It's not TERRAN that's op. It's GHOSTS (used properly by a pro vs Zerg/Protoss) that is OP AS FUCK. Clem just makes it looks even worse due to his ABSURD apm and ability to multitask like he has 8 hands on the keyboard. I mean lets be real Ghosts ARE STILL op as fuck in any hand vs zerg or protoss. Stripping all shields on protoss PLUS all/most energy on units/buildings for protoss and zerg units AS AN AOE no less + the ability to use Snipe on EVERY SINGLE zerg unit is absolutely absurd.
What an insane series. The entire thing so far has been crazy, but the top 4, oh boy. We got 2 4-0s in the semis, but they were completely different, with one having Serral making Dark look completely incapable of even dealing any kind of damage, and this one with so much action and twists. I feel bad for the Koreans, but Serral and Clem are way above them, and Clem is easily the best Terran, it's not even close. We got the finals we deserve guys, the 2 absolute best and unmatched that completely annihilated anyone else in the competition. It's going to be epic.
For those who still haven't seen the final result, i totally spoil the result in my comment ! The best part is that we could say that with his military service, Serral has lost level but on the contrary!!! Since he left, he's been rolling even more on Everyone (!!) except this rock, (what am I saying) this peninsula of skill that is Clem who is finally fulfilling the prophecy announced in 2021 (in "Desplancito song" =>"ua-cam.com/video/tsPmgNFCwPQ/v-deo.html")!
I think you can expect an increased reaction here when compared with other players. Clem very rarely loses his reaper, even while often dancing with death.
i watched this live and i was sure herO would win considering how his match vs Cure went, but it seemed like everything he did was stopped dead in it's tracks! when i saw Clem perfectly dodge those disruptor shots i was like "ohh no... how are we gonna stop that bio ball now!?" gg to Clem! insane micro!

1s loss of attention and total death of your army. Just macroing perfectly and doing multi pronged Attack or harrass meanwhile avoiding 8/9 constant disruptor balls is just incredible... You really see how fast Clem is microing his unit, its a masterpiece.
Disruptor is complete trash. Bad design, inefficient and clunky vs top level opponent. Not even pleasant to look as a spectator. Bin this please and bring back the reaver ;) However, superb match, Hero gave everything but Clem was the stronger player today :) What a performance by the french terran !!!
I think the main problem are the disruptors and the liberators. they kill the main part of the rts experience, that is the battles. with those units you just dont see people engaging, you just see them trying and then running ALL the time because you can't engage on a liberator zone neither on a disruption nova
Agreed, at least with the disruptor part. You can make a decision to fight in liberator zones if you're confident that you can target them down quickly. And you can retreat from a liberator zone that catches you off guard before you take too much damage. Liberators also add interesting flavor to air vs air battles where they're weak against things like void rays/corruptors/BCs/tempests but an absolute menace against masses of mutas/phoenix/interceptors. I actually really like the design of liberators and all the different ways they can be used. A disruptor on the other hand does either nothing or everything instantaneously. Most of the shots miss and then you run around with an expensive paperweight that does nothing until it's off cooldown. But then you have moments like 9:55 where it instantly evaporates 20 supply. It's the most "all or nothing" unit in SC2 and doesn't even have any upgrades that would make it more interesting. I also think the reaver was a much better-designed unit that filled the same role, but unfortunately we have what we have!
@@ClearAlera Reavers are almost worthless without a Shuttle, so for all the complaining you guys do about Disruptors being worthless, you would still lose because of your lack of micro skills with a Reaver/Prism.
Comments like these are indicative of people who don't know what they are watching. Disruptors are a key, valuable unit to have in these late games. The pros certainly don't have problems using them. Maybe you should just get better before you whine.
Would be cool if there was a 30+ or 35+ league for SC2. Would give pro sc2 players a bigger competition window and we could see some really good matches. Just a random thought.
terrans should really start doing hellion runbys to punish protoss with high base + probe counts. their main army is always getting bogged down by disruptors.
Stimmed marines are better for harassment & obsolete hellions. marines kill workers fast, can also kill bases, static, stalkers, shoot up and are way more cost efficient. Early game hellion drop can do ok but risky - easy for toss to scout and shut down, then u die to 4 gate blink as your tank production is delayed. U need 2-3 tanks to hold 4 gate blink.
Why would they make an un-upgraded unit to do the same thing that an upgraded unit can do? They also only have two Factories throughout the game. Why waste it on Hellions when you need to keep up WM production?
@@kommisar. hellions are fast and kills workers fine w/o upgrades (except blue fire). doesn't need medivacs so it's very cheap because you only lose minerals. same when protoss send mass zealots for counter attack. hellbats also defend better against these zealots. terrans always gets countered attack and their main army gets bogged down by disruptors. get ~12 of your supply into hellions then harass/defend with them instead and you can solve both.

