for real man. I have been to dozens and dozens of great shows and seen legends and no one fills the room with more electric energy as this man does. He truly is an artist who needs to be seen to be believed...even watching his live performances on TV or here on youtube doesn't even come close to the energy felt watching him live in-person
Rheinmeister09 Stanley is top dog live. Lucky to see him support the Stones in Hyde Park (2014) and then he joined them on stage for a few numbers. Just go see him. 🤘
Austin, Texas will forever be the birthplace of one of the most talented musicians/artists. Upsets me how people don't appreciate that old rock/soul/blues style of music anymore.
I know this is dumb, but this music makes me want to blast it out loud af from really good quality portable speakers while walking / cycling in town, 80s style... Just to share it.
this is far from dumb,...it's the idea that hopefully would make people think what kind of crap the majority of the world is listening to these days and forgetting that masterpieces like this exist

This man is is the whole package but the guitar he is an absolute amazing and at this time. The best. His songs all have depth. Watched an interview he did he’s absolutely amazing. The guitarist to beat and it isn’t even close is Gary Clarke Jr. PERIOD
I wen't to his concert a few days ago... jeesus christ, those who havent seen this guy play are truely missing out! Came out of the concert half deaf but it was worth it just to hear this music! Literaly hendrix reborn!
"Gonna know my name by the end of the night"... fitting seeing as I did after seeing him open for Clapton at Royal Albert Hall... Simply Fantastic, found more good music that night.
I logged on just to leave a comment. I love this tune, from the guitar tone to his voice. It just jams all around. This is proof that GREAT music is still alive. This is by far my favorite tune in a while.
Yep, I'm gonna know your name by the end of the night. One of those songs you just sit there after creating it, with a slight smile on your face, and telling yourself that's the jam right there.
A few years ago I saw this man open for the Foo Fighters and was blown away. I felt like I was watching a legend in the making. The talent is immeasurable. I hope one day to see him in concert again and I am bringing every person I can with me
Literally discovered Gary when he supported Dave Matthews Band in Melbourne a few years ago (5?). Never seen or heard of him, but he opened his mouth and absolutely blitzed the performance. Went out and got his album the same week. A huge talent. HEY you gonna know my name by the end of the night... 😉🔥
#GaryClarkJr Still killing it on his guitar 🎸. Talk to me brother. Your skill on that instrument is off the chain. Damn, you play that thang so beautifully. Make me wanna dance 😀🙋🎸🎺🎷🎹🎻🥁🪘🇨🇱🇺🇸
just saw him open for foo fighters in ATL, he is fantastic! old school music like Allman Bros, etc. no lip sync or pre programmed crap, pure rock and blues. looking forward to seeing again.
"You gonna know my name" I always hear hunger and drive when I listen to this guy. His music is so powerful. A real throwback to the oldschool Memphis blues.
I can't stop listening to him! The underground rock/blues world is a hard one to work your way up! And it's so wonderful to see such great talent finally getting the career he's been working for so long! I'm from NYC and I know so many talented artists who just need a shot!
Yes Sir!! They definitely know the name garyclarkjr. Baby if you don't, you better ask somebody. Oh he's a bad A** young bluesman from AUSTIN, TEXAS!!! TELL SOMEBODY THIS BOSS LADY SAID PULL UP SEAT . I BET YOU CANNOT HOLD SEAT IT GOING TO GET 🔥🔥🔥!!! GET ON UP!!!😍🤣🤣🤣🤣
Never once have I heard any of his music on any radio station in the US. Then again, I don't listen to a lot of radios. Virtually nobody I know has heard of him. Shame really.
The live version of this song has over 2 million views. Blues isn't very mainstream in the states. But since the grammys he should get a little more attention. Hopefully! Such talent!
I discovered Gary on the Audience network on DirecTv.....this dude has absolutely blown my mind!!! I don't listen to radio much either. Everything here (southern U.S.....Tennessee to be exact) is either country or that Juston Beiber BS!! This dude is 100% bad ass!!!
I'm glad to see folks enjoyin music like this again...seems like fer awhile there wasn't much to listen to..kinda on the line like ZZ Top..they're able to produce much better stuff these days..I'm 65 and I still turn it up loud...
I heard this song while eating lunch at Red Lobster with my family. Not my usual genre of music but,I immediately became obsessed with this song. I became a fan instantly!!
This is first time I heard this track and its beyond belief how great this guy is and I have never heard of him:( I am lucky someone recommended him to me. Some artists dont get the recognition they deserve.
The reason your just finding out about him is because his career is half that of black keys. Did the black keys blow up as big as gary clark jr by their first full length album? No. Did they get invited to Eric Claptons crossroad when still making their first ep? No black keys have done alot for blues rock but in double the time if not more of gary clark jr. Also I look at keys as more on the rock side of blues then gary clark jr who's more on the side of blues/r and b so comparing them is kind of pointless just like comparing any musicians for that matter
Music so good, even commercials want it! I discovered this song watching a Macy's commercial. Glad it isn't just a catchy jingle. This song ROCKS! Thumbs up!
This guy is awesome I read an interview with him in Guitar World magazine and he is the future of blues. Gary Clark Jr will be taking over the world before to long!!!!!
This is real music.. Not a beat made by a computer and saying words that have no relevancy once so ever.. This is what" music" is.. Sad this generation thinks little wayne is a musician.. He is a vocalist and writer at the most. Not hating on anyone just saying I personally have more respect for Gary Clark and musicians alike. I will buy his album to support REAL musicians.. Not a rapper who plays two keys on his electric guitar then also says he is not only the best musician, but an artist too.
Thank you Kings of Leon (who I follow on Facebook) for introducing me to this artist. Like the previous comment, haven't heard this type of music in quite some time. Don't even know how to classify it - Blue's/Soul/Folk/Light Rock - whatever it is, it's great. Thank you.

This guy is severely underrated. So much talent and skill into this craft.
+Nicholas Nevola Underrated?! Mick Jagger called him the saviour of the blues 10 years ago.
+Tolo Gueca underrated in the united states, my man
He really is talented!! How do we get him noticed?
+Nicholas Nevola agree this fella is amazing!
I totally agree 😋
This is the kind of music you just get lost in. This man is like this generation's Jimi Hendrix ❤
Lol. I just woke to my very young Grandson playing this. Someone has got to teach these kids what good music is! I'm so happy he understood.
Your grandson has a bright future. 😉
This song gets in your blood, i've been coming back to it for a few years now.
