- Making traditional design sketches really pop, with some simple digital techniques!
Digitally enhancing design sketches can bring them to life. This mix of traditional & digital sketching techniques is a great way to maximise impact.

Very nicely done! I use Sketchbook on my Samsung tablet although not nearly with your talent!
That’s very kind, thank you!!
Congrats on 50k

Thank you Mason!!!
Excellent! What software did you use?
Thank you. It’s ‘autodesk sketchbook’.
I'd love to see a video about rendering chamfered and filleted surfaces (interior and exterior) to make it obvious in your drawings
Nice idea. It’s a slightly tricky one as the type of material makes a big difference. A hard reflective surface (such as plastic and metal - depending on any surface finishes) might have the light reflecting in a way to represent the fillet. A less reflective surface could have a gradient of shading (getting darker as the surface curves away - apart from some light bouncing back off any surface below).
Both methods will rely heavily upon the construction of the drawing. The outside lines of the shape will need to look curved before any representation through rendering.
I’m thinking this through as I’m writing this. Definitely a good topic for a video!
@@productdesignermaker Yeah, some good points. That's why construction and contour lines are so valuable I suppose, not just for constructing forms but also showing the shape of the product behind hidden surfaces. Thanks!
Can you pls make a video on how to draw objects from reference images (i.e.- iron, camera, grinder etc) in 2 point and 3 point perspective. I have searched everywhere but I didn't found any video on this.

Thank you!!
Big problem at the draw. 🤨 The cube finally flips for 90°? But the texture/grain isn't flipping too. Position :0°, 30° - everything ok. But at 60° and 90° the texture returns to Zero? 🤔
Haha! Not sure I’d call it a big problem 😂
@@productdesignermaker Yeah, the more i think about it, call it "Big" is too hard. That why: sorry
Sorry for my bad english. German is my mothers language...
@@nick111 haha, no problem at all.... I always find things in my videos that I consider to be mistakes. Always when it’s a little bit too late to fix!
@@productdesignermaker You are a great teacher. Thanks for motivating me to pick up my pencils again. 😉
@@nick111 that’s very kind, thank you!!
Beautiful! :) thank to share. I've one question, why there is a drop shadow on left of each cube? Because if I well understand, the light is coming from upper left, isn't it? we shouldn't see these shadow. In any case, it's a very nice rendering. well done. I will try this :)
Thank you. I wasn’t thinking too much about it as I was going, so I ended up with two light sources.
Nice
Thank you.
2:32 I like that😍💋 💝💖❤️
My favourite moment too!!
