Thought the same thing, they could have even walked to Plitvice if they had wanted to. Would probably still have cost them more than 10 hours of walking on regular roads (including the walk back), assuming they were a bit past Bihać. They could have also taken the bus, which would have made it even easier. Then they could have skipped Albania, Montenegro and North Macedonia, by going through Serbian Raška/Sandžak before/after visiting Sarajevo. Skipping Sarajevo would also have given them another 5 to 6 hours of driving time.

2:39 I'm pretty sure the middle picture is a relay, which is an electric switch. Not sure about its purpose (as they're used for many things), but it clearly wasn't essential. The other pictures are very blurry, but my guess is that the first picture might be the relay controller (if it was attached to the relay), and the third one might be the burnt relay's case.
I envy Morten. He went all the way from Denmark to Turkey within a span of a few months, and got to see so many different cultures, languages, and landmarks from different European countries with his friends (And literally by a cheap car). Though it was a shame that he wasn't able to go to those falls in Croatia which he really wanted to go to at that time, and that he had to go back to Denmark halfway through the trip!
2:41 the car part (middle one) is a stator coil, Spaghetti Road, The stator is the coil of wire housed inside the engine case. A magnet on a shaft spins within the stator, creating alternating current (AC). That current travels along fairly heavy gauge wire through the case and into the rectifier/regulator which converts it to DC , and at a consistent output.

Well the clutch is expected, although it's quite impressive that even if it burned it still kept going, that's French engineering for you, and I suspect the car hadn't been serviced for quite a while when they bought it (just what 306 and 206 owners tend to be like)

Yeah that was kinda unefficient + having a lot of time left and not visiting their desired Croatian location

Spaghetti Road in 2050: HOW TO BECOME THE LEADER OF EVERY SINGLE COUNTRY
@@kingdomofmeathmapping7563 God u are relentless
I think it's a relay for something. That car has an alternator, not a stator.
These guys are so cool. Looks like an amazing road trip, hopefully when the virus ends, you can go on some more! Seems like a ton of fun! Maybe go with something a liiiiiiiitle better than that Peugeot I think it is that you drove.

So, does anyone know what those burnt components were yet?
They are buchan bypassers, built as a secondary defence mechanism to the break shutdown system. Whilst not essential they are a key safety feature that prevents brake sticking either down or not. They were probably burning because they got caught somehow here near the hot engine
@@dom9412 oh
Are you sure about that? Thus means that in the event of a braking system failure, these guys are toast?
I believe its a relay., but i'm not sure which one. A car has many, for example for the horn or A/C.
