Why are so many people on these shows S types with very few Ns?
As an INFJ I want to see more intuitive type relationships!
Well, intuitive types are, on average, a little rarer than sensory ones. There's just more of them, so you're more likely to get one. Also there may be something self-selecting about this being a reality show - some sensation seekers might be more drawn to the "experience" of being on a reality show.
I’m starting to notice a pattern. So far, all the SE doms on Love is Blind (Shane, Shake, Jarrett, shaina, bet you Jessica from season 1’s got SE in her stack), they are always either involved in love triangles, accused of cheating or have problems settling down. I mean not all, like you said Nancy seems well rounded. But my take away is if you’re dating an SE dom, then you better look damn good in their arms. Like you better be turning heads everywhere you go. Appearance seems to be of high importance to them.
I get your point and concern, and I think if we look at the function SE on its own, then yes it does prioritise the sensory experience, which includes a person’s physical appearance. But we also need to take into account the other 3 functions that would be able to balance that shortsighted desire out: like the N function which prioritises future outcomes, the T function which prioritises what’s practical what makes sense, and the F function for emotional needs and connection, what are my values, what do I value most.
Also Type and functions I find is only 50% of the explanation of behaviour. Someone’s background, upbringing, past experiences all add up to shape how they use those functions in the end.
There are SE doms who are “top heavy”, unintegrated, so very shallow. But there are those that know the physical experience is not everything.
I guess what I’m trying to say is that we can’t label all SE as having tendencies to be shallow or to stray, but it’s something to keep in mind if you sense that looks are a priority for them and you’ve typed them to have SE.
PS. Jessica Season 1 i think is an ESFP - so also SE dom 😅 But Nancy is also ESFP but with completely different behaviour and decision making. Hence my point that Type is only 50% of what’s going on.

Your analyses are amazing, so interesting! I am an INTP and it's funny because Raven kind of rubbed me the wrong way initially but I think it was because she was almost a mirror to myself. You know how they say people or things that really bother us are because we do those things or are that way, so they're kind of pointing out our flaws or weak spots? That's how I felt with Raven! In the end, I really liked and understood her because she's extremely similiar to how I am. I come off very aloof and struggle making emotional connections but I actually am a very emotional person and feel a lot but I'm not good at showing it. When people like SK bring it out of me, it makes me feel seen, so I can totally understand why she was drawn to him, especially if she was making an effort to work on those parts of herself that weren't as comfortable for her. Thanks!!
Yes, we are often annoyed with our own type or people with same functions because we feel they can “do better” or we see thru their BS because we are them 😆
Also, types with the lowest Feeling function often feel a lot and deeply, because our lowest function is close to our core. But because we are reluctant to express the lowest function, no one else knows that you feel deeply. And it takes a lot of self awareness to realise that you are otherwise aloof to the outside world. So I commend you for being self aware - a sign of maturity ❤️

Andrew being an ISTP makes complete sense to me, but I also think it's hilarious. As an ISTP myself (hey, I'm back! Just under one of my other accounts), I can definitely see some of my more... negative characteristics in Andrew lol...
Raven an ISTP too? Wow, lots of ISTPs this season! I can see it though. I didn't like Raven at first, but I warmed up to her at the end. I've been told by people that I can come off as an ice queen, and yeah, Raven definitely comes off that way too.
Nancy was my favorite of this season. She's so fun, smart, well-rounded, and so cute. I kind of want her to be my girlfriend, lol. I'm sure my husband wouldn't mind... 😂
I still do not totally believe Raven wants SK. She wants to change the type of man she is attracted to so, she is trying to be compatible with him. In the end, I believe her friends are correct. She will wear him out. Being a rescuer type of person eventually breaks down. I think the Bay Area particularly is a good place for him to find his intellectual, emotional and possibly cultural match.
SK may just be the start of Raven’s introspection on what she really wants in a relationship

I’m an ENTP-A and hubby is INFJ-A. I don’t know much about the types but we seem to get along really well for 20 yrs. I just make sure not to criticize him too much. 😅

It’s disheartening to see Nancy in the reunion scene with Andrew, when Bartise came over. She is so starved of B’s attention that she falsely thinks he cares for her. Challenging Bartise with “why are you here?” would have put the issues to light.

I'm still waiting as I type but as I mentioned, I literally cannot relate to Colleen, I've been an ESFJ for over 15 years but depth , real conversations with people, harmony is soo important for me. Whereas some ESFJ come off as super naive and just fun with no substance .

Me and my boyfriend are both INFP and we are together for 3 years and hopefully all our lives, so I don't understand why similare type couldn't be together

I typed Nancy as an Fe user. Specifically ESFJ. She doesn't put her needs first the way an Fi user would. What made you conclude Fi over Fe?
Need based prioritization is too general to differentiate Fe vs Fi especially when typing an insecure person. Nancy kept on pushing her love on him without responding to how Bartise feels in this relationship. Fi has their own values. For example, we know where Nancy stands on abortion, even though it’s against Bartise family values. Compare her to Brennon who accommodates to all of Alexa’s demands. We know very little of what Brennon values. He considered giving up his cowboy boots for her.

So do we think SK is actually being genuine then? Cuz he has been very deceitful to her. Does that change his type at all?
Deceit itself is not limited to one type. Anyone can lie. Therefore it doesn’t change my conclusion on its own.
@Dr Cherie Types yes thats a fair point. what about the possibility of him not being his authentic self? I feel like he is acting in a way that he predicts Raven would like- therefore what if he doesn't actually mean the things he is saying, that you are potentially basing his type off of? Idk if I am making sense or not. Like when he proposed to her again in the reunion he was saying all of these things and how he felt about her, but he literally was seeing another girl behind her back during that time.
It’s how he speaks that gives away his cognitive functions. For example is his proposal filled with logical or value based reasons.

Do girls like Alexa have an inconsistent narrative with Cole a bit? He went from being called a child to a little more conniving. I think most of us agree he’s foolish with his words. But are the girls trying to spin it that it was deliberate, or like their was a method to his madness? They don’t want you to believe he’s just really stupid bc then it looks like his public humiliation was unwarranted
Hmm Andrew comes off as a Te user, not Ti.. he does not have his own ideas and not that inherently logical either, shows off his credentials all too much. He quotes other people’s ideas and does not seem to have his own. Maybe ENTJ?
We agree that he is a T(hinking) dominate person. Andrew’s type aside, let’s unravel your thoughts. If the ideas are not logical then they would be F(eeling) or value based. As these ideas are quoted from others then they are from e(xtraversion). This suggests Fe.
