I remember when i heard this stuff (Clown video) the first time about 95 because I thought nothing about that nu metal sound ... until this ... that exploded in my head like Queen or Nirvana years before. Thanks guys.
A lot of Korn (yeah most tbh) is really easy to play but the creativity to come up with the songs and their ability to bring out emotions is such a skill
Head's part at the end was probably KoRns's closest thing to a solo in their career. This video exposes just simple and dumbed down KoRn's guitar-work was... only the Drop A tuning and MT2 gave them any type of unique sound.
That main riff is waaaay hard to play clean than you are giving it credit. Not the easiest to move up and down the fretboard with full powerchords like they were doing. But you are entitled to your opinion
@@raulfigueroa588 Yeah, I think only someone who's never actually attempted to play KoRn songs would say something like that. They might seem easy, but some of them can be pretty tricky once you throw timing, transitions, and other things into the mix. They're not difficult in a virtuoso-type way, but that doesn't mean they're easy to play.
@@jopezuCorrect, it’s not like they kicked off a whole new era of music when they released self titled. Blind, Fake, Clown… I can go on. Absolute banger after banger album 🤘🤘🤘
I’m not even that big of a korn fan but these two are 100% original and work perfectly off of eachother.
Well said
They play their own music. .. original. . . metal with slow tempo. . .
That riff is pure grimy, love it.
These guys evolved metal music . Incredible creativity on those effects pedals and 7strings
Korn is about Sound, not complexity... Guitar Elitists lol. Even Steve Vai endorsed them.
These two guys and this song is one of the biggest reasons I picked up a guitar 25 years ago
I have now idea how in a million years you could cook up a riff this weird and yet so catchy
Love these 2 playing together
No other guitar players have that ROAR
They're one of the reasons why I want to play electric guitar

Such amazing and technical giutarists. I'm fucking blown away. Nobody can do such techinical and well crafted riffs like these 2 can
So raw. Nasty. Dirty. Dark. Fuckin heavy
Thes two are such a dynamic duo
Tab this, Great players
My boys
This is my shit
I like young koRn
need to know how to get munkys exact sound
I've got a 540s7 in perfect condition

Zajebiste!
This shows how boring this would be without bass especially fieldys bass
Mamma mia!!!!😨😨😨🙃👿👿👿👿👿👿👿😎😎😎😎😎😎
What pedal is using Head?
There's only distortion on this video. Maybe he switch to overdrive when playing that creepy notes
Does monky use the same pedal, too?
none, straight to amp
ibanez 7th heaven
@@n0wsinndo yk for a fact they use tha bc I’ve been trying so fuckin hard to get the sound
looks like a novice guitar player practice
It's catchy af though so who cares?
lmao yess, hilarious

worst tones ever lol
yeh, it's not like they literally kickstarted an entire decade's worth of nu-metal copycats with this album or anything...
