I'm a Serral fan and have been following him play in most big tournaments for past 6 or so years. I have never seen him this frustrated and helpless in a series before. This was one of those series where it must've felt like no matter what you do your opponent always is one step ahead. Clem played insanely well. Super on point with both micro and macro. Well deserved win. Still sad for Serral but even the GOAT can't win every time.
Clem makes this match up look impossible. It doesn't feel like something you can decision yourself out of like serral usually does. It just seems like Zerg doesn't have the micro capability to beat Terran at this level. But damn is Clem insane, he micros on 2/3 fronts better than most pros micro on one.
Been a Serral and dark fan for years, and seeing this game can still produce a crazy player like clem this is incredible. STARCRAFT 2 is a beautiful game
But if you watch clem pressing his keyboard, it doesnt look like he was pressing too much or clicking too much, at the end of round 3 when he was microing both armies at the same time, youll see that he was not that pressing or clicking much
@@alucardlord4876 if you watch some of his live streams you’ll see that he is incredibly efficient with his clicks. There is no spamming even though he is 400 apm. Every click has a purpose and is never repeated.
I haven't been following SC2 tournaments recently so I didn't even realize this is effectively the Blizzcon with a 400k?!? prize pool. What a time for Clem to go into the zone. Major props to him, I was blown away by his speed years ago and it's finally paid off in such a high stakes tournament. Well deserved. 2nd game with two cancels on the 4th is unheard of for Serral but he almost came back thanks to that counter on the third - Clem was quite prepared as well with hellions and reinforcement marines there but the units were clumped so that was a pretty quick -12 scvs. Clem also made quite a few micro mistakes like not picking up all his ghosts when caught on the map. Serral's creep spread on this game wasn't amazing though, probably due to Clem's non stop pressure - would have still expected more creep on the top side though since a lot of the skirmishes were on the bottom but maybe he lost the creep spreading queens. And Zerg without maphack and speed boost is really very fallible. 5:27 Now that usually never happens 24:24 Cute bane snipe 25:57 Pretty big mistake leaving at least 4 ghosts behind there 27:33 Nice scan. Was wondering how Clem knew - Serral moved it down into turret vision a few seconds earlier and Clem saw that. 27:55 Cute ghost save 28:12 Nice widow mine unburrow 36:02 Very cute reaper save 37:16, 37:26 Wow, I heard Serral had a fever? Anyway, very uncharacteristic for these things to happen to him 38:03 After seeing Maru just roll over and die to these timings, I'm surprised at how cleanly Clem held that. I wonder if diving in with all those roaches and getting surrounded by scvs and marines before reinforcements could arrive was a bad idea... Maybe losing the overlord at 37:59 meant Serral didn't have vision of high ground to know tanks weren't there at the time and he could just take a more direct path up without trapping himself. 40:45 Yeah, it's really not Serral's day today 41:20 Serral so tilted he cancelled the hatch accidentally after the first cancel 42:46 Very cute drone snipe 43:42 That's insane, I was preoccupied watching Clem defending, sieging/unsieging and counter pushing on the main screen and was shocked to see him also microing aggressively and sniping a viper on the other side of the map. 51:19 Finally, a drone not getting interrupted as it tries to morph into an expo. Must be a sign for Serral's comeback. 51:29 Artosis makes a good point that 2 of the games were roach timings and the third game had interrupted expos. But to be fair to Serral, he chose to do roach timings on maps with really good tank positions/short pushes 54:46 Am I tripping or did Serral accidentally cancel the hatch 2 times again? 55:30 Wow, starting hive at 6:34 1:00:11 Uncharacteristic of Clem - he didn't notice that his 2nd engineering bay wasn't researching +3 armor 1:01:45 Game looking a lot more like Serral's bread and butter. Creep covering half the map or more, burrowed infestor traps and taking the opponents bases as well 1:02:05 Massive catch by Serral there 1:02:50 Love to see theoretically correct play - mine the risky bases first while you still have map control 1:03:34 Signs of Clem slipping a bit after all the cute stuff above - he didn't kill that drone! 