Yes, they're faster than Marines, but most of the time you send Marines in a Medivac to kill off workers. Sending Hellions across the map makes them easier to spot/intercept. Plus, when you do this with Marines, you can save them with the Medivac. If your Hellions get caught, they are much easier to chase down. 4. Often workers are killed by the bio ball attacking a bass when the Protoss army is out of position, which kind of makes Hellions pointless in that regard. 5. There's no way 6 un-upgraded Hellions are going to defend against a counterattack, let alone a Disruptor. I don't know where you got this idea.

At the highest level of play (at Maru and Clem's level), Terran is the master/OP race if one can utilize all of the small advantages that Terran has. In the beginning, middle, and endgame, Terran can be OP compared to especially Zerg and Protoss. For example: - In the beginning, reapers can travel faster and can heal and can be even used for cheese. Widow mine can annihilate both air and land units easily with splash damage. - Next, ravens and all air harrassment can be deployed. For the land units, only - Terrans' missile turrets are the best in terms of scanning area and damage per second. - Terran's tanks are the most profitable land units in the beginning to destroy buildings and units (splash) - Terran's air units can standby and harrass as much as possible without any repercussions from other races in the beginning. Once the harrassment done, Terran can put pressure at all time until the end. - especially the medivac (heal) + marine (stimpack) + marauders (slow) - These combinations can annihilate anything - Terran's miner is one of the most resource-gained/second - the mule - Terran's ghosts are very OP. It can snipe, hide, emp, and nuke. With protection from other units, it's almost impossible to counter ghosts. The reason? other races need something to scan the hidden units and those scanners can be easily found by 'scan' and destroyed accordingly. - Terran's buildings can attack and can be transported to any other area easily. Other races? Not so much. - In the endgame, ghosts, unlimited scans, along with air superiority and land superiority can squash any other races with ease. Terran is the hardest and most difficult and complex race to play, but also the most lucrative ones and the return of investment is the biggest. The variations are limitless with Terran, you can combine any units with ease, mostly with bio and mech. All the compositions, if you can really utilize them, are very OP. It can heal, repair, long-range, nuke anything, hidden units both air and land, and can counter any other race units. Not to mention the mule is one of the most profitable miners for terrans. All in all Terran >>> Protoss >> Zerg.
A Protoss player hasn't won a championship since 2012. When will the competition become more competitive with all races at any time? its always Zerg and Terran taking out the whole lot.
people who said clem played better, let me tell you this. Microing MMMG is 1/10 the skill needed to micro stalkers,sentries, disruptors, speelots, inmmortals and collosus, warp prism + HT, etc. Protoss needs a buff to compensate for the high skill ceiling. Or lower the skill ceiling by replacing disruptors with reavers. This game is totally not balanced at the highest skill levels.

@@alucardlord9032 production on units is a breeze for Terran, only need to press a few keys, while microing during a battle. For toss the camera must be where they place gateway units, so juggling all the above micro plus changing cameras for unit production is a mess. Anyways, watching Serral and Clem 5-0 Her0, or close to it, second best Toss in the world says a lot about the state of the race…. Its not a consistent race, its full of spell casters, and binary units (inmortal 20 vs 50 dmg, disruptors 0 vs insane dmg, collosus, etc…) that requiere constant micro to perform decently.

