This was helpful for me sir. I'm trying to (see if I should) salvage the 1/2 HP motor from mine. I couldn't determine if the nut on the 'blade' assembly was reverse-threaded or not. Thanks!
I kept mine too. Just had a new one and so yeah.. I kept the old. I decided to keep the old one so I can take the motor and install it in this underwater ScubaJet I built (or water scooter as it's called - idk why i can't see anything about a Scuba Jet that resembles a "scooter").
Jacob, if you have not gotten rid of the rotor and armature assembly I’ll take them. Also you can make a good dc motor out that using permanent magnets attached to the rotor; you may have to carefully remove and re-wind the windings and only use the thick wire. There are like 36 slots for wires in that armature and you would have google how many poles you could get for a three phase dc motor. Or maybe you can just use it as an induction motor as is but only use the thick winding. Anyways there’s lot of things you can do with that. I just took apart another one here at home 2/13/2022 it was a bitch to remove the shaft that’s for sure. Anyway good luck to ya
If you watched the video the casing was integral to the rusted and siezed bearings and impeller...I saved what I could...and it's not a compete waste cause I use it as a demo for work
these die really easily, seen it about 3 times on UA-cam alone. this what? iSE 17ss? yeah i believe anyway the stopper safety switch thing was junk. thence why they stopped making these things really early on and made the ISE Evolution CC (Cover Control) that still works like you said, but you could just disable the cover and use it like a continuous feed or, as a compost shredder lol naaaaahhh who'd bother when it's got GGGGGOOLLLDDDD????????
Thanks for watching and for the comment! It came with the old house so it's not really missed...hardly used it...We have a compost pile for that kind of thing.
“I wanted to show myself I could ruin something”
You have no idea how much I identify with that statement!
Including my life...lol
Wicked smart choice to ditch the garbage disposer and start composting.

You should do the same video, but with the Volvo, ha ha.
Is that steel core?
The laminations are yes
@@KAFKUBA alright I was thinking of using that to forge into a knife I think it may look pretty sweet
I collect garbage disposals their are no blades in the garbage disposal
by a very Loose term it's shredder disk, yeah but that's a descriptive term for a blade of sort i suppose
i wonder if he noticed it was aluminum wire in motor lol
Oh yeah. And if by he you mean me, I'm all over it.
It is aluminum wire not copper
Yes
was a nice stainless disposal that could have been fixed or repurposed by someone -such a waste
