Hi mecha
Omg i cant believe its the real mecha gaikotsu
Hey ! What did you got for christmas ?
@@__jesterguts Ironically i got a gundam, its the MG quanta fullsaber
@@oshiji240 cool !
The IBO HG kits are for the most part the best HG kits I've ever built. I'm glad the Barbatos was my first kit since it got me so hooked on Gunpla
Started with a RG RX-78-2 myself, and I agree with him that the pre assembled inner frame is pretty cool even if I'm nervous messing with those tiny pose-able hands
I first built a Barbatos Lupus Rex then the Bael and after that it made me want to buy and build more and I dont know why Im Loving this hobby
I started with the hg 00 and I’m getting the Barbados as my second
My first kit is the barbatos 6th form
@@rhedgaming mine is the Hg revive rx-78-2 the hg moon Gundam the hg origin char zaku 2 the the wing Gundam zero ew the norris packard gouf custom the hg leo then two sd then hg barbatos lupus now I'm waiting for hg jupitive gundam
WAIT early RG’s just loosen up ?!?!
Oh it’s more than that. Old RG’s require several blood sacrifices and cost me my insanity just so that they stay together ,and I’m a very patient person.
Zeta was my first
Wait so other grades aren’t like this??? I’ve only ever built RGs
I have a 00 raiser and it's right arm just suddenly snapped when i'm posing it
Agreed it's so hard to post my destiny gundam without some parts falling
Freedom gundam is my first rg
The strategy not to get bored
Build different suits from different series.
Start painting complex stuff. It's sure to last you a month and you'll appreciate a kit that much more. Not to mention that it's going to turn a model kit into what it's supposed to be, not a quick snap toy.
6 years and (I) still hadn't moved to 1/100 kits

RIP Syd Mead, the Turn X is a masterpiece of sci fi design
I hated the design of Turn A and everything else besides the SUMO
But god damn I loved his work in Blade Runner and other Sci-Fi
CMP not gonna lie I did too, but everything REALLY grew on me and the Turn A might be one of my favorite designs now lol
I still can't accept this fact, it was kinda to sad for me, cause when i was young i was lovin 1986 "Short circuit", where was cool designed Johnny 5th. from this day i was in love with robots...
The Turn A and Turn X are not only the ugliest gundam’s but the ugliest mechs I’ve ever seen

Gotta say, 2019 was a good year for Gunpla. However, its going to get even better next year since it will be the 40th anniversary for gunpla.

The master grade turn X is the most interesting kit I've ever built. Aside from that I've done the Ball, an ERG (Red frame), and IBO high grade.
My still favorite build has to be the graze in the IBO line though, it's just so... Unique
and awesome to have 10 of to make it a little army
i have a full diorama with anime accuracy
its so cool and an awesome looking millitary grunt suit
and so customizable i have one that has 4 arms and longer legs with widened torso and it looks like a monster its scary to look at
@@thedandy6765 not to mention that Graze has decent variants. They definitely earned their title as the IBO version of the Zaku. Schualve Grace is my favourite.

Butt-Bagg Ass Mann thank you for doing the lords work
I'm a gunpla builder that didn't build any for the past 6 months. And... I got 13 backlogs of gunpla, so yeah, I'll try your recommendation. Thank for sharing :)
I'm in the same boat too, I'm trying to get back into action thru the wargreymon kit
I found the HG Guntank Early Type from the Origin line to be pretty unique. The molded in detail is great and its got way more articulation to it than one would expect. It definitely keeps away that second leg sadness syndrome too.

But Tristan is a good kit if you have actual skills and can customize it.
Casey Jones good god no!! So many better and unique kits out there.

