Much love to this woman June - what she has and is still going through I can't imagine how tough that is. Pistorious has served no time, he murdered her - he killed her and he should suffer severe consequences. It won't bring her back but justice is so important, and there hasn't been any. 9 years is nothing!

Sadly we will never know what really happened. One can never understand why you wouldn't call out for your partner if you suspect there's a "dangerous person" in the house. I suspect it was a case of "you can't leave me and if I can't have you then no one can".

This is the truth. There was no burglar, Oscar killed Reeva in cold blood because she was sick of his controlling behaviour and rejected him up front like the strong woman she was, she was not afraid to speak her mind but Oscar couldn’t handle rejection like a man and so he threw a big temper tantrum like a child. It doesn’t take a genius to work out that her bags were packed neatly ready to leave the next day. If I were in Oscar’s shoes, I would’ve taken the rejection like a man, lead her outside and send her on her merry way and that would be the end of it. But no, Oscar being the unhinged unstable individual that he is decided to act in the most evil and unspeakable manner. I hope that June has found peace after having lost 2 family members and that she will one day see them again and be reunited in the other world.

I believe Oscar and the courts did too. It's also untrue that he has never apologized. He did on numerous occasions but they wouldn't accept his apology, which is their prerogative but don't come and say now he did not apologize. He also NEVER changed his story about what happened that night.

Thank-you. As I have posted separately, I chatted with Oscar for a few minutes the day after his birthday (which I thik is in November) in 2012. During the very short conversation he told me he lives with a lot of fear and made mention of sinister forces that were connected with or co-operated with the South African police.

I totally agree with you. If she was so afraid of him amidst a bad argument, why did she not run down the stairs and drive away, he still had to put on his blades. He said right from the beginning that he'd shot her, that he was sorry. Her mother says her stuff was packed up ready to leave, so why sleep with him when it's over. I just wonder how many women used Oscar for financial reasons, for getting media coverage and living a celeb life and as soon someone with legs and more influential came along it was time to move on. She never makes a fuss about how they lived off their daughter financially and how Oscar supported them financially afterwards. She just complained that they now have no money since their daughter died. How much pressure was on rieta to find a rich man to take care of her so that she could take care of her parents. Her daughter's death brought her fame and she travelled all over the world and never warned other parents to not make it your children's responsibility to take care of you financially. Now she throws it out there that she's looking for a job, so that someone will offer her a job. All of her interviews are all about me me me. I never heard her say that she has remorse for making her daughter financially responsible for them. She does have other children who could also help take care of them. I think she wanted to punish Oscar for the guilt she feels.

Its heartbreaking but we will never know what really happened. I feel sorry for her because she is on her own now. Sincerest sympathy to mrs. Steenkamp. But in South Africa there were many stories going around that they got paid for all the interviews they did. That last little remark about being 77 and having to find a job really was like woe is me. Feel sorry for me. ?

As much as I do sympathize with the Steenkamp family and I genuinely do they have said some strange things. I am South African and we got to see a bit more of this than the rest of the world and on a number of occasions they mention money and how thier daughters death has effected them financially.
Reeva was thier meal ticket believe me it wasn't just once that they mentioned it.
It is time for this woman to move on because it's been years now and this is not healthy for her, just accept that this has happened and get on with life, I'm not cold hearted because I am sure any shrink will probably tell her the same.

This woman needs to stop doing interviews and start to heal. She should also go and live in England, she obviously has a problem with the country she lives in. Interviewers should do some research. There are so many false narratives in this interview. If June is Christian and that's the God she is talking about, there would be no interviews like this one if God has helped you.

I was listening to a podcast from the Irish independent called the indo daily. John carlin wrote a seminal book called chasing the shadow. I have not read. What carlin said and his conclusion was that while he definitely killed her. It was not deliberate. The prosecution pushed that case. But the judge tore that up. And throug that out. Its why he got done for manslaughter carlin spent a huge amount of time on the story. Interviewed Oscar pistorias himself. And carlin also stated that pistorias was a gun nut. And who hung very shady groups. Sa moral decay started with Jacob Zuma and under him it became a very lawless place. Pistorias might have thought that he and reeva had protection in a lawless south Africa but that was not true and nobody could protect him from the law when it caught up with him. Nothing excuses what he did. He went to prison for 4 years.

@@markdaly1648 There is also a very good analysis by a British barrister who felt the court's ultimate verdict was wrong (too harsh on Oscar).
What I can tell you from personal experience is that Oscar lived in fear. He told me (a stranger) this during a brief chat at gym the day after his birthday in 2012.
