- This recipe is my easy and delicious take on carne guisada. This Tex Mex style beef stew is tender and delicious. It goes great with a side of Mexican rice and homemade soft flour tortillas.
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 to 2 lbs beef stew meat
1 tomato
1/2 onion
2 cloves garlic
1 beef or chicken Knorr bullion cube
1/2 tsp to 1 tsp ground cumin (to your taste)
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
2 tbls flour
2 to 2 1/2 cups water

Hi Chanda Cofield, if you use jalapeños it will be spicy. The recipe I posted in the above video does not require jalapeños. Happy cooking! :)

I was looking for a good carne guisada recipe to cook for my husband and came across this recipe so I tried it more than a month ago and it tasted so delicious! My husband loved it! I even loved how it taste and I’m not into carne guisada! My kids even loved it ! It was a hit! I make it every week! One of family’s favorite recipes no lie ! 😋🙂

Winner winner carne guisada dinner. One of my favorite dishes so I had been wanting to make it. The first time I made it is the first time my hubby and little ones have ever had the dish and they all LOVED it. The baby asked for seconds after eating her first plate really fast. And my oldest said I'm a good cooker. My husband and second oldest just ate until their dish was clean. SCORE!

i made this today for dinner... what a hit it was... made some carne guisada fries with cheese and carne guisada fritos with lettuce tomatoe spanish rice avacado and shredded cheese... boy oh boy the carne guisada was unbelievably good... thanks so much...
Me and my dad made this recipe together and just doubled the measurements since we made a big portion and it was soooo delicious! Well worth the wait! Needless to say it was all gone by the end of the night!

This has been my go to recipe for years! I add green bell pepper and a bit of cracked black pepper but otherwise this has always been a favorite in my home.

Great recipe! I converted this to Instant Pot by doing high pressure for 1.5 hours (controlled release) and then adding the slurry at the very end to thicken. It was FANTASTIC! My Grandma would approve!

I've been cooking this recipe for about 2 months now and I can say that this is one of my wifes favorite meals for me to cook her. Only deviation from the recipe is that instead of water I replace with chicken or beef broth. Killer recipe, thanks for sharing!

Hey there, I made this VERY EASY recipe yesterday. I have a partner who can't eat much meat due to weak jaw muscles (Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy). When this was done he wanted it over white rice and he ate TWO servings! He later said he could've ate 3!!

I dont know how to cook at all!!! I even burn water 🤦♀️🤷♀️ when I made this and fed it to my kids and husband they loved it!!! Thw only thing is they do not believe that I cooked it!! I told them I got the recipe from UA-cam they laughed and said I bought it already made! So I've been working alot lately so I haven't been able to re- do the carne guisada to prove to them I did indeed cooked the damn thing. So tonight I shall try it again! I love chronic asada I'm from Texas too I'm from azle we used to go to fort Worth over there by the stockyards any at the Mexican restaurant my favorite one is closed down now but man I love chronic asada with rice that's good stuff

Our local grocery store H.E.B has the meat and sauce all ready made in a plastic pouch just brown the meat and sauce and add water & tomatoes & chilies. Yes I cheat however my co-workers think it's made from scratch yes it's that good.
