The salesman gave a very comprehensive method of folding and unfolding the bike. Good job to him.

I disagree. The additional strap is not needed and there are a lot of parts at that bike that are not original.
One of the best Brompton folding and stowing videos I have seen. Discussed several details most miss. Great sales rep.
Brompton is awesome, but I prefer Tiramisù milk shake custard, trust me man
This video is outstanding. I have watched 3 other folding/carrying videos and this one delivered 4 new details no one else has. Thanks much. MJ
That was a brilliant demonstration. Much more informative than the official Brompton folding instruction video. 👍
You will see that the guy is really passionate and knows the hell out of the product. :) Very informative.
Thank you for taking us along when you collected your new Brompton from the dealership.
The instructor was very thorough in his demonstration and explanation, and he clearly takes a professional approach to guiding and advising customers to ensure that they get the best start to Brompton ownership and riding.
Did he say rusty
Will a quality like Brompton rust ?
Or
Is it a lower quality cheaper version
I liked all features though
What's this model
And
Price
?
This is the best explanation of the folding and unfolding I've seen! Thank you salesman!
Fantastic video Jamie. Thanks for taking the time.
Best explanation of the folding I’ve seen.
Wow, I learned things no one else told me. Second gear to freewheel the pedals, huh?
I find that I ride lot more since I got my Brompton because it goes anywhere, and carries whatever I need with a bag that fits the front carrier. And it is a delight to ride--sometimes I even look for hills to climb now, rather than avoiding them like I did with my old, heavier, bulkier folding bike. I hope you enjoy yours too.
"Second gear to "freewheel" ?" Where did THAT idea come from?
It is nonsense. All 6 gears freewheel FREELY, and the bike can be safely folded in ANY gear.
You have to ask yourself, where does that kind of bullsh*t come from?
However, the "unfold the pedal first" advice is good.
the salesman there is very great! I went there to check out their mini pro and all the products there are awesome!
This is the best bromoton tutorial i have seen, you should change the title to be able to reach others looking for a brompton great tutorial.. great sales representative!
Thanks! Will revise the title:)
I agree, laying it down, the different style pedals, understanding that the seat post being not all the way pushed-in keeps a bike from being locked... I have been binging everything Brompton for the last week after finding out about them while shopping for compact bikes. This demonstrator was very thorough
Clear and very detailed educational video. The care and safety tips dispensed will not only be helpful to Brompton owners but also to other similar, 1:1 Brompton like trifold bikes. Good job on this video and keep it up!
The bike shop guy is so helpful! He covered things that other Brompton videos don't, so thanks!
Yes indeed, very helpful :)
Absolutely the best Brompton walk-through I've seen.
i also using folding bike to work, Brompton is really Amazing !God Bless & More Power !
Good broadcast. Ive had 3 Bromptons over 20 years. Best bike ever invented. They always sell for more than you pay for it. Best wishrs Dave.
Best colour and Ti very nice nothing wrong with the older models congrates mate
I must say Tommy is a great advertisement for first class service. Thanks for providing a really interesting video.👍
.....i am highly impressed with this sales guy's customer handling and product detailing skills,....
Excellent advice on folding unfolding 🙏🙏😇😇
Great video, thanks for sharing! Amazing stuff in Brompton sg.
Amazing, when I brought mine I wasn't shown as good as well as this.
I’m in the market for a Brompton - and this was such a useful video - first class service! 👍 Thanks for posting (and to the knowledgeable sales staff ) 😀.
I love my Brompton. My local supermarket is 0.86 mlles away, (to be precise)! So it’s perfect for doing the shopping and leaving the car at home.
Very informative. Thank you sir. Hope to have one someday. My dream folding bike. More power and ride safe.
I am over weight I have lost 40 lbs over the last year My goal weight is 140 lbs when I reach that goal I will buy a Brompton wish me success
Wishing you all the success mate!
@domifab101 for real. Those things are super strong. I see 300 pound truckers riding them at rest stops to get a little exercise in. It's great fun.