1:04:49 Love to see more theoretically correct play, put a nydus there so you have a retreat path for drones now that the sensor tower spots it 1:08:02 Feels like it's been ages since I've seen a cat and mouse game with ghosts trying to hunt down infestors to EMP 1:08:44 I'm not sure how to even read that engagement. Seemed like only 3-4 snipes actually went off 1:10:00 LMAO, Artosis is right, that doesn't make sense. It's surprising that Clem was able to pick off the right side bases so effectively. That position with turrets and a PF in the middle of the map might have been pretty damn smart, it really neutralized Serral's army movement speed advantage between the left and right sides of the map pre brood lord. The high ground in middle and choky ramps all over the place really make it tough for Zerg so sure, if you can hold that position, why not. 1:14:40 That was a master class by Clem. Sure the map helped him but still, not many Terrans could have done that to Serral. GGing with 8k/3.3k in the bank because you were methodically pushed all the way to your fourth and reinforcement lines were cut in half with no creep spread left. Seriously impressed cause that is such a rare phenomenon - the equivalent of killing a Terran with a massive bank because you effectively camped their production. 1:23:40 Not sure if Serral slipped up on macro or not but it's weird seeing Serral down so much supply in a ZvT push like this. Even after he cleans it up, he's still down on supply. In fact, Clem manages to maintain a supply lead (even if a good chunk of it is in production) after each skirmish for the next 4-5 minutes. That seems really unusual. 1:27:03 Omg, I didn't even notice a widow mine was there. That was disgustingly good for Clem. Serral usually notices and reacts like a god to mines so it's uncharacteristic this happened, especially since the lings had vision and clumped to attack the mine. 1:27:30 If Serral wasn't tilted by now, I'm tilted for him. I just noticed that his cam has been frozen for a while now 1:27:56 Okay, that plus the parasitic bomb killing a full medivac in the earlier engagement helps make up for some of the mine shots 1:28:09 I'm so used to Serral splitting like a god vs mines that seeing mine shots like this and in the fight a few seconds from now confuse me 1:29:26 I don't think I ever see Serral accidentally select a drone into his main army 1:30:18 Omg, I thought Serral was about to have revenge for those 2 sniped vipers by fungalling that entire army. How on earth did Clem know to scan himself? Maybe he knew cause Serral was posturing to attack him and that only makes sense if an infestor was there? I would have looked at it and assumed Serral was just setting up a concave to defend his top base though... 1:30:56 Not every day you see Terran with a larger bank than the Zerg in a game like this
Me before I started the replay: "I don't know if I can stomach watching Serral stomp Terran in another final." Me after it's over: "The bad man can't hurt you anymore!"
Clem playing on another level, no macro missed, defending run bys and always attacking and maximizing damage. Usually Serral can do things to tax the APM of other players but this time Clem was like a wall. The last game was just resignation.
I feel like most of the games showed resignatiion from Serral. Not able to bring his a-game during the whole tournament, the 3-0 in the group stage was probably on his mind from the get-go. He tapped out very early each game (that's kind of a gimmcik for him) as if the whole series was already played out in his head. Seeing him struggle against hero, even if he 4-0 Dark, you knew statistically that Clem who destroyed every opponent he had in this championship would be unmatched.
@@TheElinorafor me it’s more likely that Clem is a gifted child who has played Sc2 all his life. For many years he practiced a difficult playstyle to master and yesterday, we witnessed him achieve his peak. Confidence has a big role in this, with age he finally became confident. Before he was still too shaky
If I was a superstitious person, I would say it's only natural for The Kid to eventually catch up with The G.O.A.T. Despite what the score suggests, every match was a banger.
Would Clem being able to do the same, if infesters would have the not nerfed range and damage? What about the nerfed bainlings so the gap cannot be closed and marines can target them done? What about unlimited scans for terrans and zerg is running into supply blocks, if overlords are lost. And on top of everything terran upgrades complete now faster. Terran got buffed constantly and Zerg got nerfed. Finally it shows and Dark and Serral get pushed back.
@@aquaden8344 true. They cant nerf terran directly. Everytime they nerf something, they say "oh let me buff something so they dont get mad", while with zerg they have no problem at all just nerfing them. A clear example is when they buffed the upgrade time for the terrans I'm saying this and I'm not even a zerg player, but I just dont think this game is really balanced when it comes to the terran race
Why talking about terran nerf? Maybe you forgetting that we have 2 zergs, 1 protoss and 1 terran in final 4 More terrans in knockout bracket? Its because there's more terran who participated than toss and zerg

