Hi Anton, thanks for the video, I decided to buy this Router after a full view of this. I'm in London right now, moving to Ukraine for work reasons, I will have my first gigabit connection there so I thought.. why not? I should have a router that can handle that, otherwise I would have ended up with a funnel effect! Tomorrow they're gonna install the cables for internet etc... and same day the router is coming! can't wait to see the final result! Big thumbs up for you! cheers, Fabio
Fabio! Thank you so much, I feel happy inside knowing you made a choice after seeing my video! I wish you all the best of luck with your job, and getting the gigabit experience. It's sweet. Big thumbs up for you aswell man and keep doing you :) All best.
it's garbage, the worst piece of trash I have ever owned i got it to replace an unstable 66u_b1 and went back to 66u_b1 after a 3 days this routher SUCKS!
Gonna go ahead and pay $371 for this thing, I'm putting my faith in your word that this thing really is as great as you say ;) Ty in advance, I'll post back to update how it's working for anyone interested as well.
It's up to one another if they think it's worth it for them. I'm super satisfied. It hasn't broke down on me yet for about 8 months :) Never needed a restart. Feel free to post an update whenever you feel like! :)
This is a amazing router. It's mainly for gaming / streaming content. You could use it for normal use, of course. It has everything a router could possibly need and a little bit more to that. But the price is its downside. Don't invest in this router (note invest) if you don't need its power. But if you do, I'd recommend this model anyday!
Not bad for your third review man, how ever would be good if you walked though the tech and deliver the facts of the product at the start, maybe more details on capability etc, only just started getting my attention about 11min in.
Anton Rosell not yet but im siting down now so i might sus it out. was in thr market for a new router but instead of going consumer grade im gona go commercial, ended up going Ubiquiti, its GUI is awesome with a dash board that gives you full reports on traffic analysis wood for better control and a command line.
I've had this router for a few months and am very disappointed with its performance. It doesn't have good coverage for my whole house. Also, if I turn on smart wifi It seems to get confused which band (2.4ghz or 5ghz 1&2) to steer my wifi devices. I have to assign separate SSIDs for each band and manually connect each device to it to maximize efficiency. I finally got tired of this setup and went out and bought a wifi system/ mesh setup: I have a Netgear Orbi (2 pack)and a Linksys Velop (3 pack). After about a week of testing I returned the Linksys Velop. The Orbi has been the best Wifi setup I've used to date.
umh umh sir , im planning to buy this , and uhh, uhhh, does it affect internet latency ? you know ping because im from asia and i want to play in Americas server because in asia all of them is non english speaking umh so , yeah , thats is my question and i have a plan to use cat6 to my computer because my mobo doesnt support wifi they say . and i dont really trust wifi tho. So im planning to connect a cat 6 to this ,, thanks
For some odd reason, my asus router capped my 1000 Mbps by 550 Mbps and, even worse, limited my hardwired Pc to only 237 Mbps. Can anyone tell me what I did wrong here?
Speed is measured in bits/second hence it is is 2 Gbps i.e. maximum throughput will be 2048/8=256 MBps theoretically. Plz don't miss guide people with 2GBps
Does the 4 LAN ports give off internet? Cause i have a router that only gives off internet in LAN port1 and in LAN port2,3,4 doesn't give internet to the device.
It's not necessary. Anyone can roll with a regular router. It's all about min-maxing your internet speed and connection :) And finetuning to the very best performance possible.
Hi mate. I searched the web quickly, but found nothing about the actual distance. Right now I'm not in a position where I could go & test it myself either. Also you have to consider whatr objects might be between you and the router when transmitting a WiFi signal. In my case, I have 3 floors & walls if I would be to travel outside :) Basically I could go outside my apartment building, and maybe walking 15-20 meters away from it, that's when I start to loose the signal.
Hi :) Well, ask yourself if you do. If you live alone and use it alone, I'd say go for the ASUS Rt-AC87u. If you share your home and internet with others, go for this one. :D
I have this router. I recently upgraded to gig speed internet service. But this router wouldn't get over 550 mbps. Kinda sad, I had to take cable companies router. So annoying 😢
great video drago, really informative and professional (i liked the 'that's what she said' near the start though obviously haha)
Thank you! :D Haha I just had to keep it in the video lol...
Nice personal review! The looks caught my eye right away as well. Been thinking of investing in that beast!
Thank you! Keep me updated on that one :)
Great review! Just bought this device and can't wait to ´feel´the power :-)

Confetti Sprinkles Are you still using this same router after a year? Any problems or regrets?
Now that's a router! Looks like it can beam WIFI to the international space station.
awesome video is this a good router just for normal use and you need the router and what's the other thing

Thank you for all the feedback! I agree that many parts could've been better executed and so on. Have you seen my more recent reviews though? :)

Har du testat en 60fps kamera för facecam videor som denna? (Inte i stream dvs)

-Jakethekhajiit

Hi!
Haha yeah, many things at once and this world was still kind of new to me back then :) It's a different story now though!
thanks for the vídeo
Were you paid by ASUS for this review?
Hi! And nope :)
Anton Rosell was the router they sent you free?
Does the 4 LAN ports give off internet? Cause i have a router that only gives off internet in LAN port1 and in LAN port2,3,4 doesn't give internet to the device.
They do!
Does this change my wifi speed ?
It did change my speed in my previous apartment. So I guess it'll have the same effect to you. Depends what router you have now.
Anton Rosell I think it's a metro
Is this thing really necessary?!?! I'm thinking about getting it but I'm a little hesitant about buying this item.

Let me know if I can answer any question you got!
I just purchased this router and my streaming is now horrible!! HELP!
anton you should do the speed test of this router when playing games
Hi! :)
It remains the same while playing games. It's too powerful, lol.
Anton Rosell ok is the power level of this router is over 9000!!!
you should do a give a way
can i use it from 200m distance..? if not what is its actual long distance? plz kindly inform me
Hi mate.

Anton Rosell thank u very much :)
Should I buy it?
Btw great video
Subbed
Hi :)
Well, ask yourself if you do. If you live alone and use it alone, I'd say go for the ASUS Rt-AC87u.
If you share your home and internet with others, go for this one. :D
And thanks for subbing! I appreciate that alot :)
I'm subscribing your awesome and funny
Thanks man!
It's not hard to setup. you follow three easy steps and you're done in a few minutes.
Asus is the best gaming gear there is i would kill my self if it not existed. Getting this badboy today
is this good if i played online games and wanted the best connection and experience without lag problems most of the time?
You said it, mate!
Anton Rosell so it is?
I would say so, yes :)
Anton Rosell oh ok thanks and also you just got a sub.
No problem. If it's too pricey there's still good routers from Asus out there. ASUS RT-AC51U is a good example! :)
is it hard to setup
Is this still a good router to buy?
Absolutely. It is way better than your average router.
FUCKING DONT BUY THIS
i bought this by watching this and the cashback
Hey, I hope you're happy with it! Cheers.