Me WATCHIN this comment on my third slice of pizza 🍕 🍕🍕😂🤣💩🤪
Have you bought a brompton yet ? 🚴♀️
I ordered a Brompton bike that is coming to my mail by the end of the month. This video was very useful because when I will receive the bike, I won't have any salesman explaining me what to do or what to not do. Thank you!
Hi Emmy, do you order direct from UK?
I'm looking at doing the same thing.
@@Lisawuhy123 from my country's brompton junction store. Unfortunately due to covid I have to wait a little longer as there has been some delays
From where did you order? Which model and price?
@@sameeracee I answered above.. I got mine from a Brompton Junction store..
Very Very Nice vídeo , and Very well explenacion , Thanks Very much 👍👍😊
Picked up the 2019 H6R 6 speed in metallic purple. Luv it 💕
Yummy. Mine's pale blue, but no rack.
great sales guy! detailed explanations
Well explaining of the unfold of Brompton, may I know which AD shop ?
The combination of the pandemic and your video got me into fb’s so in a span of 4weeks i have acquired first a birdy then a 3 fold sugimura and finally a racing green brompton , very informative videos more power.
Thank you!
Love that blue. I’m binge watching Brompton videos, most likely getting some next year for the wife and I.
Great video. Its nice to see Bromptons popular in Singapore. I am wanting to buy one and take it traveling with me around Asia.
Probably the best Brompton folding and unfolding video I have seen. Proudly made in Singapore too! Well done!
Beautiful color!! Surely you'll enjoy it! Ergon grips... Titanium... all the works! Nice!
Well done for choosing the best!
I wouldn’t call it the best but nothing comes close to a brompton for foldability.
Great job! Best bike salesman I’ve ever seen!
the seller was so helpful and informative..
Excellent job by the salesman.👍😎🇦🇺
Great video. Thinking about getting one too
One small point.
It is perfectly OK to change hub gears while pedalling, in fact it is preferred. Keep the pedals turning, but take the PRESSURE off them.
This is the same change technique as for the derailleur gears. Turn the pedals over, yes, but LOAD them only lightly.
its a dream come true to have a brompton.. nice bike sir..
Fine ..... good . But no mention of two essentials _ cost and weight!
I have a small wheeled Dahon ( cost £300 s/h but it was as new) but still pulls on my right shoulder muscles when carrying up and down steps and along tube passages .... . Do I have to pay a four figure sum (UK pounds) to get a lighter bike?
Well experienced store Salesperson/owner. Good service!
Thank you for sharing this very informative video on Bromptom bikes -- specially the "Folding/Unfolding Process". Could you share what Brompton model you bought and what color? It has a great shade of blue. Thanks again. (Liked & Subscribed)
You CAN keep pedalling when changing hub gears, but you must take the load off and not "press weight" on the pedals during the change. The same is true of the dérailleur gears; just spin the pedals without putting any force on them. This means both hub and dérailleurs are changed the same way... and both can be changed together, if you so wish.
Excellent demonstration...
Bro where is this store located..
I've always wanted a Bromton. After watching this video I want one even more. Thanks
so 'Beautifully Designed'! ...'Pricey'....but i Believe Worth Every Penny!!...cheers from Canada!
I got a firefox kompac, foldable one, amazing
Where is this place I can visit?love the tips NO OTHER video has!
Thank you for the video, would this bike be suitable for an overweight person ? I weight 125KG height 180.
Beautiful color
Very good explanation of the bike
I rode a DYU before i got my brompton recently. Enjoyed the switch to pedal power tho it being tiring
Informative sales rep
Très beau Brompton, belle aventure avec !
Thank you for sharing.
I got my Chpt 3 today.... tommy was a BOSS for giving instructions. This should be up on Brompton’s site
The Chpt 3 is a fab looking bike...
Jamie Lim that it is.
These bikes are hella expensive, sales man was awesome explaining how this piece of art works
I brought a fold-out bike , good work out, for my arms carrying it on the train
You need two then, one for each arm :)

How much does it cost and if it has any issue so far?
where is this shop? I am thinking of a foldie but thinking which one is good and towards my needs
Very informative thanks
super knowledgeable!
Welcome to the wonderful world or Bromptons!
Where exactly did u purchase it from? And how much it cost you?
