      Hi Brad, we have only had 1 person say no to filming and that was when we first started out. We are a familiar site at the shows and most traders are happy to chat with us. The painting was a definite no trust me lol. The coal tipper was great wasn't it and the battleship wow! All the best Rick.

    Nice show again, seem to be a lot of layouts.
    I've got real respect for those clubs and individuals who transport their layout modules to these shows, for everyone to enjoy.
    Staring by loading everything at home, drive to the event, put everything together, do the show, breaking up everything again , put everything back in transport, drive home and unload, store or build it up again at home.
    Seems to be some nice bargains again, even Pauline knows at what seller she needs to go for the candy🤣
    And also Rick's attempts to decorate the launch is still there, but unfortunately without succes, but I admire his determination😜
    Great video again, keep up the good work…
    Cheers,
    Danny

    Grand video, all of that. I really loved the Newbury Mill layout especially, but that battleship/cruiser model is what really has me re-watching that part of the video. All else has been overshadowed, even those amazing blue Pullman's you found. Mind you, I love seeing which models grab the eyes and hearing about them, but big warship... really big warship. Sadly, it wouldn't fit in the tub, and I got rid of my pool years ago.

      Thanks very much Anthony, the Bismarck was Germany's most famous battleship of ww2. Pretty much sank on its first venture out to see by the Royal Navy in 1941 in revenge for it's sinking our prized battleship The Hood. All the best Rick.

    @alantraish3368 11 місяців тому +1

    Hi there
    Excellent video as always👍. Can I just point out where Pauline mentioned the overhead pantograph on the 71, it had a different purpose on these. Taken from wiki:
    Power supply
    Edit
    Power collection was from a 3rd rail at 650V DC (Eastern & Central sections) or 750V DC (Western section) and control was by flywheel booster, as in British Rail Class 70. In some yards (notably Hither Green, South East London and Snowdown colliery near Dover) overhead wiring energised to 650V DC was used. This overhead collection method was only employed where it was deemed too dangerous to have an electrified third rail, with staff constantly at ground level reaching between vehicles to couple and uncouple trains.
    There is more on it but essentially that is the crux of it. I have two 71s and they are fantastically smooth with the big flywheels inside.

    • @wellchuffedrailways
      @wellchuffedrailways  10 місяців тому

      Thanks for the info Alan, we don't see many 71s but I do find them fascinating. Thanks for watching Rick

    What great looking layouts, I so much want to get my layout going again, stalled at the moment as baseboards needed. As usual I am so envious of the work others have done. I don’t normally like American layouts , but the Amtrak one was worth seeing. It’s a shame that N Gauge ones often have their trains running too fast. What great bargains and super discounts. When I win the lottery ( big time) I will be buying loads . But until then I will have to dream. Lol. Great video, glad Bobby had a day out even if he was more interested in escaping, lol . Have a great week. Cheers for brightening up my Sunday morning. 🥳🥳🤪

    3:10 That looks like a Lima Nova transitional one with the flush windows, or did the UK get the flush windows vehicles earlier
    7:11 That one (with euro couplers) is now sold as Jouef, Lima also fitted some UK vehicles with euro couplers in starter sets to get a wider range of short vehicles
    25L27 How many hours did that model take to build already?

    • @wellchuffedrailways
