    quick addition, you can put 4 or even 5 harvesters per cultivator, because planting drones are much faster and efficient than harvesters, also get syntheziers early, as soon as you do your first acid scouting missions you can set up massive gas powerplants with no enemies to power loads of synthesizers and harvesters if you want - the only time i mine is at the very start of the game - the rest is cultivators and synthesizers, its very easy to get to like 100 per sec of anything
    if you scan thoroughly you can setup harvesters for most ressources before you get them and can start cashing in the nanosecond the appropiate handling research finishes (except for uranium which needs the refinement research as well)

      I like to also run behind the concrete you are placing since it will automatically remove any plants (and mines) that can be removed automatically. You don't even need to clear vegetation.

    If you can make a tips/tricks/review of the weapons that would be awesome 😃

    • @salemprompthous3820
      @salemprompthous3820 2 роки тому +1

      Only major "tricks" to the weapons are the shared ammo (e.g grenade launcher and rocket launchers share their pool) and the other one is to have different damage values, like a plasma gun using acid+fire damage mods and minigun equipped with cold and splash mods, this way you'd do all damage types at all times (if you use the same weapons @Nilaus uses most). Alter the damage types depending on what weapons you use, ofc.

    3 things, you can make weapons to "store" Materials to gain later ;) also, you can scan what spawns from cultivators for some reason - just not the research building. Oh and yeah, you can put down 4 harvesters per cultivator, the harvesters take a long time to clear.

    Better suggestion for synths: Use the first low-threat desert map. There will never be any raids, so you can put all of your material/ammo storage buildings, communication hubs, armories, ammo factories, and synthesizers there, which massively frees up space on your main map.
    I made a steam guide with screenshots, but the TLDR is to have a 1 wide row of repair towers connected by solar/estorage, a one tile space, a SEPARATE power grid of nothing but 6x6 solar blocks, then another 1 wide row of repair towers. Do not use connectors, as those would connect the power grids of the separate networks.
    If the solar blocks have excess power, replace a 3x3 grid of solar with a 2x2 grid of synthesizers (which take up the same amount of space.) This method recquires no math, ratios,or protection past a few repair towers to protect against events. Simply repeat the pattern as much as you have space for, and you will be swimming in 100s of carb/iron, 100ks of material storage, dozens of ammo per second, and of course maximum research speed.
    Did I mention that their are no raids on low-medium threat maps?

    • @ArdaDaMarda
      @ArdaDaMarda 2 роки тому +2

      Wait so on low-medium threat maps you will never get attacked by a wave of enemies? Usually I always left the pre-scouting missions without building an outpost and I only build outpost when the mission objective said so. Your tipp really makes sense. On my next Playthrough I will consider this.

    • @kevinschroder4421
      @kevinschroder4421 2 роки тому +3

      The 3 scouting operations are all not raided maps. For me its easier in the acid plains cause of easier to generate huge amounts of power idependent from weather. Also theres water for cultivators or even later tech power plants.

    • @flain283
      @flain283 2 роки тому +1

      @@kevinschroder4421 I did the same on the acid map, it can be annoying to clear all the stuff out to put down the floor tiles but there is enough space to do whatever you like and as you said lots of water pools to do cultivators with.

    It's a fun game but could use some more things to do. You unlock every material in the campaign and the game ends. No final mission or anything and the existing missions don't really have that much difference other than one area having to use magma power and another corrosive resistant concrete.

    To the Maintenace-Tool: Below Alien-Research you find MechaCore. This work the same Way to reduce Costs and Time but get one more bonus each level. Example: Advanced Maintenance-Tool has 8% + 8% reduced costs and time + one bonus (20 HP for example) the advanced MechaCore has 8%+8% and 2 Bonus (HP + Shield for example). And i think the Bonus is slightly increased. But MechsCore needs more ressources to craft and more time to Research.

    • @salemprompthous3820
      @salemprompthous3820 2 роки тому

      This goes for all of the upgrades: each upgraded level gains one bonus stat, so all extreme versions gain 3 extras, which are all randomized. Craft enough of'em, and you're basically into the Diablo3 Kanai's Cube minigame

    Some people are saying putting the Research Station near farms will give you research points on the plants you're cultivating.
    Can anyone confirm that? I placed one near one cultivator and kept the bioscanner active to see if the RS would react to the scannable plants when they came out, but two showed up near it and I gained nothing at the time. I thought it was just a quest related building and sold it right after, but some people insist it raises familiarity levels.

      Only "Mud-Men" can cross it, so basically, yeah. It sounds stupid, but that's how it works, atleast for now.
      And, standing in the mud, you're untouchable from melee creepers, so it's a nice place to drag them to and use a spear: great reach, and no ammo-cost, while also able to wield two spears sumultaneously, everything dies off rather fast (this is my current early-game tactic, late-game is a different matter with all the armories and ammo storage available)

    one of those disappointing because it could have been so much better games. What stands out is the poor balancing. Like, I never even used anything passed geothermal for power cause wind was so op there was never a need for better really. The higher tier buildings need to use exponentially more power to force the player to actually use the high tier power generators.
    I could write a novel here but I'll just leave it there.
