So I don't like to be that guy, but the Gundam MK V destroyed the S Gundam during their first encounter. Once the S Gundam got upgraded into the EX/S Gundam, the MK V got it's ass kicked up and down the moon. It wasn't even a fair fight because of how OP ALICE is. Just wanted to correct that little piece of info, keep up the amazing reviews.
@@MechaGaikotsu if I remember correctly, the Mk V also kicked the asses of a team of FAZZ, not Full Armot ZZ Gundam, the prototypes known as FAZZ. Like it was one sided
Fun fact: The MK V has such wicked speed that it's pilot shattered his teeth from doing an evasive maneuver, It even destroyed the 3 man FAZZ team on it's own and 2 more prototypes were made and one of them was assigned to Amuro Ray. Edit: Like what was said below, the FAZZ units though powerful have no melee range weapon at all and the MK V used that to it's advantage.
Having no melee weaponry will screw you over. If they had melee or actually had a zeta plus to cover its weakness they'd all have a better chance to survive.

You're forgetting the HGAC P-Bandai Gundam Geminass units, which pretty much look like standard release HGUC boxes aside from not having the sequence numbers on the boxes.
@@benh3518 this certainly is not the 1st P Bandai kit to have full color box art as several Master Grades and Ver Ka kits have P Bandai Versions with full color.. as far as standard release goes, the HGAC Geminass was part of some Bandai Project unit..
If anything, they did the right thing Sentinel doesn't sell & become shelf hogger FAZZ is a common occurence in toy store Meanwhile, gundam mk v is in shortage & people pay twice to get it through proxies & bandai directly get their cash
I was waiting to see what gimmick would be included too make it open up to a practical width to use as a shield and... nope. I don't see how this would be any good as a shield.
they have reflectors and other tech that made the width less important because it's not the physical shield that is stopping anything. more like a barrier that is being projected by the shield. also it can be used as a jet even while it's on the arm. so it's like an emergency booster as well as shield.
The way you handled the kit almost made it look like a high end action figure. It just looks so sturdy and well put together im sad i missed out on this one
Finally built it. The build process was so fun! It's a really high-quality kit. The white is all color-separated parts, so if you chose to airbrush it, you wouldn't need masking tape. Panel lining makes the outside less plain. Once built it is very solid. No parts will fall off due to gravity or sneezing from a mile away. What a joy to build!
So which is gonna be the reguler release? Doven Wolf? Silver Bullet? Suppressor? None? Phenomenal Gundarium Tier for phenomenal premium kit. Sorry for the sarcastic comment, nice review tho'
I fell in love with the MK V after I unlocked it in Gundam Battle Operations 2. It’s a beast and I like its unique look. It doesn’t look like a Gundam to me, but I like it’s design in general. I preordered the kit the moment it was available. This and the HG MK III. Maybe someday Bandai will release the MK IV to fill in the gap.

Well since Gundam Sentinel is basically a side-story to ZZ and both take place at the same time, Mk V having the same huge-ass beam sabers/cannons as ZZ makes sense. Even more so when both suits were made at the same place by the same company roughly at the same time ...... EX/S also has big cannons on its shoulders (but sabers in the knees)
suddenly realize the level of blueness and white is a reference to the haori's worn by the Shinsengumi (Most of the antagonist in sentinel references the Shinsengumi )
somehow wish bandai would start including spares and a rubber version with every v-fin /antenna equipped unit with the rubber version the last version you can use without breaking
I think some dudes sell 3D printed spares of some gunplas, or you can make those yourself, if one of my gunpla's V fin brokes I always make a new one with the runners, is not hard, but yes, I feel the pain too XD

They should really do something to make all the other gundam sentinel kits like the Nero and the GM II Nouvel into model kit form.
This is the gundam I’ve pretty much waited for a kit of for forever. Held out hope for a proper kit after failing to build a fan-made papercraft version many, many moons ago. Now it’s on the way, I’m stoked! Great review though, really hyping it up for me!
If im not mistaken there is a sort of omen when it comes to number 4. See, 4 is called "Shi" which means death too in niponggo. To understand it further, Some floors in China doesn't have 13th floor for the same reason, they think that it is a bad luck.
after playing this mobile suit in gundam battle operation 2 on PS4 a lot, I've fallen in love with it, it's such a mean looking gundam, the face and head are like none other. I definitely wanna pick this kit up now. here's hoping we get master grade, doven wolf, silver bullet, and silver bullet supressor if the mold is so good and solid.

not really, this kit is actually pretty common at the moment. just bought one on ebay for less then 100 usd. for p.bandai or big kits in general that's pretty cheap. it's harder to get the rg hi-nu for a reasonable price an that came out this month lol.
@@senpie6639 The HGUC S/Ex-S weren't THAT bad. They were kinda top-heavy, didn't transform and had no functioning INCOMs but they did everything else... Which is stand there being a brick... At least the Ex-S could still crotch-mount the Beam Smart Gun.
A lot of recent mg bandai kits are either gundarium or gold tier and I think that's good coz that means a lot of what they're doing is right. I hope this continues to future kits
Fun fact: the mark v was actually I kind of hybrid of the gundam mark 2 and 4 and the psycho gundam so technically it is technically a psycho gundam mk v instead of a gundam mk v (just what i heard might not be true)

The Gundam Mk 4 & 5 share parts, noticeably the hip skirts, cos the latter is derived from the former. Bandai probably wanted to get the more well-known Mk 5 done first before doing the Mk 4 which originates from an SD game. Speaking of MGs of SD designs: WHERE THE FRICK IS MY MG KNIGHT GUNDAM!!!

ya kno i don't think anyone else out there has mentioned how this kit was made to be reused with the mkv frame runners. i think that made it very clear to me that one of the variations down the line could be a normal release (hope fully silver bullet).

The 1/100 on MGs means it's up to scale, so if the model is a foot high, the "real" suit would be huge .....
That shield definitely looks like it works better as a booster than a shield, it’s almost as thin as the arm

It is a booster shield actually, can be mounted on the back.

It probably means that this kit was intended to be a full release kit originally, but they decided to make it P-Bandai at the last moment
It's because some people like master grade boxes because they look cool
It should also indicate it will be available as full release for some market at some point, kinda like what Astray Turn Red become.

The shape and color scheme makes me think Romeo Blue from pacific rim was inspired by the mkv gundam

In japan, the word for 4 is 四 "shi", and the word for death is 死 "shi". So thats why there's no mk4, 4 =death and is unlucky

Had a lot of fun building the HG Silver Bullet. Of course made that one entirely silver painted.
