    Good Dad. Stays at the back, chaperoning his family instead of riding off the front. Cycling is for all and a family ride is for fun, especially in Hong Kong. Nice video.

      The cancer of the grand tours is attacking whatever good is left in cycling... All these half headed morons these days (excepting the racers themselves) with no skill and brain trying to "be pro"... It's a most terrible circus that I hate god damned bad. Those f***ers need their bike taken for a day and two hard punches in the face.

    Oh stuff the helmet police. You just summed up why I love riding: friends/family, fun, frolic and who gives 2 hoots about the weather. Will, I've admired your life focus for a long time. BTW Bromptons rock.

      Les Crook I used to work as a doctor in an accident and emergency department, even small falls can ruin lives without helmets. Even when wearing a helmet, I’ve been in hospital this week with a head injury having been hit by a car. Take the piss out the “helmet police” all you want, let’s hope you never need one. Agreed Bromptons rock.

      been riding my Brommie for more than 4 years and around 24.000kms never wearing a helmet. ... until Aug 13th..21 stitches in my head on a very low speed crash (car suddenly cut my lane) and luckly enough no dodgy stuff to my head...
      I'm not into the "helmet police" thing as I consider that a very personal moment of realization
      But it's not until I crashed that I realized you could hurt you so bad without a helmet even a super slow speed (my leg banged on the car and didn't have a single bruise nor a scratch) and my brommie was just fine..
      And the good thing is that wearing a helmet will essentially get rid of a LOT of these potential dangers..
      Just by wearing one..
      For me, now that I truly know, it'll be always helmet on :)
      and yes Bromptons rock (a lot)

      @@fredackrill So can driving a car without a helmet. Far more motorists suffer head injuries than cyclists. Helmets should be made compulsory for motorists, and their passengers.

    nice video , i so need one in scotland for so may reasons , i would jump on a black edition H6L with an electric kit in black lacquer in a second , i need to get my pennies saved and try and hunt one down as they are almost impossible to find, (typical) ,also wish there was a throttle option as an accessory with more paint finishes on the electric which would have opened up a whole new world as not having been on a bike for at least 15 years would have ment getting even more use out of it for work and pleasure while making it so much more enjoyable , less time on buses ect and more time on the brompton which is the way it should be, hope brompton dont sit still for too long tho as the world moves fast, time waits for no one or nothing (history should have tought us that by now with plenty of extinct British brands that failed to keep up with the times regardless of reason) but hopefully bromptons will continue to improve and at a faster rate than they currently are (come on r+d folks get yourselves into 2nd gear at least, been stuck in 1st gear since 2010 , 4 years later in 2014 a few new colors then some minor updates in 2017 such as under-bar shifters and new handle bar and stem dimensions changes and a few others in 2018 like new brakes along with new colors including the lovely black lacquer well done on whoever came up with that , that looks amazing ) but really hope they start to make large steps forward and soon ,lots of work to be done , ie reducing the 4 to 6 weeks waiting times , better support and options for electric bikes such as thumb throttle control option , spare batteries including different sizes , more paint finishes on the electric , lighter weight across the board on all bromptons and fixing the niggles like spinning hinges ect ect , theres a big list and lots of work to do so fingers crossed they hurry up and start making steps to head in the right direction , i hope Will reads this and takes it as positive constructive criticism i would love nothing more than to see nothing but even greater success for this awesome British brand , products just needs a bit more work and then market the crap out of them, not to sell more bikes which will happen anyway but to get more people cycling especially with the electric version finally available albiet without any scope for customizing the electric version to work with more people and preferences at over £2700 with only 2 color options , with a bit of support from the cluster fuck of a government we have hear in the UK (not holding my breath to expect anything from those idiots as they live on/with our money on a different planet from the rest of us ) i think if any bike in the world can get the masses on two wheels and revolutionize personal transport its the great British Brompton and thats a beautiful thing . ps sorry for the rant , im kinda taken with Bromton and what and who they are and what Will and his team are trying to achieve , i wish them all the success in there goals

      Their pretty pricey already, if they did that it would approach the cost of a ti racing bike, and the performance would make their steel's leaden to ride in comparison.

    • @horsenuts1831

      Because cycling should be 'normal', rather than a 'sport' requiring specialist safety equipment. If you go to Holland or Denmark, nobody wears a helmet. Similarly, they wear ordinary clothes and not lycra.
      Do you wear a helmet when you walk? You probably should - you can never be too careful. What if you fall over and get concussed?

    Safety Helmets? Really? People that is your Problem? The Question should be, why do they all have a Lightweight (Titanium) Brompton? The CEO should do his homework first, before going on a family tour. Problem is no Titanium bikes here in Europe. (and the Shops cant really tell you why) THX CEO

      Do you drive with a helmet on?

    • @olivert.7192
      @olivert.7192 5 років тому +1

      I only ride my bike with a helmet. Call me a dork, but one crash is all it takes to send me into hospital, and maybe never make it out...
      I need my brain to think, a £50 street helmet is worth the cash, especially when you spend so much money to own a Brompton.

    • @Mikolaj_u
      @Mikolaj_u 5 років тому +4

      No I wouldn't call a dork. I respect people I converse with.
      Next to neck injury, head injury and brain trauma are most common types of injuries suffered by drivers and passengers in car crashes. And yet no one wears a helmet while driving. Go figure
      I simply don't understand why commute or light leisure cycling must involve wearing a helmet.

    • @olivert.7192
      @olivert.7192 5 років тому

      Ah I see what you mean. I guess the difference with a car is that there is a crumple zone. But on a bike, you are the crumple zone. Of course, cars drive at far higher speeds and also it just takes one crash to send me to hospital but I guess I'm way less likely to hit my head in a car crash than on a bike.

    • @Mikolaj_u
      @Mikolaj_u 5 років тому +1

      I guess so. But if you suffer a head injury in car crash (and statistics say you are likely to) they will be quite catastrophic considering the forces involved. And you will almost certainly suffer neck and/or spine injury. Bicycle crashes usually end with few scratches and some bruises. I fell off my bike recently while doing around 15mph. Ended up with bruised chest and stubbed toe.
