When we talk about Mr. Olympia consistency we mostly think about Dexter Jackson (never placed outside top9 and got 15 top6 finishes in a row) or even Shawn Ray (never placed outside 5th after his debut, 12 times in a row). But Phil had such an absolute bonkers olympia run... 2008: debut year, got third, many though he could have won even... 2009: last minute food poisoning, still got 5th at arguably the most impressive lineup of that era. 2010: placed 2nd to a very good Jay. 2011: 1st, arguably one of the best physiques ever 2012-2017: 1st, some controversies but in most cases he presented unprecedented fullness, bubbliness, detail and later graininess. Gut issues emerged here and there with increasing severity. 2018: controversial 2nd to an all-time best, statuesque looking Shawn Rhoden. 2020: made a return in a shape that is arguably his worst(?), still only be beaten by a peaked Big Ramy and a very polished looking reigning champ Brandon Curry. That's 7 wins, 2 seconds, 2 thirds and just one 5th place after some health concerns. 12 olympias, 11 podiums. Nuff said.
Cutler, Greene, Jackson, Rhoden, Elssbiay. It's like the scene from the incredibles where each superhero gets defeated by the omnidroid and gets their face x'd out.
I think you said it, the "youthfulness" of Phil is what really made some of his earlier physiques cartoonish and mindblowing People always try to be objective, which is highly appropriate, but you don't often hear what people think about those intangibles. The "freshness" or "youth" of a muscles look. Huge reason I love his 2011-2013 showings. I was also sleeping on 2015...
I like your explanation for all your choices & 2011 & 2013 can be flipped but I disagree on 2 points & will explain why. There is literally no one in the bodybuilding world that has 15 over 16. He was his most flat at the 2015 Prejudging and almost none of the prejudging reviews had him in 1st. SEARCH - Guru Wrapup! 2015 Mr. Olympia Prejudging Assessments! He came back for finals much fuller & no question took the win. In 2016; there was no question about his win from the moment he walked out as he was bursting full but also in his driest form. He looked quite small in prejudging 2015 compared to his normal self. 2011 was almost a duplicate to his 2010 finals look so although freaking amazing nothing that we hadn't seen a close clone of at the 2010 Arnold & 2010 Olympia finals. I remember the shock & awe I had when he came out in 2013. I had never seen such round muscle ever in the history of bodybuilding. I would agree 2011 is better than Phil's 2013 finals version but his 2013 Prejudging version reigns supreme for me as his best. The lighting in 2011 was considerably better than 2013 also but that PJ physique will always carry something special for me because of the way it made me feel.
I hate how people say bodybuilders from the 90s are way better than bodybuilders after the 90s when Phil heath would woop literally everyone from that era except Ronnie Coleman.
well but you are referring to the best bodybuilder of an era versus the rest (except Ronnie who was also the best of an era). Shouldn't you be comparing the rest of after 90s vs the rest from the 90s?
That’s a good way to put it. In my opinion 2013 is more dominant and would objectively win against fiercer competition, while 2011 has the shape, flow, and perfect proportions to make anyone impressed
I dont understand the obsession with Ronnie or Jay. I can understand Lee Haney. But to me, Phil Heath is undoubtedly the greatest bodybuilder of all time.
I love Jay for his personality and Ronnie for that work ethic, but the shape and bubbliness of Phil is unmatched. 100% insane genetics, perfect combo of size, shape, and condition at his best
I’d rank 2008 around middle of pack due to frontal aesthetics and 2009 lower since he was a bit off. 2018 wasn’t dead last-I’d give that to maybe 2014-since the back and mass was incredible but the midsection was crazy. 2020 is dead last though, even after 2014
What year is your favorite Phil Heath? Mine is personally 2015
Can’t argue with these rankings. Great video.
Thanks!
2011 is picture perfect for Phil
True.......
Agree
I think Phil's best version is 2013,he was bigger still ripped. That year he had no bubble gut issue. The freakiest version of Phil !
My all-time favorite greatest physique ever is Jay Cutler 2009, but Phil Heath 2011 is my number 2 for sure.

Can't argue with this list! Very good!
Thanks bro!
He’s my favorite bbuilder of all-time great video!!!

2017 is rated too lowly for my taste. I think it's his best back shots ever from that year.
2011 is my favorite, though.
you could see his gut even ftom the back
@@DespicableBunny 👍
Spot on with the rankings mate..nice video 👍
Thanks 👍
Thumbnail looks sick man ! You can realy compare every version so well, I do recomend you keep this style of thumbnail going foreward !
Appreciate the feedback, will do 🫡
Love videos like these man, keep it up!

Great video man
Appreciate it!
2011 was best period. No debate about it. His average frame couldn’t take any mass then what he had 2011

2010 Arnold classic phil is my favourite even though he didn’t win!
Wanted more video on the gift ❤
Got it!
Imagine… he would had a mid section like Rhoden… agree with 2011 🙏🏻
I hate how people say bodybuilders from the 90s are way better than bodybuilders after the 90s when Phil heath would woop literally everyone from that era except Ronnie Coleman.
True, he beats basically everybody except ronnie and matches dorian. He's the king of his era

@@GC-by6iz Jay cutler would also beat anyone from the 90s except for Dorian and Ronnie.
Facts bro!
Real
Nah spot on for me - 2011 Phil is like 1993 Arnold Flex - the quality of Phil 2011 was mental. So crisp sharp just amazing man.
2014 WAS HIS PEAK
7:16 I feel like 11 Phil is over looked by people when they talk about some of the absolute best physiques to ever step on the O stage
2013 hands down
I Gonna be Honest, 2012 Looks The Best to Me, Maybe because the camera quality Wasn't good in 2011.......
I think its the lighting. 2012 lighting looks so great and 2011 and 2013 look off. Photos tell us 2011 and 2013 are probably better
@@gamesbedead3599True, The Lighting Was Great in 2012!!
15, 13, and 11 were so fucking good.
Objectively by bodybuilding standard 2013 is the best by far
I used to pick 2013 as the best but every time I see 2011 I want to change my mind. They're both equally amazing for different reasons.
That’s a good way to put it. In my opinion 2013 is more dominant and would objectively win against fiercer competition, while 2011 has the shape, flow, and perfect proportions to make anyone impressed
Phil heath 2011 Mr Olympia vs shown rhoden 2018 Mr Olympia 🙏🙏

2013 Phil's legs are scary what the fuck...
2012 was the greatest and most balanced Phil has ever looked
I want The version of Phil Heath in 7months pregnant.
Phil 2014 would smoke derek
In 2015 Dexter Jackson also could win imo.
I don't want to sound weird but I feel like quality of Phils muscles are better!
That’s not weird at all, definitely a valid point
MY favourite version of heath is 2013
My favourite is 2017

Phil Heath's nose ranked through the Olympia years. I smell PED's.
2014💌
Dude gets smoked by Yates Cutler and Levrone.
Where you rank 2008 2009 and 2010
2018 and 2020 obvious would be last