The way Clem play is nothing short of amazing. Never seen Serral so frustrated in his gameplay before. Also Clem play of minimizing loss, making a ton of siege tanks to defend his base and ghosts just spamming snipes on everything moving is something to learn by all other Terran players.
Clem is excellent at managing multiple armies. He transfers the first army into a drop while simultaneously trading with another army. Then, he transfers the second army into another drop, and so on. It feels like he can constantly have three drops on the map and a main army moving at the same time. When he adds Liberators or Banshees to the mix, it's mind-blowing. He perfectly capitalizes on his opponent's mistakes or lack of preparation, constantly harassing them while macroing for his next army to trade and drop. You often see him with a Medivac carrying just one or two Marines or Marauders, but he continues to use them efficiently.
I always knew Clem would win, he's unlike any other SC2 players and every matchup he gives it his all. He struggled a lot in Dallas, and then lost against GumiHo in another tourney after that, he went to Korea and played well and now for him to come to EWC and prove to the world he is the best just means that he knew he always had what it takes! @@JesseHermanni lol. you mean to tell me Serral beat the shiiit out of Maru in a dominating fashion but couldnt get at least 1 win against Clem because of those reasons? both terrans used the same team comp against Serral 🤦 give credit where credit is due. Terrans got bounced on Day 3 except clem (and A LOT of terran joined the tournament compared to other race). He's literally the only terran left. gtfo
Some things the commentators have missed in the fourth game: -Clem established a stronghold in the middle with turrets and planetary as soon as it was clear that they would be go into the late game. He allowed Serral to get the bases on the edges but having this stronghold in the middle allowed him to restrict Serral rotation and to trade extremely efficiently while making it hard for Serral to run by. -Clem kept sniping the overseers which eventually led Serral to be supply blocked just when he was using his huge bank to remax at the end while trying to get rid of this middle position. This made his second wave of units much weaker and, even if he eventually noticed, it lost him the game.
All I ever wanted from SC2 in the last 10+ years was to see a Protoss player be rewarded for playing well like Clem here today. Happy for Clem, hopefully Serral will get back into form. Hopefully Protoss will be buffed so it's possible to do something like what these guys have done many times, win without requiring enemy mistakes. Maxpax, Trap, herO have suffered for too long.
Spoiler Congratulations to Clem! In ESL Masters 2023 Winter fashion he defeated the top Zergs again! His consistent pressure, multitasking, and macroing perfectly behind it all was one of the most amazing and inspiring things I've ever seen. A 92 on his player card looks like a big understatement now. The top Terrans better get their wins in while they can. By next year I expect him to be just as good in TvT as he is in the other matchups!
@@blaurvedrur I would've liked to see that match too. With the way Clem was playing I would've given him the edge. Still would've been fun though as I find Clem, Dark, and HerO to be the most entertaining to watch for their respective races.
@@write-only i think it will be more or less the same result with less time. Serral beats everybody by using his marco and his overall strategy used while his micro and speed maybe better but not by much in comparison with other player. Meanwile, Clem in this EWC is winning by being faster and so far ahead everyone with micro and multitasking skill. He didnt really care what your strategy is but imposing his right from the get go. He found his way and it is very hard to counter since u have to be faster and more precise than him basically.
This was a super-human performance. Just flawless gameplay from beginning to end, with twice the awareness and micro of Serral (the final boss). Just unbelievable what we just witnessed! So proud of Clem.
I've been following Clem's games during these series and I've noticed that he's several steps ahead for several reasons: -He mainly focuses on attacking the opponent's economy, he doesn't seek out confrontations, his focus is always on killing works units, and this makes a lot of sense since army vs army, unless the opponent makes a mistake, there will usually be casualties on both sides. -He's just everywhere, waiting to sneak attack your bases. When the opponent thinks the real threat is his army, in reality, is just a distraction. The army only comes into action when it can take objectives. 99% of his rivals focus on attacking his army, which is the reason for his defeats. A clear example was Hero, despite winning some fights, Clem was constantly damaging his economy, which at the end of the day, ends up making the difference. -If you add to this a god-level multitasking and reaction speed, Clem was simply too overwhelming for anyone.
I totally agree with your point. If other top players figured out how to breakdown this pattern, they will find out that Clem should be a normal top player.
I mean Serral plays that same style. If you watched him vs Maru it was the same thing, Terran units controlled at that level are just better though. I'm not saying Serral could play Terran that well either but it just seems like Terran has the highest ceiling of all the races and I wouldn't be surprised if this is the start of a long string of Terran dominance at the pro level
@@lingzaiyue I don't know if a normal player, Clem is still extraordinarily efficient in all facets. I think a new meta has been born in which pro players should study and try to counter, since it seems that none of them were prepared and that could reduce Clem's advantage. But until that happens, it could take some time.
Kudos to Clem, shows what great play and patient means. Hero throws units and being too aggressive from time to time. Serral is still a mountain to climb for other players. Look at game time 1:10:01 to 1:12:16, how many scans being throw on the field? Scouting wins games, when you knows how big and where the enemies are, you are better to know what to do. Some Orbital Commands are on the map, not for mining but purely for mules, scans and tanking. Scans reveal the map, and they also oppress your opponent ability to scout you. See the reveal and snipes on Overseers, (150mineral, 50gas), and zerg has no more cloak detection to engage. This is a great example of how the basic core ability being impactful and shape the mid to late game.
Clem plays terran the way it should be played. Offensive in your face , high octane, high momentum. Compared to other terrans that like to turtle and take it slow.
@@orangepearlf40 agreed... it's a style that clearly showed how to take the best zerg and player in sc2 down. Clem is playing like no other terrain right now.
@@orangepearlf40 agreed! imo, terran cant turtle up vs. zergs because banelings can easily take care of any form of defensive tactics ---- while being followed by actual late game zerg units and can rebuild all those lost units back up in a snap with the amount of larvas at the late game.
Clem's level here is absolutely crazy. Serral, yet again, made beating Maru look straightforward this tournament, so to see him demolished so thoroughly is just astonishing. GG to everyone, amazing games and casting this tournament.