It is clear that everyone has seen the tvp imbalance for 15 years, viking is a very oppressive unit, it kills the colossi very easily, the fight vs MMM is even with colossi but they don't even lower the life of the marauders but when the viking punishes the colossi it is over the fight of the toss, it is also a scanner that sees all over the map how easy it is to play terran cheap units they do not occupy sup they heal

Clems play isn’t really that creative. It’s really kind of boring, actually. always the same thing. He just has better unit control than most players. It’s not like he has a new insight into how Taron is played or develops specific strategies for different players and maps.

When MMM can be used every single time in a 4-0 against the best of the other race. Clem did NOTHING creative, he just piles on MMM. It's time to do it, finally time to nerf stim. 10% less move and attack speed, and 50% more health cost.
Spell casters are the issue You drop a fungal you deal immediate damage, can't be dodged, slows you down Emp deals immediate damage, can't be dodged Storm and nova both can be easily be dodged, nova only deals ground damage, so vikings/medivacs can do whatever they want

Hero also went 3-0 in matches and 7-1 in maps against the rest of the Terrans in this tournament, and even after getting stomped by Clem had an overall winning map and match score against terran, but yeah nothing he could do totally unwinnable because of race. Obviously.
Unbelievable that a player playing as poorly as hero, with terrible army control, with a huge accumulation of mistakes, could get this far in the tournament. carried so hard by disruptors.
He seemed to be little scared of Clem level. Usually, Clem is the one who stress a lot in offline tournament and do performance far from his true level. But since he won his 1st offline competition in last december he seems to have earned confidence. He lost is pokerface for the 1st time only at the end of the fourth game vs Serral in the final.
17 dps of 24 marine with 3 medivac cost (1200/0 + 300/300 = 1500/300) gona get 408 dps Vs 9.7 dps of 10 stalker cost (1250/500) gona get 97 dps 408 dps vs 97 dps, even a kid knows what "4 times higher" is. Tanks another stupid terran unit with only 150/125 deals aoe with 14 RANGE and notorious splash dmg with 35 DPS, has infinite missile speed, guarded by 408 dps marine. That brainded 14 range AOE is inviting anyone including a cat to engage them otherwise ur base is deleted. Look at Colossi 300/200, almost twice cost of siege tank, with 6 supply, RANGE ONLY 9, dps is 18, TWICE LOWER than tank. Colossi get shooted by both tank and viking, and stim marine travel speed almost twice, can catch any protoss unit. By the time you get 1 colossi, terran get 2 siege tanks. 18 dps vs 70 dps, 9 range vs 14 range. Every 1 COLOSSI terran got 2 SIEGE TANKS? Terran design is so imbalance Thats just 2 units there. Liberator, viking, marauder, ghost, raven, scans, mules, floating building, free supply depos already OP per cost

Disruptors are not fun to watch. Land a lucky strike or the bio ball kills you. It might be balanced (who knows?) but the interaction is dumb
Its not luck, it's micro management and micro of Clem split is only better (and sometimes beautiful, i trusted i was watching a ballet).

At the highest level of play (at Maru and Clem's level), Terran is the master/OP race if one can utilize all of the small advantages that Terran has. In the beginning, middle, and endgame, Terran can be OP compared to especially Zerg and Protoss.
For example:
- In the beginning, reapers can travel faster and can heal and can be even used for cheese. Widow mine can annihilate both air and land units easily with splash damage.
- Next, ravens and all air harrassment can be deployed. For the land units, only
- Terrans' missile turrets are the best in terms of scanning area and damage per second.
- Terran's tanks are the most profitable land units in the beginning to destroy buildings and units (splash)
- Terran's air units can standby and harrass as much as possible without any repercussions from other races in the beginning. Once the harrassment done, Terran can put pressure at all time until the end. - especially the medivac (heal) + marine (stimpack) + marauders (slow) - These combinations can annihilate anything
- Terran's miner is one of the most resource-gained/second - the mule
- Terran's ghosts are very OP. It can snipe, hide, emp, and nuke. With protection from other units, it's almost impossible to counter ghosts. The reason? other races need something to scan the hidden units and those scanners can be easily found by 'scan' and destroyed accordingly.
- Terran's buildings can attack and can be transported to any other area easily. Other races? Not so much.
- In the endgame, ghosts, unlimited scans, along with air superiority and land superiority can squash any other races with ease.
Terran is the hardest and most difficult and complex race to play, but also the most lucrative ones and the return of investment is the biggest. The variations are limitless with Terran, you can combine any units with ease, mostly with bio and mech. All the compositions, if you can really utilize them, are very OP. It can heal, repair, long-range, nuke anything, hidden units both air and land, and can counter any other race units. Not to mention the mule is one of the most profitable miners for terrans.
All in all Terran >>> Protoss >> Zerg.
Its terran >>>>>> zerg >> protoss

