Thats the only balance issue id agree with, ghost do need more work but the problem is the late game is balance on top of the ghost if you kill the ghost then Terran has nothing for late game, mech whitout ghost is trash and bio is even more trash and air is just not it. It sucks that late game depends only on one unit which is only counter by lower tier cheap units or insane micro and spell casters traps.
@@unclefine This is indeed a problem. Nerf the ghost, then Terran have nothing on late game. How the balance team trapped themselves on this is a mistery.
ghost needs a snipe size nerf ive been saying it forever. The larger the unit the weaker the snipe should be. It makes sense vs casters. It doesnt make sense vs ultralisks. Same thing should be applied to the viper yanking motherships with abduct. Should take like 4 vipers to yoink a mothership or 3 for a carrier. Edit: I see alot of people saying what would happen if you nerfed the ghost to terran's late game. I think a small nerf like i proposed would adjust the role of the ghost considerably so its not built en masse like it is now for the snipe ability.
@@xv9021 it's reasonable, but if the ghost can't deal whit ultralisks, then what? And if the nerft doesn't change the interaction then is meaningless, maybe the cost efficiency? It's hard man
@@unclefine Early in sc2 idra tried to mass ultras against maru. Maru made marauders and thors and absolutely rofl stomped him, only for idra to cry "imba" over tournament game chat. This was so long ago Day9 was the one casting the replay before his fall from grace. Point being you have late game thors to deal with broods and ultras, and they are not as ubiquitous and cheap as ghosts.
Honestly, I think Starcraft would continue to be great with more intentional casting and explanation like Lowko was describing. From a spectator perspective, the mix of skirmish and big picture strategy keeps it intriguing - it can just be overwhelming if you don't play the game. Excellent work as ambassador for the game!
Hey Lowko, would you please show a little bit more of the Terran bases in future casts, specifically the main base? I ask because I like to see the exact switcherus between the barracks, factories and starports etc. . That way it's easier to copy build orders from the best players. Obviously you gotta show the shenanigans that are happening at the front but it in between there's quite some time, to show the structures setup of the players.
1:01:43 We have seen at the tournament, that Solar also tried this drone evacuation trick against I believe Maru. He didn't really escape with many drones, but he tried. Oh nvm Lowko is already on it! Gr8 stuff
Hopefully, when Serrals military service is over and he has again more time to practice, he can climb back to the top. After all what really hurt him here the most was that he couldnt keep up with Clems incredible speed. And to get there you need to train *a lot*
Serral completelly gave up with 8k minerals and 3k gas in the bank. He never looked so hopeless. I did believe he will reverse it though, but to lose 5:0, before lossing 3:0, all I have to say is congrats Clem!
It seems like nerfs of the zerg finally caught up with pro scene once we finally got a terran that is good with Micro and actually uses full Terran kit. Can't wait to see baneling nerfed again next patch
at this point i don't even play this game anymore, if there are not major terran nerfs or some of the years of zerg nerfs reversed in the next season, alongside a fair map pool, i will be just one of the 70% of zergs who have quit the game fully in the last 2 years and i will go play one of the other rts that do not seem to be balanced purely by members of one race.
In my mind its like "yeah SC2 came out like 5 years ago" and then Lowko "It's still fun to see that after 14 years of starcraft, a ton of people still join in to watch"
I have never experienced such trauma from watching my hero getting absolutely destroyed. It felt like watching god die, and I loved it. Is this how the swarm falls? Has blizzard finally succeeded in nerfing Zergral to the ground? God, I cried at the end, I love Serral
If Serral can be solely responsible for numerous Zerg nerfs, maybe it's Clem's turn. EDIT: to be clear, I mostly meant this as a joke since Lowko often has commented how Serral was responsible for multiple Zerg nerfs.
i don't think. The top 4 was composed of 2 zerg (Dark and Serral), one Terran (Clem) and one Protoss (Her0) It's was pretty even qualification. Clem and Serral are just 2 monster. And by the wat Retnnor was close to beat clem (3:2)
@@malekiththeeternityking5433 oh, that is nothing. Just wait and see finally the deserved nerf that terran need. 2:47 Journey before destination Ah, so your deep into the The Stormlight Archive. Yo Lowko, an enjoyable cast as always. I always find myself coming back to your videos because of your *ahem*... professionalism. Any chance you'll be getting into Age of Mythology Retold when it releases?
I think Serral was more aggressive in the mid game in this series because in the first series he played against Clem in this tournament he was cutting corners and droning more but it bit him in the ass because Clem was pushing hard as a result.