Maru popularized defensive Terran playstyle, Clem popularized offensive Terran playstyle. Especially in this meta, it seems Clem's playstyle is more viable. I wonder if Maru will make adjustments to his game after seeing Clem exposing Serral's weakness.

Absolutely unthinkable. Hate to admit it but yea Serral has just been on another level for so long... To see him get pulled apart and game after game (and no cheesing) just never be able to gain any traction was absolutely nothing short of masterful from Clem. I gotta pay more attention to this guy, real potential for a new goat in sc2
Just shows the Korean style (Maru) vs the non-Korean style (Clem) is a HUGE factor. Korean players need to adapt their style if they ever want to compete with non-Koreans
Maru popularized defensive Terran style. It worked for the most part until Serral came into play. The meta also changed a few times after that and Mary's playstyle doesn't seem as effective anymore. Clem's playstyle seems to be more viable in this meta. And after exposing Serral's weakness with offensive Terran playstyle, I think more Terran players will try to adjust their game more. Serral has always been a greedy player by delaying ling speed and some times even lings. This is how he gets ahead and build his unstoppable momentum. Clem came into this tournament with extremely strong reaper micro, oftentimes punishing Serral by picking off a drone or two, or even denying his 3rd expansion a few times. Not to mention keeping the reaper alive and active for so long gives him good scouting information. I'm sure after this, more Terran players will practice their reaper micro. And Zerg players will have to adapt and go for earlier lings or ling speed.
@@skychaos87 You are not wrong, but he canceled/killed a lot of hatchery because Serral was sloppy (especially the one he killed 2 drones then canceled with 2 hellions...). He was on tilt from the beginning of this series and it showed. Also, I think Clem just made a great adaptation with his no-banshee build on 2 of those games. Basically, Serral tried 3 times his roach push, and it SUCKED 3 times (even the game against the banshee), its as if he was just wanting to prove himself this build was working or smth.
At this point, I think MaxPax is Clem's protoss account and he just plays Terran on his right hand and protoss with the left on all of those ESL finals.

