Very cool! I just thought of kids, they hate the flavors of toothpaste and wash, with this I can just add whatever extract and they would get the benefit of the baking soda! Perfect! Thanks Coleman!
awww just wonderful!!! thank you... tonight i made my first homemade cherry jam, and now i discovered this preciousness!!! i do not like buying things that come in plastic, and not to know what ingredients i am ingesting, so I choose everything that is possible to be made with Love & Care at home... Thank you... greatly shared, and to the point simple friendly... : )))
Yes. That can be an issue. You can add artificial flavors, but I try to stay away from that as much as I can. I can say that it does work. Thank You for watching, and letting me know how it went. I really do like hearing about how it goes.
+abuu ahmed I will stick to my personal opinion of using Peppermint extract over tea tree oil. I am not a medical person but I personally do not like tea tree oil. Thank You for watching.
i use both, because peppermint to freshen my breath and tea tree oil to help with gengivitis and periodontal desiese. I also put in 3 teaspoons full of xylitol to help prevent cavities. I also make my own toothpaste which includes 4 T of bendynite clay, 2 teaspoon full of xylitol, 2 drops of peppermint and 2 drops of teatree oil, then filtered water and make a paste. My teeth look great and white, my teeth feel clean all day long.. I love it.. my gums are improving also, I have been using this for 2 months and I love it. My grandkids like the tooth paste also. will not buy overthe counter toothpaste again. My dentist also asked me what I was doing. Oh I also floss and I use organic coconut oil to oil pull in the mornings fo 10 minutes then brush my teeth. My husband has gotten on this band wagon a few days ago and he said his teeth has never felt cleaner.. this homemade diy actually works.. give it a try I believe you will end up doing this for years to come.
Good question. The answer is no. Peppermint oil is the pure, concentrated oil--known as an essential oil--derived from the stems and leaves of the peppermint plant. An extract is a mixture of an essential oil and a medium--usually alcohol--that helps carry the flavor. (livingstrong .com) Peppermint extract can be found in the baking area in most stores. Thank You for watching.
+Lewis Martin I have to give a disclaimer answer. Which is that extract is made to be digested while not all oils can be. I would say to be very safe that you probably shouldn't but there are companies who say this is fine. I have done it but found the oil was very strong and separated. I hope that is a helpful answer.
If you didn't know, you can also Dilute the essential oil with a carrier oil such as coconut oil, grape seed oil, etc. Just depends on the size of the bottle and the percentage of dilution you want which the highest concentration of Essential oil being 5% while the lowest dilution percentage being 0.5%. For Example, you have a 5 mL bottle of essential oil that you want to Dilute so that it's possibly usable orally such as mouth wash (Don't take my word for it please!) You're going to be using a 0.5% dilution which is one drop of the essential oil and one table spoon of the chosen carrier oil.
It is a available at most grocery stores. You can make your own using mint leaves and vodka, or you can buy it using my amazon affiliate link: amzn.to/2omq7mK. I hope that helps. Thank You for watching.

does it taste salty because of the baking soda?
Slightly because the mint covers up some of the saltiness. Thank you for watching.
Sim it ok not to use extract?
The extract is there most for scent and flavor. it can be left out but the flavor will be off. Thank You for watching.
I don't bother. It's the bicarbonate that does the cleaning.
Color is different with listerin and other brand😁
Yes various ingredients and added colors will do that. Thanks for watching.
