Some people say this is the best version they ever did. It really is stellar. There will never be another guitarist that plays a tension and release jam like trey Anastasio. His bread and butter in the 90s, absolutely thunderous tone. Great reaction! So glad i found the channel!
The singing is atrocious though. Page is badly out of key to start, when Mike comes in he's even farther off key. Great version other than that of course.
They have some songs that they have never released on a studio album that you may want to check out. Try Mikes Song > I am Hydrogen> Weekapaug Groove or Slave to the Traffic Light or Harry Hood. Those are a few, I am sure others can add some more.
Derek, you need to play Prince Caspian from the Phish festival Magnaball. It was played after Tweezer and this may be why you thought it was played with a companion song but it usually isn’t. The Tweezer>Prince Caspian 8/22/15 posted by Phish (best version as its pro-shot) is epic and compares well to any 90’s Phish IMHO. If you only want the Prince Caspian it starts at about the 17:25 mark. You won’t be disappointed if you have time to play both songs. Enjoy!
Theme is always a treat live. It covers so much ground which I mentioned in your studio reaction. They can do a lot more with it live by extending the various section. It can really rip at times too. Last one I saw live was at MSG last summer 7-30-23 which had a cool funk breakdown later
Before Alpine you may want to check out the many covers Phish play. Loving Cup-Rolling Stones Crosseyed and Painless-Talking Heads. Frankenstein- Edgar Winter Just to name a few all part of rotation of live songs.
Audience video with soundboard recording of Help on the Way>Slipknot!>Franklin's Tower from 10-8-89 in Hampton, VA. I was at this show. ua-cam.com/video/ZzlNWPVBcfk/v-deo.htmlsi=YiP852LiBVZODqBR
I say this with peace and love. Peace and love. Live videos are better for you because you’re not always trying to find the meaning of life in every lyric like the albums.
Although I would suggest not doing any fan cam videos. For Phish fans the first priority is for the sound to be HQ or close to it. The video is less important.

@@PickpocketJones Nobody ever considers the singing dude. It's a non factor in considering the jam.
Love this channel. Love this journey you're on.

The glow sticks go flying in the Tweezer for an interesting visual effect.
Thanks!

If you decide on a "Billy Breathes" - consider Amsterdam from this same tour. Feb 17, 1997

DC, DMV? I'm in DC originally from PG. Any time I attempt to post a link, it gets removed smh
I love this song but now we're stepping in to where it all fell apart. You have to be a real phan to understand. I'm surely not going to explain it.

In fairness, this is not a fan cam but the sound quality is putrid.
