Cant believe I missed Ryan Jensen again on here until just now. I am one of those people getting really hyped to paint watching him. Just such an amazing way to paint I LOVE his energy. Cant get enough of his painting ideas
Ryan's painting is so energetic! It could be stopped at any stage and would be looking as very abstract to impression of sunset. I like colors, his ability to create images from those colors. It was so much fun to watch. Thank you very much!
Thanks for showing the pile of paper towels. I always use a lot when everyone around me has just used a couple of them and I wonder if there is something wrong with the way I paint.
Hello from Lewes, Delaware. I definitely relate to Ryan explanation of ‘trusting his process.’ In that he transcends his being into his work at the time, and his heart as it becomes one with his painting. And not til Ryan looks back when it’s done, does he realize what he’s accomplished. Great work, Ryan! Thanks, Eric.
Watching this and getting inspired as I always do with Ryan’s paintings. Ryan is an excellent artist and teacher. My take away is how he composes the scene with color, allowing the color to create the form. RWPalumbo
Just coming in....late! I'm already confused how he's going to get this!! LOL!!! Yep, I remember seeing him and the kids rock climbing!! I was as impressed as I am with his painting!! LOL!!!
OMG, the environmentalist in me is cringing everytime Ryan grabs those papertowels!!! LOL!!! My husband does the same thing to clean up a tiny spill....Aahhh!! 🤣🤣
They are an unfortunate tool for painting. Cloth is unaffordable even as used rags. One theoretically could reuse rags for a little while if they were hung outside to dry. Weather permitting. Oily rags indoors whether paper towels or cloth are a hazardous fire risk.
One reason that many painters have stopped using mineral spirits or turpentine as a solvent, using only linseed or another oil to clean brushes, etc., as oil painters did before turpentine. If I start painting, as I hope to, I'm going to do the same thing. I'm scared of those rags! Linseed oil is vastly less volatile than turpentine! I am clueless about Gamasol.
Love your style...watching from Dublin Ireland
He’s a genius. Loved watching him previously. Colleen Australia.🎉❤

It’s got to be hard having to look in one direction at his canvas, and turn back to look at you Eric. Totally enjoying his impromptu portrait!
Idky but I thought, "this dude looks like he was a marine at one time". Crazy 😊
Thanks for providing a new way to think about light refraction at sunset. I've never seen this before❤