Anyone have any idea what serral could have done differently here to win? In most games where serral dominates I feel like he wins because of strategy and not raw mechanical skill. Like in the 4-0 against dark, serral constantly knew that dark would counter attack and therefore deliberately massed units after his push failed. I can at least see a strategy that dark could have used to bring it back, or build orders he could use to win. But in this case I dont see what he could have done. He is the fastest zerg in the game except for reynor, the best spell caster usage, and he had units in all the right places for all of clems attacks. He tried rushes, late game, mid game and just got nothing done while Clem maintained a 2x cost efficiency. I don't want to say that terran is imba, but when a player is as fast as clem what strategy can a zerg possibly use to win?
I remember at Katowice when Serral beat Clem, he was attacking front on and using lots of nydus worms with lurkers on surrounding bases. Wondered why never really saw that today
You are spot on. Clem`s victory seem to be of pure mechanical origin. He`s actually playing not a strategy but some crazy fast shooter game. Easy, At the highest level of play (at Maru and Clem's level), Terran is the master/OP race if one can utilize all of the small advantages that Terran has. In the beginning, middle, and endgame, Terran can be OP compared to especially Zerg and Protoss.
For example:
- In the beginning, reapers can travel faster and can heal and can be even used for cheese. Widow mine can annihilate both air and land units easily with splash damage.
- Next, ravens and all air harrassment can be deployed. For the land units, only
- Terrans' missile turrets are the best in terms of scanning area and damage per second.
- Terran's tanks are the most profitable land units in the beginning to destroy buildings and units (splash)
- Terran's air units can standby and harrass as much as possible without any repercussions from other races in the beginning. Once the harrassment done, Terran can put pressure at all time until the end. - especially the medivac (heal) + marine (stimpack) + marauders (slow) - These combinations can annihilate anything
- Terran's miner is one of the most resource-gained/second - the mule
- Terran's ghosts are very OP. It can snipe, hide, emp, and nuke. With protection from other units, it's almost impossible to counter ghosts. The reason? other races need something to scan the hidden units and those scanners can be easily found by 'scan' and destroyed accordingly.
- Terran's buildings can attack and can be transported to any other area easily. Other races? Not so much.
- In the endgame, ghosts, unlimited scans, along with air superiority and land superiority can squash any other races with ease.
Terran is the hardest and most difficult and complex race to play, but also the most lucrative ones and the return of investment is the biggest. The variations are limitless with Terran, you can combine any units with ease, mostly with bio and mech. All the compositions, if you can really utilize them, are very OP. It can heal, repair, long-range, nuke anything, hidden units both air and land, and can counter any other race units. Not to mention the mule is one of the most profitable miners for terrans.
All in all Terran >>> Protoss >> Zerg.
8/0 vs Serral is ultimate achievement in Star Craft 2. No one ever reaches that in one tournament or two consecutive tournaments.
He looked flustered in all of his matches this turny to me. His play kept up though, just not perfect enough to beat out clem
True. Looks like clem is the anti serral. The "maru" we have been lookin for hehe.
Hahah take that you Serral fanboy. This was Soo satisfying to watch
He deserves it. All these years, Zerg is over balanced around him. Now, let him enjoy the pain like a normal zerg player on the ladder.
Well reynor despite his loss can be proud to be the only player who was able to take a map from Clem.
reynor is the only who can keep up with the speed of clem
But if you watch clem pressing his keyboard, it doesnt look like he was pressing too much or clicking too much, at the end of round 3 when he was microing both armies at the same time, youll see that he was not that pressing or clicking much
@@alucardlord4876He makes it look smooth and he's efficient and precise. But watch the screen at the same time and you'll see it's absolute hell.