Clem went on from an average pro Terran player to become someone Serral actually struggles with! Never will I thought this day will come as I actually think Maru will take that from Serral back then. Well done Clem!
How he micros and hits banelings and snipes broodlords on 2 sides of the map simultaneously better than any Terran on a SINGLE front is literally advanced AI level play
Now Serral finally knows what it's like to play against Serral
I feel like Clem did a lot of preparation with playing in Korea and Serral is busy with military service so his training is probably limited.

Only time i remember. Has a new tag now. Ragnarok for a couple of premiere tournaments was known as yhe serral sniper. That stopped when basilisk picked up raynor and serral. No pro zerg in Europe would practice with him.
First off...kudos to Clem for a SUPER on-point series of Starcraft play! He was on fire that whole time! Really shows how the practice he's been putting in has paid off imo! I was actually really impressed that Serral was put on the back-foot so hard! I don't think I've seen a game or series where he struggled that badly. No doubts he still did what he could and he played very impressively. Lots of variables could be considered as to what affected overall gameplay...but...not my place, ultimately as a fan; I want to express a massive kudos to both Clem & Serral for an amazing set of games, congratulate Clem on the win and wish both players well! Thank you Lowko for casting this! I do really enjoy your channel and your casts! My life for Auir!
Ghost snipe nerf is long overdue. Its beyond ridiculous how hard it counters everything against all other races.
16k vs 36k, Lowko: Almost twice :D
in game 3...the way he kills the third base expansion drone...just waiting for Serral to get to it..after 3 attempts....GENIOUS
Damn! How is this even possible to be this good?
It's on the internet --
Just gotta learn how to maintain 800+ meaningful apm. Which is different than regular apm.
Magnificent games. Finally we get one more GOAT to be!!! Crazy stuff. GG Clem :)
I’ve seen the main cast in EWC for this match up but I went here to just hear another analysis of it. 🙌🏼 Lowko
And to get there you need to train *a lot*
oh come on LowMax, sure your an SC2 PaxPert :D
Serral completelly gave up with 8k minerals and 3k gas in the bank. He never looked so hopeless. I did believe he will reverse it though, but to lose 5:0, before lossing 3:0, all I have to say is congrats Clem!
He didn’t completely give up he ran out of larvae. Literally couldn’t do anything with the money
@@Pleasers I see. Good catch. So Clem kept him so bussy he could not concentrate on injects. Wow.
@@Pleasers which again is crazy. Pressuring Serral so hard he runs out of larvae is crazy
can you at least mark your comment as a massive fucking spoiler????
@@ErenisRanitos if you look at the comments of the videos you are subjecting yourself to spoilers. just dont look
I hope Bryan makes some special guest entrances in future casts!
Lovely Finals 😍
Clem played some of the best SC2 I've ever seen in this series.
Le niveau de Clem sur cette finale... impressionnant
Good game. They both played well with huge step up with clems game play. Thanks lowko
I love your work Lowko, thank you for everything you do for the SC2 scene. It wouldnt be the same without you.
the thing i like about bo9 is the dragonball aspect, where you can slowly build effort to surprise the oponent
Seeing Clem vs Serral is like THE games that you absolutly need to watch every time
It seems like nerfs of the zerg finally caught up with pro scene once we finally got a terran that is good with Micro and actually uses full Terran kit.
This was the third time I watched these finals all the way through. Just such an impressive performance that I can't get over it
I have never experienced such trauma from watching my hero getting absolutely destroyed. It felt like watching god die, and I loved it.
Is this how the swarm falls? Has blizzard finally succeeded in nerfing Zergral to the ground?
God, I cried at the end, I love Serral
@LowkoTV thank you Mr StarCraft Guy for not spoiling the match through the title and thumbnail like my other favorite sc2 UA-cam man 👍
If Serral isn't the general of the Finnish military than that is a massive missed opportunity!
World peace in 1 day
If Serral can be solely responsible for numerous Zerg nerfs, maybe it's Clem's turn.
You mean like the Widow Mine/Ghist/Cyclone and Lib nerfs this patch?
You mean like that?
@@malekiththeeternityking5433 oh, that is nothing. Just wait and see finally the deserved nerf that terran need. The cost efficency of MMM or ghosts are absurd...and Clem, just like Serral did, will be responsable to a lot of balance patch that will nerf this ( probably the first one will be mines, but we will see).
i hope they never actually did any of that. making balance changes around just one player would be the dumbest shit ever
@@TheFreezom89 You're an idiot
2:47 Journey before destination
Ah, so your deep into the The Stormlight Archive.
