The gym leader music is just amazing, makes you really feel in a crowded stadium

The cheersss in Paldea are absssolutely PATHETIC. You can’t replicate the P E R F E C T I O N of the Galar Gym Theme cheering.
They used the UK as an inspiration. Soccer is a big thing. Galar is big on battles. It's genious
Hop's final theme always had me blown away. I also don't remember Charman Rose's theme going in so hard because of how forgettable he is lmao, I beat him so fast.

The character maybe forgettable (not that much since he is important for Bede devolvement). But c'mon his battle theme is unavoidable. Once you hear it first time how can you forget it?
The difficulty this game had... was a completely joke. However, the OST beats so hard anytime I listen to any track. I enjoyed SW/SH but I expected more. At least it went better with Scarlet/Violet (at least for me) although there are some aspects to improve for the next generation.

Gen 8 music went way harder than it needed to be. I'm replaying Shield now that I beat Scarlet and it's honestly shocking how much I love it. In my memory the music is what made the generation, but I honestly like the game itself a decent amount, too. I love the character customization and the gym challenge a lot. Also, that gym leader theme is SO GOOD
I played SwSh in the spring and summer of last year after getting back into Pokémon. After playing through and generally being disappointed by SV, I am considering trying to complete the Pokédex for the first time in SwSh. If only the online was not full of scammers.

The slumbering wield theme is just beautiful, with the howls in the back since the legends are wolves and that's where you first encounter them

I've always been a fan of Hop and Leon's designs, dynamics, and music. They really made these games what they are based on these two alone, and I will always love them for it.

Honestly, and this is my incredibly hot take, SwSh's soundtrack was kinda like British cuisine. Gets the job done, but not really spicy. Don't get me wrong, when it slaps, it slaps, but there are a handful of themes that I can say I love. Hop's Final Battle, Leon's Battle Theme, Pier's theme, Eternatus phase 3, the end credits, and maybe the Tournament finals theme and Slumbering Wield, but other than that... I'm not really too fond. Even Bede's theme doesn't do it for me. Maybe it's because of his character, I don't know.

There's nothing quite like that gym leader theme.
I'm not that big of a fan of Gen 8 music besides a couple tracks but I can see how important it was for what eventually became the behemoth that Gen 9 music is, like the cheers and melodic voices and a lot of other tricks that weren't as common for Pokemon games but are the core of what makes Gen 9 music so awesome.
Say what you want about the games, but you can't deny.
