Anthony i had a 1025r first, the reason I got rid of that tractor was i ran over a stub tree that was sticking up,when I backed up it ripped off the hydraulic filter underneath the tractor and broke it off the tractor the damage cost me 2,300.00 the tractor only had 3.5 hours on it, so i asked the dealer if they had a better solution for the problem they said that the 2025r had double the ground height, so I bought it very happy with the taller tractor
Have a 2018 1023 with 70hrs. Great tractor but it definitely needs a little more ground clearance. Going to talk to my JD dealer about a trade foe the 2025. I believe it would perfectly meet my needs after seeing this video. Thanks!
I would probably stay with John Deere. They’re dependable,, engineered to work and hold value. What kind of/ size implements do you use/need? You should talk to a dealer about your needs and let them recommend.
Just came across your video Anthony and liked it. I have a 1025r and liked the comparison using the 2025r. Just wondering if you had thought of maybe doing a comparison between a 1025r and 2032r/2038r or even a open station 3 series. Thanks for an informative video.
Agree taller tire adds ground clearance, but would it also give some more turning torque with increased radius from the center of the hub to the edge of the tire? Not sure about my terminology.
Thanks, Mr. Allen. I'm torn between 1025 and 2025. I've sat on a 1025, but haven't yet seen a 2025. The 2025 ;looks like it has a little more room in the operators space?
JD 2025R generation one is a better tractor compared to the generation two. The "upgrade" just downsized attachments to a less capable 1025R version. For example, 270A backhoe, with 7' digging depth, is replaced with 260B, with 6' digging depth. The front end loader is downgraded from H130 to R120, etc. Separatable left/right breaks are lost during "upgrade" too... I found myself a 2014 generation one 2025R, and wouldn't even consider replacing it with a brand new generation two.
@ruslankadylak2999 That question was from 2021. ;) Not long after writing that I ended up picking up a '21 2025R - FEL, 3rd fnctn, grapple, ballast box, box blade & a few other attachments. I did not purchase the backhoe - a decision I've had reason to questioned three times so far. Otherwise, so far couldn't be happier. It's done everything I've asked of it. My only "complaint" is the 2wd/4wd lever - you have the option to replace, where I don't. ;)
Those were some nice comparisons for me to use in my decision. Do you know why the cylinder rods on the loader are not chrome? I noticed they are on the backhoe. Thanks!
How are the loader arms shorter? The 1025r and 2025r both had/ have the 120r loader. The only difference is the 2025r has a bigger hydraulic pump. Not making an argument against what u said but stating what I know
Thanks for this video, especially the lift portion. One thing…not my business, but I’d like you to be around to make cool videos for a long time. A little bit of effort to lose some weight will make a huge difference in many areas of your life. Ask me how I know :)

A turning radius test would be great to see.

Great video. Thanks!
Thanks for the video. I'm looking at these two right now.

To be honest, I dont think a comparison to the large frame 2 series or 3 series is needed. They are all much more tractor than the 1025R
One of the better comparisons I’ve seen. Thanks
So if you don't buy a 1023e you might as well go ahead and buy 2025r?
I got myself one of the John Deere 2025r tractors it's my first tractor

The operations stations are very similar. No noticeable difference

Thanks for a useful comparison!
Great comparison. The audio could be better.
Very good now I want a 2025r

They have a different coating than chrome. I can’t remember what is is but we are told it is harder and better than a chrome coating
dude aswame topics
Sr. Anthony, Cuanto vale $$ cada tractor 1025r, 2025r??
Sr. Anthony, how much is a tractor??
Love the videos but please invest in a microphone.
I swear I can hear waves in the background like a beach is in the background.
I agree, but I think it's the wind.
Most likely, I live on an island and the water is 400 feet away
Slightly bigger pump + slightly shorter loader arms = the difference

@@wraith3951 I think TTWT covered it. 2025r is taller, same loader would lift higher. I think they lift to same height. Could be wrong
@@MJF40 I think the height is portrayed as being higher but I think that is because the 2025r sits higher due to taller wheels. Could be wrong though
@@wraith3951 looked again 1025r loader mounts higher
Look at John Deere sticker on hood while they both lift.
Not sure if you’ve mentioned it but do they have the exact same motor?
From my understanding, it is the same engine tuned up very lightly.
Since both have the same loader, same horse power etc why would the 2025 have more lift power?
It’s a bit longer, and I think the pumps have a slight more power.
Slightly Bigger pump on 2025r
Thanks for this video, especially the lift portion.
