At an indoor NFL stadium would you suggest shooting manual on auto ISO? Tips for shutter? I shoot high school football but the team is going to championship at an indoor stadium and I am not used to shooting with good lighting. Any tips is much appreciate. I have a rented Nikon D6.
I typically like to stay at a manual iso, just so I know what level it’s at. A NFL stadium might have better lighting than other indoor arenas, but what you might find is that the amount of light doesn’t change a lot where you point your camera. If you leave it on auto your shutter speed will be affecting it. I like to keep my iso at one level and keep my eye on the general exposure level and adjust accordingly. Cranking or lowering your shutter speed past a certain speed won’t affect your photo as much as your iso jumping all over the place.
