@@SpikeFastingRacingFat is not the problem. Good fat is healthy for you. That would be butter, ghee (clarified butter), beef tallow, olive oil, avocado oil, coconut oil, lard, and fat naturally found in animal proteins especially fish and other sea foods (because they are high in omega-3s).

I still eat three large meals per day probably averaging 2500 calories or so yet the weight just started melting off. I have gone from 250 lbs to 172 lbs and have now held steady at that weight for the last few months while still eating this way and the funniest thing is that im never hungry. i saw a cardiologist because of chest pains.
it's funny. I remember going to the gas station to get a bag of lays chips after just having visited the doctor, only to experience more chest pains.
I would ask myself why, not knowing that it was as simple as diet and exercise.
After going strictly meat and fruit. and using butter/ghee, almost with a daily 40 minute run with some weight training, It's safe to say the chest pains are SIGNIFICANTLY reduced, I'd even say they're fully gone. In addition, my anxiety levels have GREATLY decreased.

This iso hd46 oil is rapeseed oil that is less refined and smells foul, it is used because the hydro fluid has to be biodegradable incase it leaks. So just think food made with or cooked in hydraulic fluid. I always cook with animal fats, tallow and ghee. The cheap steaks I buy at my local grocery store that I cook myself in butter or tallow taste vastly better than the steaks at restaurants and high end brazilian steak house buffets. I’m very sad my wife and I travel the US in our RV and loved Cracker Barrel as we could stay in the parking lot over night and go in and order the “meat breakfast” they used to carry on the menu as my carnivore meal. they’ve switched the menu now it’s all carbs with tons of seed oil, high fructose corn syrup, GMO flower and loaded with sugar. They no longer have meat on the menu! The fried chicken is cooked in corn oil, the pot pies are all gross sauce God knows what’s in it and carb sides.

However, now that I eat better, it never happens anymore. I think maybe it was processed foods and seed oils that my body couldn’t take. It sucked, but no one around me thought it was a big deal. Animal based diet is my favorite diet but I do have one issue. My issue with the animal based diet is actually how much antioxidant activity there is and how that affects training.
You don’t want antioxidants/anti-inflammatory compounds after training because it offsets that naturally inflammatory process post training which signals to your body to go through hypertrophy among other things.
So, eating honey and a ton of fruit within 4 hrs after training is absolutely negating what you want out of your training. It’s one of the reasons i’m considering just doing meat/yogurt post training. Or even adding back in white rice post training.
EDIT: Tried white rice, felt horrible. Gonna just eat a ton of plain yogurt post training. Hope the best to all of you.

something iffy seems to happen too when you mix seed oils with processed sugar like HFCS.. people often refer to the star wars cue in '77, "why were the so thin?", but seed oils were prevelent back then aswell. and then when processed food companies switched from the sugar to HFCS between 78-82, america obese went up even further. i do not know what is going on there, also something iffy is going on with genes.

    • @erikahuxley

I answered someone previously who asked what about AGEs in the context of eating carb. Insulin resistance, high blood sugar, and lipid peroxidation (pufa), these causes higher production of AGEs. It happens through the activation of aldose reductase pathway, and aldose reductase is an important enzyme to protect against aldehydes, which is a byproduct of vegetable oils. So it makes sense that AGEs is increased with the consumption of refined sugary foods that also has pufa in the ingredient, especially if the individual eating probably is obese or insulin resistance.
I do think there is something wrong with hfcs but I haven't been able to find a study to pinpoint the exact thing. But it likely is during the refining process, also consider that it come from gmo corn which get sprayed with glyphosate which is damaging to gut health.
While it is true they had vegetable oil back then, we can conclude it's even more prevalent in processed foods today and there are much more factors that assaults the gut microbiome. The oxidation, various harmful compounds created from pufa (OXLAMs), and other related antimetabolic mechanism damages the gut microbes. I used to think microbes are important but until now I didn't realize just how important they are, particularly the beneficial anaerobic ones that resides in the colon.

I don't deny your science about seed oils, contrary. But... there is a but. Back in the 70s and 80s in communist Romania I remember the only oil we had for cooking was sunflower oil. It wasn't so refined like today because I remember it being a bit cloudy. We were frying salami, potatoes, meat, veggies... frying in sunflower oil was very popular. But nobody was obese! I remember one person obese, only one! I am not exaggerating. I look now at pictures from that time taken from the seaside, there are many videos on UA-cam as well.. Nobody was fat or obese! And we liked our food quite fat. We liked lard on toast, fatty sausages, jellied pork, stuffed cabbage rolls with added smoked bacon, etc... but we also liked sauerkraut, cucumbers in brine, red peppers in vinegar. Maybe the combination of pickles and those oil fried foods were doing the magic. After 1990 when "capitalism" came to Romania, people started to get fatter and fatter, now fast food and processed foods are the main enemy as we know. We didn't have these "civilized" foods before. I give you the freedom to conclude, I just came with a bit of history to try to understand why we are all poisoning ourselves and the cause of it. I almost forgot... we were also snacking a lot on sunflower seeds. Roasted and salted ;-)
