Barbaracle did appear in Sword and Shield. You may not have noticed if you played shield, but if you had Sword then you got Gordy as a version exclusive gym leader and he used Barbaracle as his opener. I remember having difficulty with it as well as I arranged my team to start with my water type to gain an advantage against rock only to not be able to O-KO it and he got off his shell smash and proceeded to sweep half my team. It was actually a great opener for a rock team if you didnt have a grass type.
Same here. I just don't like Gastrodon (though he's strong) and Floatzel aldo never caught my attention. At least I always thought Lumineon is a beautiful pokémon, so I got him in my team :)
I have a very funny story about Lumineon so I’ll never forget about it. It was 2007 and Diamond had just came out. I was 9 and i was stuck on finding out what the last 2 Pokémon to complete the regional dex for the absolute longest time as i didn’t watch Pokémon UA-cam or use the internet much to look things up. So i literally roamed the Sinnoh region for probably a good 2-3 months just stuck until one day i found one randomly and that might have been the most excited I’ve ever been about a Pokémon game. Good times, these games have brought me so many good memories
Chimecho I feel isn't forgotten because most people remember how obscenely rare it was in RSE despite being a rather weak Pokemon and it often finds itself on lists of that kind. Legends Arceus also gave it a lil' love with the cute side quest about it finding a home in the eaves of an old lady's house.
@tdog I've never really used one in battle so that's neat to know! It could probably use a lil' stat boost. Power creep has gutted so many Gen I-III Pokemon.
I actually forgot Chimecho existed until I saw it in the video but I remember how insanely rare it was and that was more memorable. It took me probably an hour or two hours to finally find one back in Emerald and it was the only one I ever caught not only in that game but the entire time I've played the Pokemon games.
I specifically remember how rare it was too. On the other hand, Grumpig is a Pokemon I routinely forget about, and then when I do remember I don't really care to keep remembering because it is just so boring. Not that Chimecho is all that much better, but could have easily been swapped with Grumpig, IMO.
Chimecho isnt that rare. Spoink was much rarer in actual RSE because, despite what bulbapedia says, it does not have a 20% encounter rate and the guides for encounters during Gen 3 literally were wrong for where its encountered, claiming it was on the road between Nagasaki and Watson.
@@F14thunderhawk Chimecho is only a 2% encounter on exactly one map in the Gen 3 games--Mt. Pyre's summit. Not sure if this was changed for the Omega games. Spoink is only found on one route (Jagged Pass), but that route is much larger and it has a much higher encounter rate.

For Gen 9, I gotta say Squackabilly is probably the most forgettable. It’s not on any memorable teams, and you have to go out of your way to even encounter it usually. When I was completing my Pokédex, I had never even encountered one with 150+ hours in the game. And it took me a while to find it because I refused to look online. Eventually I found the one on your house, but if I didn’t happen to notice the item that was also on the roof, I never would’ve found it. I only recently learned it has different forms.

Unfortunately Komala is one Pokémon that I will never forget exists as it was the first ever failed shiny encounter capture I had because I killed it as I didn't realize it was shiny until it was too late.
Am i the only person on this planet that used Rabsca on his team? He was pretty good to and i like his concept a lot, the ball that he hold's in his purple smoke is an egg
Funniest part of Rabsca was that I had one on my first team because of me making my first run all bug types. The one I forgot the most was Paldean Tauros because I didn’t even encounter a single one until I fought the gym teacher and even then it doesn’t stand out much
When he asks if Game Freak even added a pure water type to gen 4 and pulled up Lumineon, without even mentioning Floatzel, I knew he picked the wrong one.
Octillery is in my opinion more of a forgotten pokemon than Granbull will ever be. Comfey instead of komala too. And for Scrlet and Violet i would like to mention Squawkabilly, I only realized it exist when i wanted to complete the pokedex.
Rabsca was my favorite new Pokémon. It’s a nice reference to khepri from Egyptian mythology. Revival blessing is also fitting since he was responsible to reviving Ra every morning.
