Hey Chip and Wally! Like how you showed us how to troubleshoot the fire. Looks like previous mod on wiring didn't protect splices well? No heavy tape or wire nuts? maybe exposed wire touched metal washer chassis causing short fire? thx

I have a Maytag bravos washing machine. I Tok out the wash basket to check the drive hub which did turn out to be bad but when I removed the wash basket, the tube that it was attached to came out with it. What is that tube and what would I need to do now?
Well, I'm trying to picture this and if a shaft came out with the tub then I don't think you can repair that machine without changing the gearbox. Thanks for watching!
