Thank you for this video. I'm going to mention it to my chiropractor tomorrow morning at my appointment. I've had moderate to severe tibial atrophy on my right leg for many years and slight atrophy of my right hamstring and inner quadriceps muscles. I have a very "off" feeling in my lower right side of my back, right at the belt line. I finally Googled tibialis anterior atrophy due to lumbar issues and found that my problem can be directly caused by L5 issues. This led me to your video. I'm really hoping that this will shine a light on what needs to be done to help me in getting better. Thanks again for the great instructional video.
I've had a bad lower back since 1989. I suffered with it until 1997, when my wife finally succeeded in convincing me, go to a chiropractor. He had to stretch it out on the table, pull it loose, then aggressively adjust both sides using gonstead technique, 3x weekly visits. after 2 weeks, then 2x weekly. after 2 more weeks, then 1x weekly. at end of 6 weeks, 90% of stability/lifting strength returned. but it has continued to go back out over time, requiring 2x-3x visits every 1-2 years. what I noticed is, older chiropractors aren't as eager to do gonstead adjustment, due to its difficulty. it's work. in the past 5 years, I found myself leaving the office without the adjustment. they got LAZY. or they're leaving meat on table. so...I found how to adjust it myself- by laying on floor on my back, putting a small block of Styrofoam between my pelvis against floor, and raising my legs and knees into my chest. the weight of my body, forces the block upwards, pushing the bottom of spine towards anterior. instant pain relief, it goes back in.
I do really like your explanation. It's convinced! My way is: Let the patient lie on his side (then the other side) My left hand hold steadily the patient shoulder top (which is supposed to pull backward to my position); my right hand locate just at the "edge" and above of the spine L5 (which is supposed to push forward). Before i do the adjustment, i use my both hands spontaneously to slightly pull back and push forward at the 2 positions at the same time so that the patient will gradually release his body, Then Action.
How can I find out if the local chiropractors in my area know about this topic. I have a grade 1 L5 spondylosis that I'm getting PT for but there are times it feels like it just "wants" an adjustment. Not sure its ready for that or even appropriate but just wanted the knowledge if /when the time comes. Thanks
@@AdamJStoryDC I'm sorry I wasn't more clear. I was referring to finding out if a chiropractor is using the Gonstead technique . I'm aware of the L5 spondylosis frequency but I was just wondering also if that negates having an adjustment.

Was treated again and it now doesn't feel the same. When my first treatment plan was going so well. I started playing football again. Felt fantastic and strong. I need an adjustment...was born with this, one of my vertebrate on lower part didn't grow certain thing that easily make my vertebrate slip around. Every once in awhile i have spasms cuz of that
This was interesting. For about 3 years now it feels as if the right side of my L4/L5 are glued together while the left side has full range of motion. I've done everything I know to try and self adjust it (I know, that's bad of me) and I can always get the left side to adjust (like standing with my hands on a horizontal surface and raising myself up to separate them and even laying on my side and twisting); but the right side just doesn't seem to want to give in.

Hi Doctor, do you have any recommendations to adjust super flexible patients? I can not find the tension (its not only L5, its all side posture adjustments) and this frustrates me because I know I can give better results to my patients
Speed and finesse. Don't take it to tension. If they're flexible, taking it to tension will bother their rib cage. The trick is to get the adjustment to happen at the joint you want and not others (which is common when you first start out). You get better at it over time. Try to think about gentling persuading the joint to move rather than smashing it and you'll get it with practice.
Go to Playlists on my channel. There's a section that has examples of treatment. It's also on my website. www.camarillochiro.com I have tons of examples for you to watch
Adam J. Story, DC, I, as an osteopath ( here in Canada the osteopath profession is very different of that one in USA ) I argue that you must position the patient on the table so L5 is already in his restriction position within all the parameters. ( flexion /extension, rotation l/r and side bending l/r )
That's exactly what we're doing. There should be videos of that. i.e. If it's restricted in it's motion of flexion and right lateral bending, you adjust them to improve that motion.
No. It is not. Chiropractic can help. We see international patients and patients from other states in the USA. The reason why is because we are close to Los Angeles International airport and we have the Camarillo Outlets stores. Many patients travel from China, Japan, Western Europe, etc. These stores are known for their shopping and people travel from all over the world to come here. Here’s the link: www.premiumoutlets.com/outlet/camarillo/about. Simply fly to LAX and you can see me for chiropractic care and shop at the Outlets. The best hotel is the Hampton Inn because it is across the street from the Outlets and it’s on Las Posas Road which is a mile from my office. Here is their website: hamptoninn3.hilton.com/en/hotels/california/hampton-inn-and-suites-camarillo-OXNHSHX/index.html. Our phone number can be found on my website: www.camarillochiro.com. Lastly, if you view my UA-cam channel, there is an area called “Playlists” where you can find sections on blood pressure, core strengthening, cycling tourism, etc.
You can't "fix" sacralization no more than you can fix "green eyes." It's not what you need fixed. Something else is often causing the symptoms. Review the core training in the PLAYLIST section of my channel.

