Has chops on his guitar, has the voice. The band is kick ass. He is not giving apologies, he's ready to roll.
Appuyez sur un élément pour le coller dans le champ de texte.
Seen him at the History in Toronto(smaller venue) Rocked the place.....he's the real deal! 🤘
This guy here is a very underrated guitar player; it's a shame music like his is very rarely heard in the mainstream, you seem to have comb the internet for it.
Keep 'em coming Gary! Bring the blues to a whole new generation who sorely needs it!

Gary Clark Jr brought me here. Not a video game. Not a celebrity or a movie. Gary Clark Jr.
Listening to musicians like this provides hope that music still has soul and conviction. Dang. Love it.
Just what i think look up ganstagrass new and ready
If trying to play it ua-cam.com/video/kHo_5SV8aY0/v-deo.html recent upload.
From an old man that's seen some of the best, this guy is up there.
I concur!
Great complement.
No!! I heard it on my way out of prison after 20 years!! 😅
I see this guy all the time in Austin... even better live... saw him play w/ (RIP)Pinetop Perkins
Keeps to the roots. One of the few artists today who has soul.
I will dig this gritty sound as long as I can. Thank YOU.
My hearing gets worse, but my understanding grows stronger. I'm only 43, and I may be going deaf, but I will appreciate the songs and sounds that will take me into the future.
You are spoiled (and dumb) if you don't grab your chance to listen to a talented man.
Thank you Gary Clark Jr.
I hope you can still hear!!
@@Themadnesswithme86 what?
fun fact: *you heard this while you was beating 10 opponents in a race in nfs the run*
true
In a Shelby GT500 SuperSnake
Ngl. I only just heard this now when I was playing catfish blues on the guitar and this was in my reccomended lmao

ROCKA ROLLA..
the blues is strong with this one
He totally sounds like Dan from the Black Keys on this... Nothing wrong with people making the comparison.
Their music styles are similar, but clearly different flares. Gary Clark feels more old school blues, black keys (especially recently) are still very bluesy but doing more genre crossovers, almost pop on some songs. Love both artists. I listen to both on a daily basis. Clark's live shows are especially awesome.... Pop that on UA-cam and I'm good to work for an hour.
The blacks keys no longer sound bluesy. They have sold out to pop music.
Wobust No, they HAVEN'T!!!!! :] :] Just evolving more and more...! Every album is special and sounds different! We will never see another Thickfreakness or Magic Potion!! Plus, why would we want that..? A true fan knows that you don't want that.. Am I crazy or what!? lollz [:
Wobust it's not selling out if they enjoy the music they make, which they obviously do
What a rhythm, what great energies. What great music. Do more like that !!!
Never heard of this guy before. Glad that's no longer the case.
Welcome to the joy
Thanks JRE
blues had a baby and named it rock and roll

actionhanz mcpage: Later on Blues had another baby which wasn't right in the head and named it Disco. - Timothy McCaskey
@@timothymccaskey4362 The most underrated comment I've seen on UA-cam right here.
If I remember it correctly
"The Blues had a Bastard Child and She named it Rock and Roll", but I don't remember who said it...
my exceptional taste in music brought me here
Congratulations!
+hungrywolf56 thank you. i am honored
same.
Did your exception craving for approval and attention push you to telling us that too?
modesty is a virtue
What a brutal riff!!! Proud of our generation!!!
i like my blues dirty
JRE brought me here tbh
Gracias, Need For Speed: The Run.
Thanks, Need For Speed: The Run.
Pusiste literlamente lo mismo que yo XD

Sarcasm at it's best 👌💯✌️
saw this guy a Big day out in Aus and he was amazing, hadnt heard a single song of his before but i went to check him out, was totally blown away so sick live
Joe Rogan brought me here and I’m ashamed it took so long
That’s alright brother you’re here now and that’s all that matters.
Joe brought me here too.
Joe knows what's up. And exactly.. You're here now 🖤✌
Same here. Just saw him link this song on fb.
I found joe rogan after searching for interviews with Gary Clark jr
Need for Speed: the Run!
This is real music, I could listen for hours.
Let me give yall a little insider info on Gary. I grew up with him, he was first majorly influenced by Dr. Dre and the rise of Rap in the 90s.