I started reading this when you brought it up in a cast a few months ago and it's one of my favorite book series of all time. Depending on how it ends, it might beat our Harry Potter, ASoIAF (NOT GoT), or maybe even TLoTR as my favorite book and series, but that's a tall order.
I JUST CLICKE DON UR CHANNEL TO SEE THE NEW CLEM VIDEO but found out u havent done one. I watched clem vs maxpax, finished it, NOW, 48 seconds later, u uploaded this, Thats synchronicity my friend. right place right timing. hahha
HOLY. I remember you had another series of Clem v Serral before where Clem ove4whelmed Serral.
Now he's done it again! Clem's THE big man now
It doesn't matter how many new RTS we will take, Starcraft 2 is always in our hearts thanks to these kind of battles. That's why we all love this game
Love ur vids
2:21
Lowko carefully navigating the
"not get roasted by Harstem" minefield his career is.
Thank you Lowko for the cast! Gz Clem!
this was the 1st tournament i've watched live and was hoping you'd be one of the casters for sc2 XD maybe in the future? can we petition that?!
14:06 I reckon this Serral guy is pretty good at the game too
Thanks lowko, waited not too long for this recap🎉
LowkoTV, cool video keep up the amazing content
Finally! Time to watch the finals! At...3:42 in the morning, while I should get some sleep. Ah, just one game...maybe two...
i've been cheering for clem since the start of the video... I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED
Incredible skill at display. Man i love this game
I'd love to hear from Lowko the story where larva come from.
Watched this live. Poor Seral. Looked so frustraded.
when the cheap af bane nukes don't do anything and you only use 1 backdoor infestor instead of two...well...lets just say the old op tricks are gone
@@cavemanteroest a dick, terran is op as fuck with mules, ghosts, planetaries, liberators
Well so much for the guessing board, it's insane how many people zeroing one another over and over again, that never happens in the ordinary sports
Lowko you are really the best! Bro, is it possible to make length of videos like this fakely large? )) maybe with just dark screen one hour add on at the end :d cause I really got very badly spoiled when score was 4:0 and only 5 minuts were left till the end of the video :d please think about it, you are creative guy and I'm sure u can invent smart solution here! huge thanks from Georgia
"He can smell Brenda from a mile away" - careful there, man 😅 You're on the edge of being mysogynic 😂
???????
@@Kazuhiro-i A joke. A bad one, but a joke nonetheless.
Seeing Serral dominated is insane, amazing game by clem.
The face cam of this match is rather insane. Serral lost it on the end of the match.
You are my starcraft expert :)
5-0 over serral is beyond nuts
The siege tank placement from Clem 10/10.
YES! I was hoping for this series! I'm excited!
Also, I called it, well I hoped, that the world cup would be a Bo9 instead of Bo7, due to the 9 maps.
This is indeed a world cup championship series, Thnx!
FIFA and COD at the same time as SC2? Interesting.......
I was not expecting that outcome! although, I did get kind of spoiled, that I now realize was a spoil to this series.
Suddenly Max being able to win against Clem is looking much more impressive
Clem winning feels so great, man i love how he plays so crack, i used to be a Protoss player and because of Clem im a diamond 3 Terran now, so im so hype I hope for him to keep his foot on the gas.
I have to clarify i hold a lot of respect for serral too, he is the goat and also made me try Zerg but im plat 3 😔 maybe if Max pax gets into off line tournaments id try Protoss again.
Seeing both their APM make my hand cramp. 😄
Uh been waiting for this one
Clem went on from an average pro Terran player to become someone Serral actually struggles with! Never will I thought this day will come as I actually think Maru will take that from Serral back then.
Well done Clem!
I can't believe what I just watched!
I didn't think it was possible to WR SC2 Bo9 serral%.
Perfect game of 5 matches.. amazing.
c'mon you are the Starcraft 2 Expert not the streaming expert :D
PS: 41:59 expert level of explaining marines XD
This was A LOT OF preparation!!! Still 8-0 is crazy
11:00 Team games are much harder to forfeit than solo ones, so sc2 vs fifa and cd makes sense.
Dota 2 is rarely forfeited until the very end too.
How he micros and hits banelings and snipes broodlords on 2 sides of the map simultaneously better than any Terran on a SINGLE front is literally advanced AI level play
*sniff sniff* Is that Brenda I smell approaching?
Sorry if your name is Brenda :)
very good u can analyze the whole game like professional and predict their move....genius
it is unbelievable how serral lost a match 5-0. this day will be remembered forever.