How much is this Brompton cost? Thanks good video
Thanks mate👍🏻
Theres an electric brompton now but not sold in SG yet. How much does the bike cost tho?
So a Brompton, probably for whatever reason I will be looking for the best deal I can find assuming I understand the compromises enough, well, anyway getting one has been my latest obsession. However I realised that before I even find a miraculous deal ( I considered clones as well as EBay) I should probably know how it feels to ride with 16” wheels, my concern is at what point would it feel like too much exercise. I mean I realise that it probably will involve much more pedaling, and I’ve been approaching this curiosity with that in mind, but untili can feel what it feels like the investment is a huge risk for me. I noticed Amazon has the A and C line, so maybe I could take advantage of Prime and decide if it was a mistake and hopefully return it without issues but I think I should search within 20 miles to see if a shop has one and would allow me a spin without me necessarily buying it that day?
You're going to love the brompton. It really improves lives in a dozen ways. Even for longer distances you take it with you on car, train, bus, boat etc and you can ride the last bit on the brompton. Even for cars its often a myth that there's convenient parking within a 10 minute walking distance.
I also recommend getting one of their bags+carrier block. It's also pricey but the quality is built to last.
I am really falling in love with it...
How much does the bike weights? Can I buy one in the U.S
Miguel Gerardo Yeah, many U.S. bike shops have them, & they could tell you the weight, which will vary depending on how many accessories you add. Also can ask at www.brompton.com
I want to throw the shop guy a thumbs up too, his instructions are great. If I get a Brompton I plan to rewatch this video.
And here I am a week later, with my new Brompton, rewatching this video!
Hoping to be doing the same soon :-) I'm heading into winter so I'm not in a rush I'm trying to absorb all the information and make a wise investment. What model did you end up choosing?
@@NoZenith long reply incoming! I went with the M6L. As it was explained to me by the shop guy, if you're torn between the 3 and 6 speed, you may as well get the 6 because the weight increase is negligible (the 3-speed hub is the heavy part, not the derailer + extra cog). And although the 2 speed would've saved much more weight (again, that 3-speed hub), I didn't think the limited gearing would be wise for touring, which I hope to eventually do.
Also note that the 3-speed hub on the 3-speed models is actually different -- and geared more "narrowly" -- than the hub on the 6-speed models, further making the case for the 6-speed.
As for the handlebars, I was torn between the S and M (ha) for a long time. Both were comfortable, though the S felt more familiar because I'm used to riding a road bike. However I ultimately decided it would be better on my back & shoulders not to be in the more aggressive position of the S bars for touring or longer, more leisurely rides. Also, it's easier to switch your bars from M to S than from S to M if you change your mind later, because the cables need to be lengthened in the latter case.
Lastly, the rear rack was easy to pass on, since I don't like the way they look and you can always buy the rack separately later down the road. (There's also loads of cheaper and/or cooler looking racks available through after-market retailers, so don't feel like it's the Brompton one or bust.)
The only thing I'm still torn on is whether or not to upgrade to a telescopic seatpost. I have the extended post on there now, which I need, but it means the seat doesn't fold down as low as with the regular or telescopic seatposts. The seat can be removed for traveling, it's more a matter of aesthetics. (The telescoping post does make the seat easier to steal though.)
Anyway if you're on the fence, one final assurance is that they keep their resale value EXTREMELY well (as you may've discovered if you've checked eBay), so it's much easier to pull the trigger when you know you can resell it for near full price if you don't like it. But I absolutely love mine, and find myself feeling bad not wanting to take my road bike out as much anymore. 😂 Hope that helps!
@@vigorousera extremely helpful! I don't think I need the rack either. For the most part I only want the rack for the better stability when collapsed and rolling around than that little fender wheel offers but I even found a direct replacement dual wheel for that fender wheel while researching! I'm considering the H&H titanium Q style mini rack since it's cheaper in some sites and about one-third the weight of the Brompton aluminum rack. I'm trying to get ahold of one other that has carbon rods with titanium tips that you assemble with little titanium bolts and nuts at the joints. Looks really slick and would weigh a fraction of pretty much any other rack out there but would give you that extra little spread for stability when Wheeling around in public. I understand the brittleness of carbon rod but I'm not planning on carrying weight on it I just want it for mounting Wheels.
