That's because music these days is baseless and has a lack of knowledgeable theory behind it. Listen to classical music and compare modern guitar work and you'll hear a lot of the same concepts.

Watching him is honestly like learning a foreign language by watching TV, I just pick up a couple concepts at a time and move on when it’s too hard to understand. I have an intuitive understanding f music theory but he goes so freaking in-depth.

Rick has tons of long videos that goes into detail about what he's showing, do check them out if you're curious. The shorts are just snippets or tips for people already having a decent understanding of the concepts