Man... Clem was absolutely perfect.
Serral just got wrecked. You can see the pain in his eyes.
5:27 Now that usually never happens
24:24 Cute bane snipe
25:57 Pretty big mistake leaving at least 4 ghosts behind there
27:33 Nice scan. Was wondering how Clem knew - Serral moved it down into turret vision a few seconds earlier and Clem saw that.
27:55 Cute ghost save
28:12 Nice widow mine unburrow
36:02 Very cute reaper save
37:16, 37:26 Wow, I heard Serral had a fever? Anyway, very uncharacteristic for these things to happen to him
38:03 After seeing Maru just roll over and die to these timings, I'm surprised at how cleanly Clem held that.
40:45 Yeah, it's really not Serral's day today
41:20 Serral so tilted he cancelled the hatch accidentally after the first cancel
42:46 Very cute drone snipe
43:42 That's insane, I was preoccupied watching Clem defending, sieging/unsieging and counter pushing on the main screen and was shocked to see him also microing aggressively and sniping a viper on the other side of the map.
51:19 Finally, a drone not getting interrupted as it tries to morph into an expo. Must be a sign for Serral's comeback.
51:29 Artosis makes a good point that 2 of the games were roach timings and the third game had interrupted expos. But to be fair to Serral, he chose to do roach timings on maps with really good tank positions/short pushes
54:46 Am I tripping or did Serral accidentally cancel the hatch 2 times again?
55:30 Wow, starting hive at 6:34
1:00:11 Uncharacteristic of Clem - he didn't notice that his 2nd engineering bay wasn't researching +3 armor
1:01:45 Game looking a lot more like Serral's bread and butter. Creep covering half the map or more, burrowed infestor traps and taking the opponents bases as well
1:02:05 Massive catch by Serral there
1:02:50 Love to see theoretically correct play - mine the risky bases first while you still have map control
1:03:34 Signs of Clem slipping a bit after all the cute stuff above - he didn't kill that drone!
1:04:49 Love to see more theoretically correct play, put a nydus there so you have a retreat path for drones now that the sensor tower spots it
1:08:02 Feels like it's been ages since I've seen a cat and mouse game with ghosts trying to hunt down infestors to EMP
1:08:44 I'm not sure how to even read that engagement. Seemed like only 3-4 snipes actually went off
1:10:00 LMAO, Artosis is right, that doesn't make sense.
I just noticed that his cam has been frozen for a while now
1:27:56 Okay, that plus the parasitic bomb killing a full medivac in the earlier engagement helps make up for some of the mine shots
1:28:09 I'm so used to Serral splitting like a god vs mines that seeing mine shots like this and in the fight a few seconds from now confuse me
1:29:26 I don't think I ever see Serral accidentally select a drone into his main army
1:30:18 Omg, I thought Serral was about to have revenge for those 2 sniped vipers by fungalling that entire army. How on earth did Clem know to scan himself? Maybe he knew cause Serral was posturing to attack him and that only makes sense if an infestor was there? I would have looked at it and assumed Serral was just setting up a concave to defend his top base though...
1:30:56 Not every day you see Terran with a larger bank than the Zerg in a game like this
Me before I started the replay: "I don't know if I can stomach watching Serral stomp Terran in another final."
Me after it's over: "The bad man can't hurt you anymore!"

Lol, Serral can bleed, a lot! Got 8-0 from Clem.
Other top tier Terran will see what Clem did here and will replicate it. This is the end of Serral's dominance.

This is literally peak esports in every way.
What the hell have i just watch?! What a skill by the love of GOD!
I never seen someone make it so hard for Serral omg
Some things the commentators have missed in the fourth game:
-Clem established a stronghold in the middle with turrets and planetary as soon as it was clear that they would be go into the late game.

I've been following Clem's games during these series and I've noticed that he's several steps ahead for several reasons:
-He mainly focuses on attacking the opponent's economy, he doesn't seek out confrontations, his focus is always on killing works units, and this makes a lot of sense since army vs army, unless the opponent makes a mistake, there will usually be casualties on both sides.
Terran is so OP that, no matter how much you wound its economy, they can still kill you due to OP mules.
I totally agree with your point. If other top players figured out how to breakdown this pattern, they will find out that Clem should be a normal top player.
@@evelic Give me recall or creep over Mules
I mean Serral plays that same style. If you watched him vs Maru it was the same thing, Terran units controlled at that level are just better though. @@lingzaiyue I don't know if a normal player, Clem is still extraordinarily efficient in all facets.