people who said clem played better, let me tell you this. Microing MMMG is 1/10 the skill needed to micro stalkers,sentries, disruptors, speelots, inmmortals and collosus, warp prism + HT, etc. Protoss needs a buff to compensate for the high skill ceiling. Or lower the skill ceiling by replacing disruptors with reavers. This game is totally not balanced at the highest skill levels.

@@alucardlord9032 production on units is a breeze for Terran, only need to press a few keys, while microing during a battle. For toss the camera must be where they place gateway units, so juggling all the above micro plus changing cameras for unit production is a mess. Anyways, watching Serral and Clem 5-0 Her0, or close to it, second best Toss in the world says a lot about the state of the race…. Its not a consistent race, its full of spell casters, and binary units (inmortal 20 vs 50 dmg, disruptors 0 vs insane dmg, collosus, etc…) that requiere constant micro to perform decently.

Clems play isn’t really that creative. It’s really kind of boring, actually. always the same thing.

And Clem was as much good he even bully Serral in all tournament. When the GOAT himself crush all terrans/toss he encounter but lost 8-0 vs this one, it would not be honest to say that Clem won because of his race. He was just far better (and herO did lot of little mistakes, maybe because of stress to be vs him).

Spell casters are the issue
You drop a fungal you deal immediate damage, can't be dodged, slows you down
Emp deals immediate damage, can't be dodged
Storm and nova both can be easily be dodged, nova only deals ground damage, so vikings/medivacs can do whatever they want

Hero also went 3-0 in matches and 7-1 in maps against the rest of the Terrans in this tournament, and even after getting stomped by Clem had an overall winning map and match score against terran, but yeah nothing he could do totally unwinnable because of race. Obviously.
Unbelievable that a player playing as poorly as hero, with terrible army control, with a huge accumulation of mistakes, could get this far in the tournament. carried so hard by disruptors.
He seemed to be little scared of Clem level. Usually, Clem is the one who stress a lot in offline tournament and do performance far from his true level.
But since he won his 1st offline competition in last december he seems to have earned confidence. He lost is pokerface for the 1st time only at the end of the fourth game vs Serral in the final.

17 dps of 24 marine with 3 medivac cost (1200/0 + 300/300 = 1500/300) gona get 408 dps
Vs
9.7 dps of 10 stalker cost (1250/500) gona get 97 dps
408 dps vs 97 dps, even a kid knows what "4 times higher" is.
Tanks another stupid terran unit with only 150/125 deals aoe with 14 RANGE and notorious splash dmg with 35 DPS, has infinite missile speed, guarded by 408 dps marine. That brainded 14 range AOE is inviting anyone including a cat to engage them otherwise ur base is deleted.
Look at Colossi 300/200, almost twice cost of siege tank, with 6 supply, RANGE ONLY 9, dps is 18, TWICE LOWER than tank. Colossi get shooted by both tank and viking, and stim marine travel speed almost twice, can catch any protoss unit. By the time you get 1 colossi, terran get 2 siege tanks. 18 dps vs 70 dps, 9 range vs 14 range.
Every 1 COLOSSI terran got 2 SIEGE TANKS?
