Seed's story may not be the best but you can't deny the designs hold up
Right? I'm so glad that the Zaku Warrior and Ginn got MGs now. So many nice designs out of SEED.
for me, gundam seed for gundam, is what the bayverse is for transformers. not good by any means, but decent
Seed has the most stream lined design. Just the right regality for the UC fans, but just the right nuance for the AU fans. Win Win
Seed is fine in my opinion, the battles were fine only issue is destiny battles were fine but the plot was kind of bad
I still like seed tho
Seed is okay, destiny starts okay but second half was terrible
Clearly, the thing that stands out the most in that shelf is the cup noodles plastic model

@@MechaGaikotsu can you please answer a few questions for me. I am a bit of a newbie.. Well not really guess. Building for 7 or 8 months, 15 HG's, 25 RG's and 3 MG's (just changed over).. Hooked.. Anyway. The blue Mark V that is due for preorder release in the next month or so... Is that a new kit or just a re-release? Why is the new Raise Cain Hyaku-Shiki so insanely high priced. Thanks very much.. Planning a few orders here.. Love the vids. Watch every one....
@@garethmurphy8235 it is a brand-new P-Bandai release. But PB kits usually get multiple runs. The Raising Cain Shiki I think is one of those exceptions, which helps explain why it’s expensive. Plus I think the MSRP is high from the start (prob bc of the mekki coating), which doesn’t help.
I love Zaft Grunt suits so much, it's like modernized versions of Zeon's

A bit of technical stuff, the Zaku packs are called "wizards"
Bandai did a great job in differentiating Seed grunt suits. The Zakus feel as if they are for land use while this one feels that it's meant for both the sky and land.
.... except the ginn still needs that flight unit to stay in the air. Its the DINN or BABI that can remain in the atmosphere
The ginn did have a flight pack which was from the ginn TAR type
@@adriancomia6618 yeah but was early used. The guals were cheaper. And faster to manufacture so I'm sure that's why zaft made those which makes since during a war personally if I was in zaft if I got a choice it would be the zaoot easy
I love all the ZAFT units, but the Gin has been one of my fav models, it's so cool! Might have to get a MG one now after watching this.
Could've wish it's GINN II instead of Zaku in Destiny. That torso looks fine on it. GuAIZ seems to be underutilized. I feel like wanna paint a GuAIZ in red, making it Lunamaria's custom. Heck, GuAIZs should've been redcoat standard unit in Destiny.

This isn't really mentioned in the video but personally I *love* the black plastic used in this kit because it barely shows any stress marks if it shows any at all which is really important on black parts since, well white stress marks are painfully obvious on dark colors
The things I love from watching Mecha Gaikotsu channel is because of his character developments and how he presenting the content from time to time . I like it very much , I wish all the good things for you

I always love the grey and orange zaft ms units.
The GINN was my first ever Master Grade. It was quite a fun build for me and it looks great next to my RG Zeong.
I love the Zaft designs and can't wait to see what else they use the frame for, hopefully a Guaz and Gouf Ignited

For some reason, I’m falling in love with grunts more than the main gundams. Jesta is my all time favourite Gundam. Luna Maria and Ginn are tied to a close second place lol. Seriously
The only thing I can lump with them that’s a gundam is the justice 2.0 the wing gundam and the MG RX-93 Nu. Just cause I love the idea of a normal gundam with the psycho frame haha.

A good tip for those panel lining markers that aren't water soluble: Lighter fluid and a toothpick.
Just get like a little medicine cup and pour a very little amount of lighter fluid, you just need the tip of the toothpick to be coated. That's my go-to way to panel line venting with gaps too narrow for the fine-tip gundam markers.
Reminds me of MG of Gundam X and Double X, simple designs made great by neat panel lines and details
Oooooh so THAT'S what the 2nd marker you showed was for! I just got that same metallic marker set for the gold and silver markers but was confused as to what the thinner marker was for. I can confirm that this marker can be used to panel line the RG Nu Gundam's fin funnels and It does this way better than the standard fine tip marker which could barely get through the grooves. Just do 2 or 3 passes on the lines and clean up with an eraser or Q-tip and voila!

