Very nice comparison video. Your honesty goes a long way. I am now considering the 38r. A 25r would suit me fine but you do make some good points. Also I like the draw bar that comes on the 38r. The lift heights are another good point. I know a lot of people say the split brakes are useless, I use mine on my garden tractor quite a bit. It really comes in handy when back blading and your front tires aren't getting much traction. Anyway you have provided good information. Thanks.
👍 Good comparo 😀. My 2025r has been enough for me. Once Tim went 2038r I wanted one. Didn’t need it, but wanted it. Fun fact there is one thing the 1025r/2025r can do more. 260B has higher boom lift capacity 😎
I like your video. I’m thinking of buying my first small tractor at age 73. I’m looking at the 1025R, 2025R and 2038R. I need to mow my lawn, around my small pond and other areas on my small farm. @@ElkCreekAcres thanks. A coworker has a 2032 he just bought and is encouraging me to get it. I’m going to look hard at the 2025R. I believe they it would be a better fit for my needs. Will I need weights for the back to use the loader? Would a box blade be enough?
Dealer did not mention muffler particulate filter replacement/clean out etc. Usually last three to five years before you may have to replace these filters. You also have two oxygen sensors (before and after psi sensors on that muffler) Time will tell. Good luck with the 38 hp ! FYI
My 3 series is like this, and goes in and out hard sometimes. I saw a teardown, and the engagement is NOT much to get it going, like 1/3 of an inch gear overlap. So I go easy on the lever, maybe move the tractor if needed.
Great comparison. Do you have a similar vid. of your 1023 vs. 2025R? As much as I want a 2038R, it's not overly practical for my small property. I do plan on doing work for hire w/whatever I get but it may be mostly small lots where a 1025R or 2025R would be more suitable.
No I didn't do a video on the 1023 vs 2025. At the time I made that trade I was really just getting into the UA-cam thing. Hi I have a 2038r, which we love. We just sold an old 755, and replaced it with a 2025, for my wife. She loves it. It feels like an "old friend" after missing the 755! I just noticed that the red tail lights on the 2025 come on when the tractor is running. They do not on the 2038. I'm curious if you have noticed the same, since you also have both models. Thanks very much Tim
Now you're going to make me look LOL. I can't say that I remember noticing the taillights on the 2025 unless the lights were on, which is how it is on the 2038, only on when the lights are on. I know that for sure with my 2038, just not remembering if that's how it was on the 2025.
I would say it depends on your needs. If you’re doing everything you need to with the 1 series but would like more ground clearance and slightly better hydraulics then the 2025 is a nice tractor. If maneuverability is not an issue then go for the 2032 and you’ll never regret it.
@@danielsharon524 There's quite a difference. It's all progression, the 1 series will turn on a dime compared to my 2038R and the 2025R fell right in between.
@@ElkCreekAcres Thx. Kinda what I figured. For me the 2025R was a great tractor, it mowed like a champ with the 60D MMM. I did not get the MMM on the 2038R for two reasons. 1.
