The only thing I can think of when Hesse comes to mind was the Hessian mercenaries that the British hired in the American Revolution. So as a primary goal, conquer the US, only use mercenaries, and rent condotierri (using regular troops is allowed for this) to England every time you can.
Since Hesse often becomes the Emperor if Austria loses it, maybe do something HRE-related? Dissolving the empire from the inside maybe, or being elected emperor and (gasp!) decentralizing.
Hesse is historically known for its mercenaries during the American Revolution. How about proving your mercenaries are the best by beating Switzerland with a merc only army?
There's an achievement called Hessian Mercenaries: "As Hesse, have at least 50 regiments of mercenaries and no loans." Maybe Hawk can incorporate that into his campaign.
I think everyone remembers Hesse for being randomly elected emperor and for their hessian Jagerkorps so, it's only logical you dismantle the hre with only mercenaries!
Hesse was home of Philip the Magnaminous, one of the biggest champions and leaders of the Protestant Reformation, so as Hesse you should lead the Protestant League to victory in the League wars
Got hard screwed in the HRE for the first time in quite a while. Had my king die JUST as the Austrian king died and missed out on the emperorship, tossed out the whole campaign
Honestly enjoyed this one alot I've gotten the feeling the last a-z series's is that your not enjoying it as much idk might just be me but watching you have fun makes me wanna play the game even more
Assuming the armies of both sides (including aragon) are equal, having aragon against you early on is a good thing. It means you can annex like atleast half of aragon by seperate peacing them. You can even prevent the iberian wedding. But the main thing is that you can now make claims on morroco or Tunis. Them annex some territories facing the Atlantic coast (possibly even the the gold kine in morroco) next take exploration and expansion ideas to go colonial) them build several colonies to get extra merchants and manpower. By the time mid game rolls around, you can easily have like 10k dev and over a 1000 ducat income per month. That'd what I did in my most recent BYZ campaign. Also try to royal marry milan and burgundy as soon as the game starts, this is to get them as PUs
For some reason I always think Hesse are just a bunch of nice dudes in EUIV. How about being the ultimate wingman and help (or forcefeed) 3 allies fulfill all the demands of forming a nation. For example ally Utrecht and give them all of the Netherlands
Same thing of joining the hre without realizing it happened to me while playing the polans in new patch ante belum. I dont know what caused that in my case either I thought it was a mission but I guess it also works in mods
For your next Vid, as a proud Hesse myself, I expect nothing less then world conquest! But as this may be too long for A - Z series, at least form Germany, so I can show my friends that Hesse reigns supreme! :D

Obviously form Hanover, take over Britain and colonize the new world

@@mintymayhem3447 Or more radom thing related to HRE like forming France after becoming the HRE empror
Hesse sounds like ese, so you should form Mexico as Hesse.
Ok, so now we went from 'I accidentally declared a war' to 'I accidentally joined the HRE'.
I am evolving
Soon it will be "I accidentally became the HRE Emperor"
could all be japanese light novel/manga titles... "I accidentally joined the Holy Roman Empire and am now the EMPEROR?! Please help me!"
@@TheRedHawk Red Hawk is evolving into Arson Pigeon
Can you be Emperor of the HRE and Emperor of China simultaneously?

Yeah, Brandenburg gets a PU over Prussia if it forms, but because you had a PU on BB, it defaulted over to you instead.

@@hullbarrett True, just like what he did as Cilli or Georgia.
@@hullbarrett Hawk and no loans? Yeah, sure... ;D

Accepted invite to the HRE - Didn't know it was an invite and proceeds to be confused.
You forgot to take Crete...
And Naxos
@@ZetaArcticana4006 Naxos is counted in the Anatolia region, but Crete is in Balkans
@@duckstm really? That’s weird.
@@ZetaArcticana4006 yeah Naxos and the rest of the Aegean Islands area (Naxos, Negroponte, Chios, Lesbos, and Rhodes) are in the Anatolia region
Right on time for my daily session of yoga. Somehow these Red Hawk videos have become a regular part of this routine over the last half year or so...
I feel you xD
When playing as Hungary, you should fulfill Mátyás Hunyadi's dream to became the Holy Roman Emperor and Revoke the Privilegia
This was actually a failure. You forgot to grab Crete and Naxos that belong to Balkans area from Venice.
Tsk tsk
Only Crete. Naxos is in Anatolia.
Strengthen
Noble
Privileges
Strong Burocracy
That was the craziest intro of any A-Z video ever.
3:17 Since the 1.33 update I would say Catholic is actually better than orthodox.
In a few videos we'll get something like "I formed Rome by accident"
Sadly in uniting balkans crete was missed :(
Great video, it is funny to see Herzegovina become the emperor of the HRE and get both Prussia and Brandenburg as subjects! :D
I think everyone remembers Hesse for being randomly elected emperor and for their hessian Jagerkorps so, it's only logical you dismantle the hre with only mercenaries!
Hesse was at the head of the Schmalkhaldic League along with Saxony, so i guess win League war for protestants as them
Hesse was home of Philip the Magnaminous, one of the biggest champions and leaders of the Protestant Reformation, so as Hesse you should lead the Protestant League to victory in the League wars
Being from Hessen, I fully support this!
Amazing gameplay!
Long have I waited for this episode

Loved this campaign, looks a lot like the cilli campaign I did a few days ago.
My man just made Yugoslavia 400 years in advance, that's what I'm talking about
Greetings from Hurricane-ridden Florida! Love your content Hawk! Keep it up!
Austrians see "Herzegovina", "Bosnia" or the "S" word... we cry. AEIOU
Austria was all like: "you are going to imperial diet."
What a unique campaign, and what an enjoyable episode.

I hate to be "that guy", but isnt Crete also technically park of the Balkans region? I love the A2Z series and all your videos, btw.
AI Granada with a better game than I ever had with them (at least without fleeing to America).
Edit: Oh, annexed a minute later haha.
Anyone notice the mega-Grenada at 13:53 that was swiftly wiped out?
Herzegovina the hidden titan of diplomacy (?)
Anyone else notice that the Greek islands are also part of the Balkans?
Blessed
You didn't notice on how Granada gained land from Castille ?
maybe you can do the same with moldova after forming romania
What's the maximum amount of provinces you can have and still be able to form a pirate republic???
Yo! I kinda made it!
Red Hawk... you forgot 1 province in The Balkans; Crete, apparently
Restore the Omani Empire when you get to Oman (or else)
Ulm, France, what's the difference?
He never took crete, which is in the balkans region
Make Hungary cancel their alliance with Ulm
Because Ulm is too strong! 😂
should've integrated brandenburg though
Jugoslavia in EU4???
does naxos count as part of the balkans?
Didn't he forgot Crete?
For your next Vid, as a proud Hesse myself, I expect nothing less then world conquest!
But as this may be too long for A - Z series, at least form Germany, so I can show my friends that Hesse reigns supreme!
:D
Yeah this title is defintly a clickbait. You cant unite Balkans. Nobody can...
Feel like you've done a lot in HRE already, and snaked to Italy too many times, so why not form something silly like Morocco?
why dont you try serbia soon?
🤓um actually, you didnt take crete so you didnt finish the goal
edit: also naxos
Naxos is actually in the Anatolia region
You promised to do a Lot of stuff If you dont reach 100k until PDX con. Do you man Up or pull a Ludi? 🤣

Yes, you are.
Hooray!
Bosnia is Muslim not orthodox

Angry Serb noises and sad Turk noises.
Change my mind: Bosnia and Herzegovina should have missions.