Clem deserves 99 in speed, micro, attack and macro imo
Clem is the King of SC2, period. What an unimaginable win for him, showed his dominance in front of all the ppl around the world! 5-0 Serral just insane!!!
Lol, nice try, buttlicker
We have another gold médaille 🏅 with Clem 🇨🇵
Maaan, there's nothing quite like the Tastosis combo. Accept no substitutions!
They just have the best vibe together and are chill af after so many years casting sc2
No... they're terrible.
I am absolutely, sooooo happy Clem won!! I've been a huge fan and have been waiting for a day like this.
Clem went to korea for brain surgery.
This is so sooo much more than just a chess master solving puzzles. I say that as someone who is better at chess than I am at SC2, despite my efforts.
This was the perfect micro/macro balance achieved by a Terran throughout a whole tournament ever. HUGE respect to Clem as this was the most impressive SC2 performance that I have ever seen.
This Guy is crazy!!!! Really can't believe this. He is a machine
When you saw Serral helpless face it was as if he didnt understand what Clem was doing and how counter this monster who is in 3 place at the same time!. It is the Serral Terminator.
Serral went to military so serral gets beat no coincidence he loses all of a sudden to Clem and loses to Maru
@@AntonioLopez-kw3ev He won 0/13 against maru btw this is copium
@@loucahoornaert6013 facts got you delusional off that copium
Clem shocked the world with this performance in this tournament and made what most people believed to be the best StarCraft 2 player look helpless.
I guess going to Korea really leveled him up! That's is incredible
Playing against Serral did, Koreans are not the top dogs as both of them clearly showed in the entire tournament.
@@OnigoroshiZero very clearly yes!
I meant it expanded Clem's play style and grew his talents. Amazing games be played
@@OnigoroshiZero Korea is still the best SC2 country by a large margin, it just happens that the very top 2 players aren't Korean. It's like saying USA aren't best at basketball because Jokic isn't american, or Japan aren't the best at Sumo because their GOAT is Mongolian
@40:45 Artosis' laugh and then "yupp" xD xD Clem was savage on the drone snipes this game!
Finally it's not Serral winning another tournament!!! It's time like this that we need to see some new faces winning the finals instead of keep on having Serral dominate all the live tournaments!!!
It means 8:0 for Clem against Serral in this tournament, nice scalp. I seems that Clem elevated Terran to the next level.
This kid played perfectly. Amazing. I've never seen 5 near-flawless performances in a row.
Love how calm and confident Clem looks like.
Wow new GOAT CLEM, i nvr see serral get this destroyed before!
Wow watched Clem grow up and now hos the best, So happy for him
GOAT is such a throwaway term at this point
I think Serral is still the GOAT... But Clem is the GOAT SLAYER !!!
In France, we name Serral "le Dieu Empereur" (the God Emperor") but Clem is our Kratoss, a Godslayer !
Nice spoil ya cunt
@@rocobrasaure awesome
@@rocobrasaureSerral still is! One game doesn't change anything. Let's start talking about that title when Clem has the same number of tournament wins as Serral
At the highest level of play (at Maru and Clem's level), Terran is the master/OP race if one can utilize all of the small advantages that Terran has.
Finally it's not Serral winning the finals!!! No longer want to see Serral wininng over & over again in all tournaments!!! Bye Serral!!!
Clem and Raynor
Love that Tartosis got this one to crown the series! 🤩
Would have loved to see this in Katowice. Clem deserved that crowd. GG WP! You earned it!
He played so many incredible games, amazing performance. congrats to Clem.

Serral must be at military training telling the vets to ling run by, bane bust, corrosive bile the enemy … without a keyboard and mouse
Yeah, the strategy courses he got there these past months were less efficient than his own for this tournament.
Succeeding You, father.
Clem is insane 😮 did he even drop a game all tournament? We'll played. Sad for serral though, but still 2:nd and 150k $. Insane.. Gg 👀
He dropped 2 against Reynor

Crazy that maxpax goes toe to toe with Clem but skipped out on lan

@@Stoeff1987 he probably would have gotten around 35-50 5th-8th first lan
At this point, I think MaxPax is Clem's protoss account and he just plays Terran on his right hand and protoss with the left on all of those ESL finals.
@@Stoeff1987it’s very bizarre, one starts to wonder whether he has something to hide? I mean there are good reasons to stay out of the spotlight but when you’re in the top players in the world really feels like it would be worth it

SPOILER BLOCK! 📱
8-0 for Clem against Serral during this competition ... this is INSANE
I don't want to say that terran is imba, but when a player is as fast as clem what strategy can a zerg possibly use to win?
when you play perfectly, you win, simple.
@@motan7864 Ok what could serral have done to win then? How could his play be more perfect?
Did mutas get nerfed or something or why didn't serral use them to shut down the medivacs which were all over the place giving him grief.
Joona just before the final said he would be ok if he survives starting 6 minutes and then you see him struggling in the lategame, being literraly clueless - it`s painful to watch. Lets hope he won`t brake down and will get stronger.