Bit late to the party, but I was playing Pokemon Colosseum the other day and Politoed popped up on my opponent’s team and I *completely* forgot it existed. Anyway, great video as always 🧡
I remember Komala and Chimecho cuz they were very present in the anime. From those generations i would said that Delcatty and Bruxish are the most forgotten from their generations.
@@JamesTheCelestial Gen 3 is a really hard gen to pick an forgotten Pokémon. You have so many big names in there and forgettable Pokémon that are remember for being forgettable.
Chimecho appeared in the anime a bunch I think, and if you do pokedex collecting it's pretty memorable due to being really a rare encounter. I think Huntail is more forgettable even though it's the counterpart to Gorebyss (the only thing it's memorable for). No trainers use it (at least that I remember), it's impossible to get in the normal game (requires trading), and it's not particularly memorable when you see it. I don't even think it had much of an anime presence.
For gen 9, I’d say Dolliv is the most forgotten. In the sense that if you showed someone a picture they’d tell you “this… this evolves from smoliv, right?”
I will say, a lot of mons are only forgettable due to the way they're presented. In New Pokemon Snap for example Luvdisc and Lumineon are far less forgettable (IMO).
I never forgot about Lumineon because it has a beautiful design and I won my first contest in Platinum with her. However,do wish Lumineon gets an evolution that looks like mix of Dragonair and Milotic just to buff her. Handdown one of my favorite water mon's.
Kamala is def not forgettable in the anime. it knock the bell for the school nearly every episode, while also being the only pokemon that showed immunity to the invincible giggly puff lol
I find the bramblghast line is S/V to be more forgettable. when walking in the desert, I sometimes didn't know if what I saw was a pokemon or a tumbleweed so I avoided it altogether. It also has the same evolution method as Rabsca and Pawmot but Bramblghast's design doesn't change once it evolves. At least Pawmot stands on two feet and grows extra hair. I can't tell the difference between the two pokemon in this line.
Pawmot though suffers that it has to compete with Iron Hands existing in the same gen, even though its the first Pikachu Clone to get a full evolutionary line and otherwise has excellent stats and movepool.
@@F14thunderhawk But Brambleghast is competing with other Pokemon of the same typing combination as well. you have the trevenant line, ghourgeist line, Decidueye, and Dhelmise. it is not even as good of a Pokemon as a lot of these so it doesn't stand out on top of its very bland design. Furthermore, Meowscarada and Cacturne do the same thing as Brambleghast offensive wise but better because they are not weak to ghost. Therefore, why even would you want Brambleghast on your team at all when you have so many superior options? At least with Pawmot, it is one of only two Pokemon with this type combination. Yes, Iron Hands is the superior Pokemon, but you wouldn't have access to it until the very end of the game. Therefore, Pawmot is the best option for this type combination for the majority of a playthrough.

Gen5 you couldve also Elegym and zbehemyem whatever theyre names are, i always forget the exist until I see photos of them again
I remind you, the pokemon that is even forgotten in a forgotten list: Exploud
Unfortunately Komala is one Pokémon that I will never forget exists as it was the first ever failed shiny encounter capture I had because I killed it as I didn't realize it was shiny until it was too late.
Am i the only person on this planet that used Rabsca on his team? He was pretty good to and i like his concept a lot, the ball that he hold's in his purple smoke is an egg
Thank you so much for all videos you made. You are one of my absolutely best youtubers ever. :)
Jsi borec. Mám moc rád tvoji tvorbu.
Funniest part of Rabsca was that I had one on my first team because of me making my first run all bug types. The one I forgot the most was Paldean Tauros because I didn’t even encounter a single one until I fought the gym teacher and even then it doesn’t stand out much
Considering I did not play any game between silver and y, I do still fondly remember seeking and granbul from the good old days of gen 1 and 2.