What an incredible design!
SEED was my first experience with Gundam and it still ranks up there as one of my faves. The first Gunpla I ever bought was a grunt suit from seed, the HG M1 Astray, though I was too ambitious and tried to paint it, not completing it and it lies in it's box primed but not ready to go. Glad to see a SEED grunt in MG as that is my preferred size, and hope that someday we get a proper MG Astray (not color frame or other variant) as well as a Murasame and some GuAiz/GuAizR.

Have you tried the bottled panel line accent color? I used to work with the pen before... till i was introduced to the bottled one, it's sooo quick and effective.

One of my favorite grunts from SEED
So many potential in the GINN. That Zaku torso looks fine on it. It just need the right colour. Could've gone with GINN II in GSD though because it gives Cosmic Era more identiry and originallity to it despite being a monoeye grunt. To me, it is THE Zaku of Cosmic Era.
The company Molotow, the ones that make the liquid chrome markers, make a .05mm tip pens and they're great for panel lining. The excess can even be wiped away with an eraser when dried

Whenever I see a new review video from Mecha Gaikotsu, I try to guess the tier he gives.
I would love to see a review of the Lightning Gundam and its weapon back weapon systems
Personally, I actually prefer sticker-style compared to waterslide... because I really never have good experience with water slides. Its just difficult to use. I guess dry transfer will be best, but sticker will be second-best
Tbh the zakus in the seed story are awesome looking compared to the other allied mobile suits.
Even the cgue deep arms from seed is awesome even for a prototype weapon

Wish it was a mainstay in GSD. The torso does looks fine on it. Also the GuAIZ, they're underutilized and not much screen time. The GuAIZ R got a pair of hip railguns while the GuAIZ Experimental Firearms Type got the Freedom's beam rifle and Justice sub flight wing unit. CE got a lot of potential.
This is extremely off topic for this video, but does anyone else want a MG core gundam? I feel like it would come with the Venus, Mars, and Earth armor in the box and the rest would be a PBandai expansion set like with the barbatos

the fineliner pen comes off with an ordinary staedtler plastic eraser which you can cut with a knife to make really small shapes!
Just ordered this one and the full mechanics Calamity to give my Remastered Strike something to square off against.
I don't use paint on my kits, unless the surface is recessed and I won't touch it.
I panel line with a painters pen and use alcohol as a solvent.
Not recommended if you're painting, because it strips paint.
But it gets a much deeper black, and you can have oily or clean looks depending how you use it.

All those Zaku mentions got me wondering... have you done the Psycho Zaku review?
As a fan of Seed mecha design, I picked two of those.
First I thought to do the Miguel version with the second one (one day or another because paint lazyness :p) but seeing your mix I wonder if I won't choose that mix version though (I still have a redundant zaku warrior since Pbandai make the Ray's one now).
I hope they will continue with that line and make a MG CGUE too ^^.

Wife got me a MG Kyrios for Xmas and I didnt think I was going to like the 1/100 scale as much as 1/144 but I was wrong. Hoping to make this my second MG. Im a sucker for orange accents 🤣
For panelling I use blank ink, regular shop ink. It works like the first product you shown, it gives a nice deep lining that look drawn and it is water soluble. You can easily clean it off with without damaging any paint underneath. You can apply it with a brush and a property towel, or a 1€ quill. If you charge the quill a lot it even autofill, even of less of the marker I guess. I don't see the point of buying a market from the other side of the world.
Also, the grey pour type pen is easier to use i find, it flows easier. the black sometimes doesnt want to flow right..
Now we need the MG Cgue
In my dreams I would paint it in the colors of the dark angel's Deathwing Terminator
I chose to preorder the Xi Gundam over this and I do not regret that - finished it last nigh and love it - but I think I might just splurge on this now

I actually think having more non-UC grunt MGs is great, because for a long time the GN-X was the only non-UC grunt that had a MG kit.

I'm not a grunt suit guy , but the Ginn is a happy a exception.
Really hope this means we'll get kits of Gai's and the High Maneuver Type II, sadly if we do they'll be P-Bandai.
My first gunpla i got was the no grade 1/144 Guaiz so i technically got a Ginn variant before any other model kits in my collection lol. I hope Bandai give us either MG Guaiz or HGCE Guaiz because i loved the design.

Mecha, try to use a silver marker for the black plastic, i use it and the results are awesome

The shoulder joints break really easily on the zaft frame if you bring the arms forward too far,the joint snaps off