I am 6 ft 1 with a 33 inch inseam. Do you think I would need the extendable post? I'm seriously considering investing in the titanium post so I can shake a couple pounds off without messing with the fork and the rear end cuz that gets ridiculously expensive. I'm waffling between the H and the M Bar because I've never ridden one before, being on the tall side and wanting an upright relaxed position, I worry the M stem is going to be too short.
@@vigorousera ua-cam.com/video/1AriG4stMr4/v-deo.html
Here is the ultra-light titanium / carbon one. Also trying to figure out if it would fit the mud guard. That's a must with me.
great seller!
That bell is sweet!
I have a folding bike and I like very much riding a bike. I live in Campinas, Brazil. My bike is black.
This is THE best explenacion ever!!!!
Your spelling isn't.
nice colour,,good video
Should have buy the 2017/2018 model. The gear shifter is much better. Also upgrade the seat to Brooks B17, it’s like airing on a lovely soft seat.
I wanted titanium and the 2017/2018 models were way too much...strangely, I like the old shifters
I bought my six-speed Brompton from Mighty Velo in 2012, it is possibly the best bicycle I have ever owned. Too bad Brompton decided to take back distributorship from them. These bikes will last a lifetime if properly maintained and well taken care of. Mine is still going strong.
really good video ,Brompton is wonderful bike .
Thank you 🙏
Very informative
nice bike..I didn't know brompton had suspension...none ever mentioned..
is it a real.suspension or just the metal to attach the rear?
Well not in the same manner as a bicycle with full suspension springs. It’s a simple dampener block to mitigate bumps..
Hi there.. where is the shop actually? Thank you...
👌🏼👍🏼👍🏼good info
sometimes I have a feeling that people buying over expensive products always try to convince the others that their purchase was justified ;) I was using Brompton and honestly, I am a quite small person, with just 50 kg weight and I really did not find Brompton very comfortable bicycle. So how man can find it ok I really do not know :D
It is however very well made bike, with ok design, with ok strumey archer speed gear which I really love for smooth transition and lack of the cracking noise like with shimano. However men please do not sell this on the internet because I would gladly ask you to ride Brompton 10K and then check your face next day, still asking you to do the same :D All bromptom's users know what I am talking about... 16 inch wheels + small saddle uffff hahahaha all in the price of 2000 eur for 6 speed gear. It is a real pity that Brompton does not want to go for bigger wheels and change something more in the design but still if there are some who buy it as it is then the business is up
Good decision! Brompton is the best!
Hi Jamie, can we put the folded brompton inside the Big Suitcase (Baggage Check in)
Yes, it’s possible, in fact, there are hard cases available.
Does the gear shifting applies to Tern bikes too? Why is it different from normal bikes?
Tern are simpler. Brompton bikes appear old fashioned.
Great bike Roy’s Roy’s in bikes. 👍🏼
That guy is amazing. You'd never get service like that in Britain.
Certainly is, in fact, the sales people at this particular shop in Singapore are very knowledgeable. Check out my latest Birdy purchase:)
Haha, not to mention Ireland 😕 got my bike and the salesman immediately turned attention to the next client...
my raw lacquer P6R is coming on Thursday!!!
Jamie,, what series this Brompton , look nice , thanks for sharing .
It’s a 6 speeder Ti model:)
Did those Velcro straps come with the bike because mine didn’t? Cheers!
Yup mine came with it:)
Hi Jamie Lim may I know which shop is this ??
I prefer the bar grips you have on this bike and love the colour. Those grips, I don't see those on the Brompton bike website ? :(
Anyone else wanting to know about those grips, they're the Ergon GP2 range.
Yes! I was about to reply:)
Thank you. I was getting disheartened. I found this video two years after it was posted and I really really really want those grips and I'm looking at purchasing a Brompton myself. I saw them in another video and they said they had to modify them with a razor blade but half the name was missing and they didn't explain what they were. Now I understand they're exactly the same the name was just worn off the rubber