It wasn't until his sophomore year of High School that he started becoming infatuated with the Blues.
The dude can do it all. Eventually he'll be producing his own albums without the constraints of Warner Bros holding him back.
Anybody that says anything negative about this guy is a big fat stinky hater. I know true talent when I hear it and Gary Clark Jr is my new love. LOVE LOVE LOVE. AND HE'S ON GMA!!
Joe Rogan brought me here
Heard his music for the first time today at Hardrock Cafe Pigeon Forge TN! Stopped what I was doing to write his name down. Def fan.
I swear when i first heard this song, i thought it was The Black Keys. Gary Clark Jr. is the shit
Late to the party, but sure glad I'm here. Go Gary!
Been waiting 40+ years for someone to make music like this young man!!! "SANG BROTHER...SANG!"
Where ya been? Under an effing rock?
I am just now discovering this brilliant soul. He’ll make ya feel it!
FILTHY ASF!!!! LOVE IT.
he ment to write AF.
The Big Come Up is just amazing...
Excellent tone it’s just an excellent song tons of feeling!!! His version at crossroads was Awesome
Rogan brought me here, glad I checked it out.
Back to the blues
Back to the real soul
Hope Gary Clark keps moving on to even greater things
He´s got what it takes
Gary Clark Jr. is the new Lighting Boy. Long live the blues!!!
NFS The Run!!!
omg I just can't get enough of Gary Clark Jr!!!
People's lack of knowledge on blue rock is unbelievable. Not every blues rock song is from the Black Keys. Blues rock has been around long before the members of the black keys were conceived. Please, educate yourself. This song on the hand kicks serious ass!!!
Danm right.
Thank god this black guy decided to play actual music
If Black Keys and Jimmi Hendrix had a child, it would be this gentleman
yes!
I hear the black keys, I don't hear hendrix
@@mfb5642 just a black dude with a rock n roll guitar
@@mfb5642 The riff at 1:43 reminds me of Hendrix and if you listen to 'If Trouble was Money' I can hear an influence there
you misspelled jHyMMy Hyndurykz
It's ok to love rap but if you can't appreciate Gary, you have been dumbed down.
Black people invented Rock&Roll.
+gabi wilson black people had very much influence on blues, witch influenced rock.
+gabi wilson does it really matter who invented it (not being racial here TRUST me)
+jason cormier No, it doesn't matter.I just wonder why black kids, can't appreciate the music their forefathers invented.😏💕
tushay haha (very wrong spelling)
Completely agree with you Gabi. Elvis stole his sounds from the late great ROCK Gods. Cadillac records is one of my favorite movies an I LOVE that era of music an all my respect goes to those that never got the recognition they damn well deserved. elvis does NOT deserve the title he stole.
Don't get me wrong, I love The Black Keys, but Gary Clark Jr. is better. His blues make me happy as a child and I just wanna freakin dance!
the drummer blows my mind excellent beutiful song man keep them blues alive
Need some Blues after being dumped after 9 years, at least my best friend lucked out in that exchange. Damn, I'll never forget this Pandemic for so many reasons.
F the best friend if they got with your honey . Sucks but most are usually better off so. To hell with em
I pray you have better days. Karma is a bitch. They will get theirs. Blessings.
Stay strong brother. It's just a bad cloud over your head. It will pass. 🙏
Are you sAying your girl left you for your buddy or you and homeboy can chill together more now since you no longer have a girlfriend? If it’s the latter of the 2 I can’t stand those snake ass dudes but if said girlfriend was super hot I might high five him in at a fucked up angle or something. Little does he know she is the proud owner of herpes simplex 2.3 and 1/2
gary clark and jj johnson EPIC
Those guys in my opinion are the best musicians of our time and im 13. we need more of this.
Thanks Joe !
You dude are something my ears diggin!! Classified under BADASS MUSIC.. Johnny's a beast skin machine and your band set bars much higher worldwide.
Need For Speed The Run!!!!!
Gary has provided the perfect red pill song. And when women ask me why I am this way, I explain it's the bright light and big city. Bwahahahahaha
I want to be like that when I'm 42...I decided it would be a "long term new years resolution." Art waits for no one, it's always changing.
Like if you came from JRE⭐️
Impressive guitar player , nice voice , for me and at this moment , one of the best !!!