When he asks if Game Freak even added a pure water type to gen 4 and pulled up Lumineon, without even mentioning Floatzel, I knew he picked the wrong one.
12:44 it was in the Sword and Shield Pokedex, it was in the base Sword and Shield dex, not any DLCs
Mystic: I don't think there are any pure water types in gen 4
Floatzel line: Am I a joke to you?
I think Minior was more forgotten than Komala. We haven’t seen Minior since it’s release… except for New Pokemon Snap…
For Gen 5 its Maractus, I guess
Octillery is in my opinion more of a forgotten pokemon than Granbull will ever be. Comfey instead of komala too. And for Scrlet and Violet i would like to mention Squawkabilly, I only realized it exist when i wanted to complete the pokedex.
Didn’t Brock catch a Comfey?
"Pokemon that's just a fish"
Me: "What? Like Goldeen?"
Rabsca was my favorite new Pokémon. It’s a nice reference to khepri from Egyptian mythology. Revival blessing is also fitting since he was responsible to reviving Ra every morning.
I was attacked by so many of those sand snakes I could never forget them
I like Lumineon, this line is beautiful and has really cute cries, I really want to use it at one point
Veluza was such an aggravating encounter in gen 9 it was impossible to forget 🤣
Bit late to the party, but I was playing Pokemon Colosseum the other day and Politoed popped up on my opponent’s team and I *completely* forgot it existed. Anyway, great video as always 🧡
I love Lumineon and Chimecho, they’re both really cute!
i’m glad you didn’t use Maractus for Gen V because it’s become the face of “forgotten pokemon” to the point where most people remember that it exists
Very cool video, I don’t watch but I’ve seen this show
😢 lumineon is one of my favorites, don't ask me why.. I just feel like it'd be a good partner pokemon. I'd probably live in Alola
Honestly love Rellor and Rabsca too. But bug is my favorite type. Haha I love almost every Pokémon on this list lol
I remember Komala and Chimecho cuz they were very present in the anime. From those generations i would said that Delcatty and Bruxish are the most forgotten from their generations.
Skitty and Delcatty are well known by the PMD community for being busted in those games, so I'm hesitant to call them forgotten
@@JamesTheCelestial Gen 3 is a really hard gen to pick an forgotten Pokémon. You have so many big names in there and forgettable Pokémon that are remember for being forgettable.
I was saying Grumpig had Lumineon Syndrome & completely forgot about Delcatty existing!
Also for rabsca it’s one of those “evolve by taking thousands of steps” which causes people to drop them since it wastes time
Chimecho appeared in the anime a bunch I think, and if you do pokedex collecting it's pretty memorable due to being really a rare encounter.
11:47 I used one during one of my Sword/Shield play throughs. Why I did, I don’t remember. I didn’t put much thought into the team.
For gen 9, I’d say Dolliv is the most forgotten. In the sense that if you showed someone a picture they’d tell you “this… this evolves from smoliv, right?”
It is purely because Finneon and Lumineon are so forgettable that I remember them. I think they're really pretty!
I will say, a lot of mons are only forgettable due to the way they're presented. In New Pokemon Snap for example Luvdisc and Lumineon are far less forgettable (IMO).
As an Australian I'll never forget Komala.
I never forgot about Lumineon because it has a beautiful design and I won my first contest in Platinum with her. However,do wish Lumineon gets an evolution that looks like mix of Dragonair and Milotic just to buff her. Handdown one of my favorite water mon's.
Kalos had few new pokémon so they are all a pretty memorable bunch. Except barbaricle flip that
Throughout watching this video I realized that these probably are truly forgetten pokemon and I am just a nerd for remembering all of them
Kamala is def not forgettable in the anime. it knock the bell for the school nearly every episode, while also being the only pokemon that showed immunity to the invincible giggly puff lol
Bruh the jab at spidops had me cracking up
Love the video and keep up the great work
Anyone who's ever spent five seconds in Casseroya Lake will remember Veluza. And not in a good way.
