    I bought a Balboa replacement board. No one would answer my questions about the dip switches. You did. In fact that Board you replaced is the very board I bought only set up for 110v.

    Great video. The screw on my board that has a the paint on the head was in the bottom left. Just scraped out the paint with a small pick and used a quality screwdriver. I didn't have to remove the wires from the heater. I was able to just unplug the black plug on the board that is for these heater wires. The board cleared everything and was able to be removed. I also had a sub-board in front laying flat on top of the heater for additional motors. That I removed.

    Good Job Spa Man, Your work needs an award. It helped with our 2007 Dim1 19' Aqua Swim Dual Spa and Hot tube rebuild. Working on an M-Class, spa side board failed and been avoiding it's R & R. Dim1 Products have limited YT vis for some reason.

    Just spotted a possible cause of the heater connections burning up: the connection bolt on the circuit board has a nut Loctited in place -- and the Loctite got on top of the nut, which will make for a higher resistance connection.

    I am getting power to the hot tub. The top side is not getting power or coming on. So how do I check to see it it's a topside or bad board? Nothing inside the tub is getting power(pumps, heater, etc). So I don't know if it's a lack of power to the topside. Is there a place I can test for power inside the board after the line set? I've checked all fuses.

    • @spaman5440
      @spaman5440  Рік тому

      Check to make sure it is hooked up correctly and all connections are tight Proper wire size and type is very important also #6 THHN wire only (Not Romax ever)check all grounds and check with the breaker turned off the all connections in the pack are pushed in all the way check all fuses with a TESTER. if all that checks out and its a New tub call the dealer you bought it from If you bought it on line and the manufacture dropped shipped it to your door Im story to say LET THE FUN BEGIN and get ready for endless email and phone calls or you could bite the bullet and hire a spa tech to come out and figure it out and fix it for you. If you bought the spa used then like I just said call a spa tech and you with be good to go. Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING

    Even with the hot tub unplugged do I have to worry about being shocked? Looks like there are capacitors on that board.

    • @spaman5440

    Scott - great videos! This is Peter in Orlando, and you & I spoke 2 weeks ago about my Balboa Antigua Spa Dura SportAW. F6. Ec
    : Model #: VS501Z. I confirmed its getting 120V and the board , and the topside control does not appear to be the problem. So I'm now guessing it's an issue with the board (6 years old). There's only 1 pump (which is working fine). Also, Balboa told me I could replace on my unit w/a 300VS board versus the 501Z (does that sound right?). Do you have any suggestions on where to go for for a quality & economical replacement circuit board? Amazon, local, other? Thanks.

    My fuse didn't pop on my board so not only did it fry the board but melted the box.