This guy knocks me out. Love what he does. Hey Michael G., Best of luck with your hearing. I deal with tinnitus, and it can be a real hassle, sometimes. Hang in there, man!!!
The 'saviour of the blues' indeed. Its about time somebody decent came along , the product of hard work and passion id imagine.. .. A musician to make the likes of ol' howln wolf, proud. .. Good sh*t man, rock on!
You're the man, Gary. Keep on rockin'
This got me a ticket for speeding
Joe rogan?
Freaking amazing, that Mr. Clark revives the roots of blues music!
I saw Gary Clark Jr. at MSG when he opened for Clapton in march of 2017 didn't really know who he was back then . He was really good and all with jimmy vaughn also opening for EC but I want to see him live headlining. And he has grown So much just in the last few years. I saw Jimmy and Lou Ann with Pinetop Perkins at Antones I think around 05 and there was a young man who got up and joined in . Not sure if it was gary or not ( I know pay attention MF'er) but this kid sounded just like Jimmy Reed it was a great show and I was Thankful I was able to see Pinetop before he passed.
I think NFS the run has got your clip
Outstanding! My favorite of his! Familiar but the new spin! Absolutely love it!
Gary is underrated. He hits a groove every time he picks up his guitar
The best thing I have going for me at 42 is I still like new music. distortion with tight lyrics I like it a lot. Indie with an attitude.
he black keys had a baby, they named it gary clark jr. good shit
Jack! You have to get to Las Vegas in the top 150th!
WHAT?! Speak Up!
las Vegas...top 150
or we're out
ohhh thats the good shit!!! yeaahh
The best tune I've heard from any artist in a long time.
Love your music, Gary. Keep it coming, man. I can't get enough
god this is so good
Holy Shit. This is too good to exist.
Black keys, white keys who cares! it's nice to be hearing some genuinely creative music coming out with that "blues" feel to it. Sure beats the usual manufactured music
Just a amazing song writer and his music is brilliant love it 😍 selina 🎶🌹❤️
Need For speed: The Run
Mussion: Beat 10 Rivals!
csi ny brought me here... This Song is incredible. Wow. My first blues freak out.
Saw him tonight in Houston. This young man can fuckin' play.
I was never a fan of this type of music but damn this is a good song I remember playing NFS The Run the night it released and this song was on one of the races and damn I was like this song is good
Sorry, I just have to chime in here - I cannot believe the ignorant race comments given in this thread. Some of the comments are appropriate - i.e. why don't more people hear about great black artists like Gary Clark, Jr.? - but since when did exceptional music have a color at all? This isn't about ethnicity, it is about marvelous talent and sound which speaks to your soul. Those of you who choose to focus on race, either positively or negatively, are completely missing the point.
Word
Jerry Horton seems like you're the one focusing on Race.... that's the problem with this issue people find somewhere to talk about it anyway they can when they need to just let it die
#GARYCLARKJR. #DONTOWEYOUATHANG Speak Gary! Speak!!!😄👍👍👍👍👍👍👍💙💝❤️💚💛💖💜🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🎸🎹🥁🎻🪘🇨🇱
First music in 15 years i've paid for (in itunes).... must of connected.
Its good to hear this sort of stuff,he puts so much into each song thats what i like about him,the band works well together too, hope he keeps going! :)
The future
Is ours!
eise101 ...since when?
Since we have to live it.. And we don't owe "them" a thing. (I think I thought that way, long ago)
I am a black key fan well as a Gary Clark Jr fan as of today just discovered him today wasn't much into new rock n roll before I found the keys
its about time someone like the black keys came along
Reminds me of The Black Keys - vocals in particular
Awesome job ! love the Black Keys sound as well
It's nice to hear people say that. People were fighting on another Gary Clark Jr video over who are the best. It's hardly about that. It's possible to be 'and' not 'or. I just saw the Black Keys in concert this week and I'm a huge fan of both . Can you imagine being front row at a joint concert?!
Raw! Pure! How could you not appreciate this? Gary Rocks!!
nfs the run
He wears that hat to keep his hair from catching Fire!! That was smokin'!!!
Right.
That could make the dead dance. What a feel.
I love love this. Just discovered this talented artist today due to his Grammy award. Sweet...
