Thank you so much for this video! I am trying to build a "built-in" cabinet in my office closet and this video gave me so much clarity on how to plan. Also using the dowels for reinforced screw holes is genius. Probably adds years and years of life to the piece. Thank you!
Hello RJ, I rarely work with MDF, but I will be sure to remember your tip with the dowels for use with fasteners. It's always rewarding to make something for the nonpaying customers at home, isn't it? 😃
Brother, I really appreciate this video. It's very well done and resonated with me...thank you! Your subtle humour and references to the "little boss" had me smiling throughout. Looking forward to more from you sir.
Maan, you're awesome! Really nice skill level and an amazing sense of humor. And I'm currently in the middle of solving a similar task - going to redo the in-wall closet for my daughter. Great video - thank you from Montreal!
MDF can have a bad rep but for affordable projects that are going to be painted they can come out pretty awesome and it is very easy to cut. With good techniques like you demonstrated then projects can come out fairly strong. Very nice end result and a wardrobe your daughter can be proud of!
@@RJsShedShop Very true! I am finishing a MDF screen riser at the moment for a desk. The surface is starting to feel smooth as glass and it shines like a new car! It does take time and patience to get a great finish but its worth it
Thanks heaps. I am new to the whole woodworking and video editing thing I think plans will be some time away. Most plans are in my head and that is a mess lol.
The dowel additions for taking screws is a good idea,,I too do not really touch mdf , do not like the stuff. Seems to look okay for a while but things can go wrong after a while. Its like material used not to last and look great for a short while
Hi RJ, Enoyed your video as always! I've been curious about those depth gauges like the one you were using. Who makes that one and any comments about it. Thanks Tom Taipan Woodworks
That was great, you did a brilliant job for the 'boss'. I did smile when she gave you that hug, priceless!
Thanks, its great doing projects for family.
A nice combination of low cost material and quality joinery techniques 👍
Thanks mate.
They are always the best projects something simple that brings a smile to their face and to know they will remember that you made it for them.
Its very satisfying making something for anyone that appreciates it. Thanks for watching.
Very classic and pretty!! What a great dad 😊❤️ I bet she will treasure it for many years to come!!
Thankyou so much.
The hug at the end is the best part!
Yep, you cant beat that.
You are the sweetest dad!! 😊 That wardrobe looks great!!
Thanks.

Awesome, glad I could help out. Best of luck.
Like the idea with the dowels 👍🏻
Thanks, certainly strengthens up the MDF .
Tip for working with mdf: polyurethane glue works best for mdf since it has no water content to swell the grain.
Cool build!
Excellent, thanks bro.
Another cool video. I like your sense of humour. Great build
Thanks heaps

Thanks. Nothing wrong with MDF when painted.

Certainly isn't my first choice in material. Thanks for watching.

The one I am using is made by Milescraft , super cheap and super handy. It is a go to tool for me. Thanks
What a lovely daddy you are 💜
Thanks, I do my best. Its always nice to make for someone especially family.
Nice build! Do you remember how many sheets of MDF you used?
Thanks champ, 2.5 sheets.
Hi mate, what angle do you use for the bevel?
45 champ, thanks for watching.
Friend What Is The Brand
Of Your Table Saw ???
Is Goo To Say The Brand And
Model Of Your Tools You
Are Using Always.
Thank You For The Video.
Thankyou. Sherwood 10'' table saw.
How did the paint finish look on the edges ?
Really good, just sand them super smooth and I just used a water based undercoat and enamel and it turned out great. It is that simple.
What is the size and hight of the mdf
Sorry champ for the late response. I used 20mm MDF for the main carcass and 12mm for the trim. The wardrobe is L x W x H , 750mm x 550mm x 2000mm.
Nice project, but not for amateurs. You must have tools over 5K to do this result.
Thanks, I am lucky to have many tools, however this could be done with the very basic.
super easy????
Easy as, thanks for watching.
Lol "super easy" as long as you have a workshop to build it
