I include the type of information that I find useful myself, so I’m glad you’ve found it useful too. I’d definitely recommend you visit Gozo during your trip to Malta!
@@ShimonMeetsWorld yes it’s still beautiful! Arrived on Tuesday and nothing has changed😂 just been to xlendi bay and it’s beautiful still. The roads are still awful tho ssooo bumpy 🤣
I’m not surprised, because it’s very underrated and a bit of a hidden gem - but it’s honestly such a beautiful place and well worth visiting. Thanks for watching!
just a small comment, blue grotto has nothing to do with Inland sea in Dwejra. Blue grotto is in Zurrieq (Malta) and is a must visit too. Inland sea will take you to the remains of Azure window :)
Ah yes, my mistake - thank you for pointing out! Dwejra has a Blue Grotto (small cave), but not THE Blue Grotto. I never actually got to check out Blue Grotto in Zurrieq, so definitely will do next time I’m in Malta!
Ta Pinu was built after Saint Mary spoke to Karmni Grima (a woman from Għarb) in the 1800s. Before the big church, there was a little chapel in its place. Once (over 400yrs ago), a man named Pinu used to check up chapels and demolish them if they are no longer good for use. The Ta' Pinu chapel (previously Ta' Ġentili) was going to be demolished, but when the first worker started breaking the rock, his arm broke. This was viewed as a message from St Mary, and the chapel was kept and named Ta' Pinu. (Btw "ta'" means "of" and "Ta' Pinu" means "Of Pinu")
Thank you so much for watching! Yes, we didn’t actually rent a car when visiting. It’s definitely useful to rent a car; but there are a lot of narrow, bendy roads in Gozo so another thing to think about
Hi Shimon, where can we find the round trip boats for the three cities boat tour? I find them online for 36 euro pp. Where to find the cheap 2,50 boats? Thanks in advance ;)
Hi, thanks for the question! ‘Get your Guide’ has cheaper tours around €20, so I’d recommend checking their website, or alternatively you can book with a street vendor once in Malta. You can always negotiate on the price then
@@Vertymos I personally reserved before as it can be quite an early start, and there’s a risk of tickets being sold out. Definitely possible on the day though if you prefer the flexibility

Great video and so helpful as we're planning to visit in September. Where did you base yourself on Gozo and how did you find getting to all of these spots without a rental car? Did you take the bus or tours?
Thanks for watching! September is a great time to visit. We only went there for a day trip from Valletta, but I’m sure there are a few hotels or especially AirBnBs available on the island. We were initially going to rent a car, but had a good deal for a tour bus that took us to all the places we wanted to go, so figured that was the best option for us
I agree Andrea. Gozo is so peaceful and naturally beautiful and I’m even (gladly) surprised it’s not swarming with tourists. Although I do think far more people need to visit and experience the beauty of Gozo
I prefer that it stays as it is :)) there'd even better beaches than the ones mentioned here but they're hidden from tourists and I keep them to myself :))
Definitely recommend renting a car if you can. If you’re short for time or don’t want to drive on winding roads you can always go on the open top bus tour which will take you to the key places in Gozo

Number 1 goes for Ġgantija Xagħra. I agree Xagħra is the best village in Gozo.