I start burning out with normal builds, I switch over to SD kits. The Soketsuden/Sonketsuden and BB Legend lines are super fun if a bit sticker heavy.
The Legend BB line is straight up one of my favorite Gunpla lines ever
that's part of the fun of SDs, not a single kit is finished OOB. I'd reccomend using the sticker sheets that come with em as a guide for hand painting them.
@@Jacqthepossposs That's not totally true, some of the better Legends kits really didn't need much work beyond lining
For most SD lines you aren't wrong though
My first SD kit was the sinanju

Tequila gundam master grade is all I have ever wanted in my life
The Turn X was my first MG I completed and the first Model Kit I panel lined. It is one of my favorite suits and is definitely in my top 5 Mobile Suits list on design and Concept (pun intended) alone.
the IBO kits are what really got me into Gunpla
Same here
khan3550 same here. Every time i see barbatos it will bring back the first time i build it 😂
My first IBO kit was Astaroth Origin
I'm going to wait for Marchosias. Boi looks sick
"Airly" real grade. Took me 2 minutes to figure out what he was saying, and I watch Mecha's stuff regularly. Really channeling the Irish in today's video.
The thumbnail is me when shower cold
Another way to change it up is to get into painting (for those who usually snap+panel line)
Customization of any kind can turn a basic build into a fun and rewarding experience.
easier said than done especially when you dont have the skill/creativity for painting. ive tried and i still suck at it.
I'm getting into paneling and scribing and while I'm still a noob, I'm really enjoying the learning process :)
@@kylemagz sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. What did you find the hardest? Pick a color scheme? Did you struggle to apply the paint itself? Some other issue ? Cheers!
@@Omnidragon00 nice! It's important to accept to suck before getting better :)
the Moon Gundam, for an HG the thing has no stickers at all plus the eyes and camera sensors are separate pieces too! and the build level is almost RG-like.
You're not just a reviewer, you also understand the lifestyle! Kudos to youu. Not many of em did this except Kakarot as far as i kno. Keep doing content like this!!
Merry/Happy Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa Eve everybody!!
Padoru?
@@flushed2066 I deeply apologize, PADORU TO EVERYONE
Never get bored with a gunpla. There are ton more to do on the details like seamless, waterslide, spray paint, add panel lines, & custom builds. The more deeper you get the more time you gonna spent on them. Even sanding down water marks and seamless take 6+ hours on a hg.
I'm currently building the MG Guntank as something completely different. Definitely a unique build from any typical Gunpla I've built before!
So I’m not the only one that got bored building gunpla at times. Thinks for making this video
Seeing this video and you recommending the IBO High Grades really brings memories back to my first actual High Grade kit, and well first gunpla kit in general which was the Barbatos Lupus High Grade. Definitely made some mistakes like not noticing I was putting things on in reverse with the waist armor, but man was it a fun build for my first time round. One of my favorite kits that I put together, which is saying a whole lot for someone who hasn't put many gunpla kits together.
I actually got G-40 clear variant as my second ever kit the other day and put it together last night. I really enjoyed putting it together. I had no idea that it was one of the more articulated kits...I just liked the clear look to it!! 😁😁
I know you mentioned all of the IBO kits but the HG Gundam Vidar deserves special shout out imo that kit not only has an inner frame but Master grade level gimmicks. The amount of fun stuff that kit can do is absolutely insane especially for a HG.
The high grade from the ibo was always awasome like the awasome ibo series
When the standard HG, MG, or even the RE/100 kits become boring, I pick up an old school pre-HG/MG kit. Once you've finished an old school kit in which gluing, sanding, and painting is required (and sometimes also comes with a bonus of having terrible parts fit), coming back to modern day HG/MG kits is an absolute joy. :)
To you the guy I watch the most of if you feel like you done it all, build a clear (expo) or a exclusive coat of some sort it just finished my first p-bandai (ploypod) and the g-self hg expo clear version is the crown centerpiece of my collection right now. out of everybody I know you deserve it the most to experience something like exclusive limited-edition build. Enjoy the holiday season 😎
A lot of the kits released for the Zeta movies are really fun, the transforming ones especially. The Asshimar, Methuss, Gabthley and Gaza C are all incredibly unique. There's nothing quite like them, and they have perfect/near perfect transformations to boot.
You've summoned the almighty one with that thumbnail.
3:02 "if you're wondering about that review~ Maybe"
i don't know why but that got a chuckle out of me
Master Grade will always be my all time favorite. Love everything about all of them.
Agree. The mobile pod ball is really good one.
Im a beginner in this for a gumpla, and i loved when build the marsfour and veetwo unit, its really cool
Just built the HGM 1/550 Dendrobium and had a lot of fun.
So either get iron blood series or every core gundam. Other ways go for destroying your wallet gundams
As well as buy every 00s MG & RG
The real answer is go out and build the bizarre zeon suits, those builds are quite different and a lot more fun