You explain things very thoroughly but it would be easier if you could also doing the procedure with a patient on the table would be much better then a skeleton in your hand I will show the procedure with the skeleton first then I would do the procedure with the actual person on the table this is my suggestion
Is a bias causing you misinterpret this mentoring video? The point here is that adjusting the L5 in a posterior direction is difficult until this maneuver is mastered, not that it can not be adjusted at all. This maneuver is more efficient and effective, but takes time to master.
I want good chiropractic but like getting a haircut you just don’t know how talented the chiropractor is. I’ve wasted so much money getting the basic adjustment or little adjustment. I gave up.
are you telling me this 5 min. video will help me as a patient to treat my own low back problem? your are dead wrong. first of, any one who searches on internet about any particular issue is the one who suffers from it in first place. So, having said that, it is waste of time for me to learn the treatment and getting into the detail. second, I am not gonna have any one to fix my back by just watching 5 min. youtube video and having it tested on my body. the only reason I have clicked on this one is to see if there is any exercises are shown. obviously there is not any. And I have wasted the 5 min.
I believe this is an explanation of how to make the particular adjustments more effective. He either assumes the provider has a strong back ground or will do the additional research to learn more about the tech. For you, I believe you will be most satisfied by letting an AMA Board certified Doctor do all the surgery you desire on your back. I am sure you will be very happy with the results.

Is it necessary to go for spine surgery for treating the bulge and Nerve pain
No. It is not. Chiropractic can help. We see international patients and patients
from other states in the USA. The reason why is because we are close to Los
Angeles International airport and we have the Camarillo Outlets stores. Many
patients travel from China, Japan, Western Europe, etc. These stores are known
for their shopping and people travel from all over the world to come here.
Here’s the link: www.premiumoutlets.com/outlet/camarillo/about. Simply fly to LAX and you can see me for chiropractic care and shop at the Outlets. The best hotel is the Hampton Inn because it is across the
street from the Outlets and it’s on Las Posas Road which is a mile from my
office. Here is their website: hamptoninn3.hilton.com/en/hotels/california/hampton-inn-and-suites-camarillo-OXNHSHX/index.html. Our phone number can be found on my website: www.camarillochiro.com. Lastly, if you view my UA-cam channel, there is an area called
“Playlists” where you can find sections on blood pressure, core strengthening,
cycling tourism, etc.
Doc i have problem in my L4 L5 please explain what happened if im getting surgery this is safe to me
Why not try Chiropractic first? If it doesn't help, then you can always have surgery.
I have my L5 sacralized,is it possible to cure it just by exercising?
You can't "fix" sacralization no more than you can fix "green eyes." It's not what you need fixed. Something else is often causing the symptoms. Review the core training in the PLAYLIST section of my channel.
@@rodjs08 Opo,base po yun nung nag pa lumbosacral xray ako,na yung L5 ko daw is naka sacralized.
Tapos pag naglalakad ako tumutunog yun,Parang yung joint is nagkikiskisan
@@rodjs08 Sir salamat sir.

Sir ma daughter jst one week befre vesible her sacralization l5 .sir she in martial art game since last 12 years doctor has advised tht she should leave her game.she wnt continue her teakwondo game her age is jst 18
How can I do this by myself?
You can't. It's like watching a UA-cam video about a dentist talking through what it takes to fill a cavity and asking "How can I do that myself?"
I had horrible pain sence I was adjusted two weeks ago
How are you now, Gwen?
Wish I could be your student.
The problem is not the spine....the problem is that his patient needs a much better diet. Much much too thin.
My L 5 is out of place. Can a chiropractor adjust it? Please show this video with an actual person.
Go to PLAYLISTS to see examples of L5 adjustments
This is genius
The chiropractor herniated my bulging disc. Now, my knees and hips are killing me. My l5 is unstable. I am afraid to let anyone touch me. I initially went to the chiropractor for migrains. My spine is a mess and I still have migraines! Can you help? I am in Houston Texas.
Probably not. You're saying you went in with the complaints of migraine headaches and he herniated your L5 disc?
You explain things very thoroughly but it would be easier if you could also doing the procedure with a patient on the table would be much better then a skeleton in your hand I will show the procedure with the skeleton first then I would do the procedure with the actual person on the table this is my suggestion
Chapeau
Hi dr have you got an email address i can contact you on? I have xray and MRI images i want to show you?
You can find it on my website. FYI: There is a fee for remote consultations, because they take just as long as in-office ones
thanks
You're welcome!
Where’s your office? I need to get my one of my vertebrates to get put back in place
www.camarillochiro.com to make an appointment
I like video for you .
0:04 lmao he's experimenting on people's spines. Luckily he made mistakes on the other people's back
Is a bias causing you misinterpret this mentoring video? The point here is that adjusting the L5 in a posterior direction is difficult until this maneuver is mastered, not that it can not be adjusted at all. This maneuver is more efficient and effective, but takes time to master.
I want good chiropractic but like getting a haircut you just don’t know how talented the chiropractor is. I’ve wasted so much money getting the basic adjustment or little adjustment. I gave up.
Sorry to hear that
Update..Pain came back..so am thinking this this was just a 'Temporary 'Adjustment..This pain will 'Never go Away 😐
Actually it can go away. Too high of expectations will always ruin therapy.
@@AdamJStoryDC Thanks for the positive encouragement.
The patient was literally a car teetering off the table? How the hell did they transform into a car?
Haven’t seen the movie then ? 😀
pls give your email!
www.camarillochiro.com
wrong email address!
That's my website with all the information you need. There's a "contact us" page.
adjust me😍
Why dont you demonstrate it on a patient ?
I have on multiple videos. Look for them.
are you telling me this 5 min. video will help me as a patient to treat my own low back problem? your are dead wrong. first of, any one who searches on internet about any particular issue is the one who suffers from it in first place.
This video wasn't for you. It was for Doctors of Chiropractic. You wasted 5 minutes of your own time
I believe this is an explanation of how to make the particular adjustments more effective. He either assumes the provider has a strong back ground or will do the additional research to learn more about the tech. For you, I believe you will be most satisfied by letting an AMA Board certified Doctor do all the surgery you desire on your back. I am sure you will be very happy with the results.
