    Hi Anton,
    thanks for the video, I decided to buy this Router after a full view of this.
    I'm in London right now, moving to Ukraine for work reasons, I will have my first gigabit connection there so I thought.. why not? I should have a router that can handle that, otherwise I would have ended up with a funnel effect!
    Tomorrow they're gonna install the cables for internet etc... and same day the router is coming! can't wait to see the final result!
    Big thumbs up for you!
    cheers,
    Fabio

      Fabio!
      Thank you so much, I feel happy inside knowing you made a choice after seeing my video!
      I wish you all the best of luck with your job, and getting the gigabit experience. It's sweet. Big thumbs up for you aswell man and keep doing you :)
      All best.

      It's up to one another if they think it's worth it for them. I'm super satisfied. It hasn't broke down on me yet for about 8 months :) Never needed a restart. Feel free to post an update whenever you feel like! :)

    awesome video is this a good router just for normal use and you need the router and what's the other thing

    • @AntonRosell
      @AntonRosell  8 років тому

      This is a amazing router. It's mainly for gaming / streaming content. You could use it for normal use, of course. It has everything a router could possibly need and a little bit more to that. But the price is its downside. Don't invest in this router (note invest) if you don't need its power. But if you do, I'd recommend this model anyday!

    Not bad for your third review man, how ever would be good if you walked though the tech and deliver the facts of the product at the start, maybe more details on capability etc, only just started getting my attention about 11min in.

      @AntonRosell  7 років тому +1

      Thank you for all the feedback! I agree that many parts could've been better executed and so on. Have you seen my more recent reviews though? :)

      Anton Rosell not yet but im siting down now so i might sus it out. was in thr market for a new router but instead of going consumer grade im gona go commercial, ended up going Ubiquiti, its GUI is awesome with a dash board that gives you full reports on traffic analysis wood for better control and a command line.

    I've had this router for a few months and am very disappointed with its performance. It doesn't have good coverage for my whole house. Also, if I turn on smart wifi It seems to get confused which band (2.4ghz or 5ghz 1&2) to steer my wifi devices. I have to assign separate SSIDs for each band and manually connect each device to it to maximize efficiency. I finally got tired of this setup and went out and bought a wifi system/ mesh setup: I have a Netgear Orbi (2 pack)and a Linksys Velop (3 pack). After about a week of testing I returned the Linksys Velop. The Orbi has been the best Wifi setup I've used to date.

    så om man bor i Villa och har routern ca 15-20m+ ifrån datan(med väggar emellan) är det fortfarande sladd som gäller? eller kan man köra via wifi och ända lira fps spel osv?

    • @AntonRosell
      @AntonRosell  7 років тому

      Tjena Andreas :)
      Är det betongväggar? Det kan ju bli sämre kontakt i så fall.
      Självklart kan du spela, det är inga problem. Men om vi säger att det är tre tjocka betongväggar i mellan routern och datorn, så hade jag uppskattat att det kan bli en ytterst liten fördröjning.
      Jag rekommenderar dock att du kör med kabel i ALLA LÄGEN där det går! :)

    For some odd reason, my asus router capped my 1000 Mbps by 550 Mbps and, even worse, limited my hardwired Pc to only 237 Mbps. Can anyone tell me what I did wrong here?

  • @jacj2490
    @jacj2490 7 років тому

    Speed is measured in bits/second hence it is is 2 Gbps i.e. maximum throughput will be 2048/8=256 MBps theoretically. Plz don't miss guide people with 2GBps

    Does the 4 LAN ports give off internet? Cause i have a router that only gives off internet in LAN port1 and in LAN port2,3,4 doesn't give internet to the device.

    • @AntonRosell
      @AntonRosell  7 років тому

      It's not necessary. Anyone can roll with a regular router. It's all about min-maxing your internet speed and connection :) And finetuning to the very best performance possible.

    can i use it from 200m distance..? if not what is its actual long distance? plz kindly inform me

    • @AntonRosell
      @AntonRosell  7 років тому

      Hi mate.
      I searched the web quickly, but found nothing about the actual distance. Right now I'm not in a position where I could go & test it myself either. Also you have to consider whatr objects might be between you and the router when transmitting a WiFi signal. In my case, I have 3 floors & walls if I would be to travel outside :) Basically I could go outside my apartment building, and maybe walking 15-20 meters away from it, that's when I start to loose the signal.

      Hi :)
      Well, ask yourself if you do. If you live alone and use it alone, I'd say go for the ASUS Rt-AC87u.
      If you share your home and internet with others, go for this one. :D

    I have this router. I recently upgraded to gig speed internet service. But this router wouldn't get over 550 mbps. Kinda sad, I had to take cable companies router. So annoying 😢