@M'asuda the Liar You sure you aren't just looking at the 4 different versions of Barbotos? Because the rest are all pretty unique from one another.
See also the 30-Minute Missions line! A lot of unique stuff there, fully customizable, and pretty inexpensive. That is, unless you just want to buy all of the options...
The Earthtree deserves an award for being on the most Mecha Gaikotsu Top 10 lists. I don't think I've ever seen any other kit make so many repeat appearances- Not that I'm complaining, I love the Core Gundam.
It's either he'll end the year or start the new year with the review of the MG Barbatos so chill guys
Mecha's promotion of Raid is like the game itself. Its on a next level
I haven't watched one of your videos for a while, I should start watching and getting back into gunpla again
HEY, don't be hating on my Hyakuren! Was one of my most enjoyed builds, very unique and streamlined design.
Char Aznable I actually quite liked that one as well. If ya wanna point out a disappointing HGIBO Kit better to call out the Hugo
Thank you for the recommendation!
That Marsfour is adorable, definitely getting one
When I got bored of Gunpla, I put together a few Kotobukiya kits- a Frame Arms Girl Gourai-Kai, and an ADF-01 Falken.
Your slight accent along with the way you bounce your voice make the videos interesting. Keep up the good work man!
My favorite unique build is the MG Z'Gok. It's not challenging at all but it's totally different from anything else I've built. Even the two different versions (red/blue) are slightly different from each other (I've built both). Just a very laid-back build and I recommend it to anyone.
Thank you for this so incredibly interesting video! I'm so proud to have different Gunpla of your list in my collection: the HG of Iron-Blooded Orphans line, the RG Double 0 Raiser, and to have some of them in my personal Wishlist (some of them are some kind of mirage...for example thinking about the PG Exia).
The only model kit that I want to suggest and add to your list is the RG Nu Gundam because it's really astonishing for his structure, posability, and for his built. I loved to build it from the beginning just to the end, I really enjoyed every minute I spent on the Nu Gundam.
Thanks again, you always make interesting videos, in which I can feel how much passion you have for the Gunpla world.
I take the chance to wish you and everyone of your incredible community, Merry Christmas: your video it's a unique gift!
Compliments, Merry Christmas and see you next time!
Pefectly Recommendable this Quarantine Era
I LOVE ibo hg too. Cant wait for more!
about that...
That Turn X looks amazing.... I want it...
The hg ibo vidar was my first kit and I love it
Soon i’ll be able to work and get all the gundams i ever wanted!
Merry Christmas, newtypes!!!!! Still waiting for that Mg Barbatos review though!!
I only have 3 GunPla kits to my name but the latest, that being the Real Grade Sazabi, was really fun to put together (inner shoulder joints notwithstanding) and the size and dynamic shape of the figure is impressive all on its own.
Turn A and Turn X had to be one of the weirdest for me, absolutely love those two but they definitely had a different approach when it comes to building the two, especially X and his hinged legs
Deep Striker for the win loved that build
Beautiful video mate! Love your content.
Merry Christmas Mecha Gaikotsu! and everyone else reading this!
i feel like your recommendation for older kits are mainly suited just for those that just started getting into this hobby. for those that has been around the entire time started with the first MG RX78, we all know what older kits are like. As you mentioned the EZ-8, it was a very advanced kit when it came out and was massively popular that spawned several camo printed version and special editions.
I have to say, my first kit was a HGEW Wing Zero Custom. It was cool but the quality didn't feel great. Tried building the MG Gundam Dark Matter Exia and that thing is a hand grenade. 2 bad kits but I wanted a good freaking kit so I tried the RG Sinanju... bad kits... then I built the Gun EZ and the HGBD Knight Gundam. I've built many more kits since then and I love it. Gaikotsu here is where I go before buying a new kit. Great stuff!
The Core Gundam Variants are all awesome though and true it so fun to build I really do enjoy it mech I'll get those other variants soon 😁
still waiting for your review of MG Barbatos.
YES!
Better to go see a real builders review of that kit.
Built my first kit, HiRM Astray Noir 🤙 loved your review of it. Waiting for my Dynames MG Freedom metal build, barbatos Metal build and the red frame master grade to come in.
My very first Gunpla kit was the RG Zeong. I don't regret it and love the shit out of the Zeong. My favorite mobile suit.
As usual. Smooth transition to ads👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾🥺🥺 most smooth of them all
Thanks for the tips man!
The current build divers is the best season. The last episode was great.
I have 1 yellow Alto and two Portanovas (green and grey), and they’re AWESOME! Buy these if you have the chance, they’re really good!
At first I didn't like the core gundam, but thanks to my friend recommending me the Marsfour.. Gotta admit, I loved it and the build was really great. I've never felt so wrong about a kit before
I've been thinking of trying gunpla for the longest time and am very tempted to try ibo line just don't know what to start because I'm cheap and love them all
That Amuro...Amuro... Got me so good! XD I love these Reviews ^^
highly recommend rg gundam mk ii as that's the most solid kit i''ve got even compared to some MG kits

