She reached out to me today after me asking what she was doing with her days off from work. Talked a little bit about it, and then when I asked her how she felt about something she's planning to do (see a counselor; she's always been very hesitant to do so. I'm starting my own counseling as well), she stopped responding. Now that the rebound is off work, she's silent again. Going to see if she'll talk more again while he's working tomorrow. It feels like she's definitely got #4 going on, possibly #5. She's completely different when he's around, and not in a positive way. Subdued, short sentences, increased modesty, and never talks about him in any kind of good way. Rebound is probably doomed anyway; he's already said he's not ready to deal with the stresses in her life and they had a massive argument less than a week into the relationship.
Mine hasn’t moved his stuff out of the garage after 6 months and comes around to do favors for me but then is really mean to me and complains about doing them lol it’s confusing asf I just laugh now

Is there a reason why my ex would tell me everything we do is just as friends, even if we don’t act just as friends? Like for example, he’s very touchy with me and often play fights with me. The honeymoon stage has passed. Normally, your ex may have seen some issues in the relationship or differences between the two of you. What you can do is to assess what could have gone wrong. What have you contributed to the breakup and address those.
My ex has told me he don’t want to text me cuz he don’t want to hurt me no more. He’s told me he wants to see me but he needs to be strong for himself. Hi Clay- does this count if you and said ex are currently still living together? I ended things because I felt like my needs weren’t being met. He wants to continue acting like a relationship until I move out- cuddling, kissing, sleeping in the same bed etc. He even asks to come along on errands, what I’m doing with my day, how long I’ll be gone/ when I’ll be back and if I miss him/ will miss him. It was a very push/ pull dynamic and I felt like I was doing all the bending, and that he didn’t have follow through on the changes required to make our relationship better. At first he said he still wanted to be together and make things work, but now he said he has no effort left to give (and has started acting as described above) his behavior is completely puzzling me. I said if he wanted to be together I would only do so if we seek counseling but he has no interest which is also why I walked away.

There is a difference between being “in love” and being friends...this advice confuses the two. I want to be friends with my ex but I don’t want him to try to ever kiss me again... I have a boyfriend for that!

Hi Brendan, That's the thing with social media. many people put too much meaning on social media activities instead of looking into what's going on behind the status and pictures. Focus on building positive interactions with her and not just on her social media posts and updates. :-)

My x , who I broke up with due to his being unable to stay faithful on FB . blocked me on his FB then about a week later I got a friend request from his step mom... This after I would not respond to his texts. My advice would be for you to unfriend or block anyone on your social list that are more connected to your x than they are to you .

It seems like she still has resentment and may need some time to work on her healing. It doesn't mean you are emotionally ready, she will feel the same as well. Just give her time time to work on her emotions.
Hi Adam, It depends. You have to set boundaries between sex and having a true connection. At times, people can sleep together without having a full commitment. This is where healthy boundaries should come in.
A month a go we met, at her house. Got my stuff, she says keep your moms Christmas stuff here...Weird. We talked for 2.5 hrs, half hour of that she talked about the break up. Heading out she asked how I felt about the talk, said it went well, maybe we should talk more often The Hail Mary on my part. I also said, maybe we could go to dinner when this virus is done. She said that would be nice, hopefully it ends soon. Her: Sad eyes and body language, she went for a hug, backed off. That was fine considering the virus situation. Since then I texted her once. I told her the conversation was nice and we should talk again. She texted back, yes I see more conversations in the future. She has not made a move ever of texting first. since then. Well my ex a few days ago went on my Twitter account liking my Twitter posts. He didn't talk to me he didn't follow me he just was lurking on my page. Blocking me unblocking blocking me blocking me again. Secretly looking at my page. This after I would not respond to his texts. My advice would be for you to unfriend or block anyone on your social list that are more connected to your x than they are to you .

Hey, even after more than 6 months after our breakup my ex still gets angry at me whenever I tried to contact her even though she says she has moved on she won't talk to me becoz she says I make her feel guilty and stuff . And also she posts old pics of her of the time when we were in relationship, no new pics and anything btw we are connected on insta but don't talk.. What does that mean..?
It seems like she still has resentment and may need some time to work on her healing. It doesn't mean you are emotionally ready, she will feel the same as well. Just give her time time to work on her emotions.

I would say that this is an ex in a rebound relationship. But the question is, have you asked yourself if this is the guy you want to spend your future with?
