I know this was posted about 2 years ago or so but here's something I want to get out. And this is probably an unpopular opinion. But Marc Martel shouldn't join Queen. I would absolutely love for it to happen. But for the sake of the original band's mental health and sanity, he should not join the band. When Marc Martel was recording for the Bohemian Rhapsody movie, the original Queen members had to step out of the recording booth multiple times because it was emotionally damaging for them. It was if an old friend had been suddenly resurrected from the dead. Marc Martel's vocal mannerisms, timbre, and overall power is so close to Freddie's, it's chilling. Imagine how they must feel for a second. A friend you got along with for years and years has passed away. You are absolutely devastated by this news. You shared countless memories. You shared all of what life had to offer you. The highs, your lows, and everything in-between. It takes a considerable amount of time for you to grieve and process that they are gone from this world. But then suddenly, you come across someone who looks and sounds just like a younger version of your friend, and they want to become friends with you. Don't you think that would be a little too much for you? Would you want to be friends with that person knowing they reminds you of the friend who you spent all those years with, spending all that time grieving over their death? Probably not. Look, I know that it would be absolutely amazing for Marc to join Queen. When I first heard him, I wanted him to be in Queen more than anyone else. But I've come to realize that would be a horrific idea because of how the other band members would feel with someone who sounds exactly like their dead friend.

Not really. He uses certain techniques that Freddie used in order to sound like him. There are certain inflections that he does not use in songs that aren't Queen's. When he's not trying to sound like Freddie, that's his natural voice.

But Brian was Badass!!! 🎸🎶 As someone said they should have had Rami lip sync on stage like the movie... Would have been better than QUEEN + Adam Lambert. But I wasn't expecting much. When I heard he was singing with Queen at the Oscars I cringed. But against my better judgement I watched. But again the band crushed it!!! Stellar on QUEEN's end. More like a MINUS for AL. Freddie wept as did I!!! 😭😭😭😭
This video mashup would’ve made a great secondary post-credits scene of the film Bohemian Rhapsody just to give Marc Martel his proper due. Him and Rami deserve equal credit in creating Freddie for the Big Screen!
It would have been nice if there was a 'Legacy' section maybe even as the credits were rolling in which one of Marc's performances with Queen Extravaganza or something of the sorts would have played as one of the clips in that section.