Just as a note with the early Real Grade kits, some of them have expansion kits for them that replace the early frames.
This list is going to help me alot since I felt my latest MG were sorta similar
5 Zaku II 2.0s, 4 ZZ (including 2 FAZZ) and most of the non P-Bandai Wing kits later : nope, still doing them and enjoying it .................. Blatantly gratuitous personnal flex included :D
If you liked the MG Ball, I also would Highly recommend the MG Acguy and the MG Gyan. They both give off a lot of the same vibes, and are quite interesting.
The MG Guntank is also completely unlike anything else you will ever build.
I remember getting a LEGO form of SLS on the sets I built because of symmetry purposes, but now with gunpla I tend to just build both legs at the same time
ever since i bought my first gunpla kit.. up to now.. i never get bored !!!!! #IPROMISE :)
The High Grade RX-75 GunTank is a pretty unique build since it’s a Tank Centaur with quad-barreled guns for hands. Plus, there’s a tiny pilot sculpted into the cockpit face.
RG Zeta is a very unique build, due to its transformation it builds very differently from a normal gundam.
*still gonna get all the 08th mgs cause it's what got me into Gundam*
i literally bought all of the planet system, including the alus, g3 core 2, anima rise, re rising gundam and the limited core gundams and weapons, and i live it on shelf
My idea of changing it up a bit is doing my first Eva kit in a month or so when it releases. Mainly so MG kits, but picked up a couple HG and now another RG for a little change.
MG Gogg got me back into the hobby
I’m mixing it up by building and painting warhammer minis and to make a long story short I’ve already got 2500 points of seraphon, 40 deathwatch models for killteam and now I’m building a 2k Tyranid list
"fifth impact"*PTSD INTENSIFIES*
I would also say that the Gundam Girl kits from Build Divers are a unique experience and now we will get more of them as well as anime girl model kits from different anime, like with the new Asuna kit. Plus ever since Ayame we will get water slide decals with them.
I know that this is primarily a Gundam channel, but I can't praise the Super Minipla kits enough. Small size but tons of poseability, various kit interactions, and the ability to get good quality versions of figures from the past from properties like Power Rangers /Super Sentai, and right now I'm working on a Voltron kit.
