We love your friend !! Hope we see him more in these future videos !! Love hearing these stories of you two. Great chemistry together as well. Now I am hungry. Time to eat my breakfast.
This was such an enjoyable video to watch. The food looks good and for solo travellers like me, the perfect place to try many things without having to over order! Your friend is funny too - he's like your wingman lol
U said u were chubby when u were little. Then u work out a lot & keep to yourself. Some people can be really mean. I'm glad you shared your stories 💕 & happy that you are happy...
Ooooh so that means that guy… so my friend who is Korean invited me to hang out couple years ago with her Korean friends and one of the guys tried to feed me the bbq and I was like uhhhh and then he turned red I just took it from his hands. SO YOU MEAN HE LIKED ME?!!!!!!!! WHY DO ASIAN MEN NOT JUST SPEAK UP
It is really nice to hear you talk. Honestly besides food content, I wouldn't mind hearing you talk about anything related to Korea. It could be mundane things like what grocery shopping is like, how you get around by bus, the expansive and confusing subway system. I'm sure many will also be interest to hear your take on the current trends in dating, fashion music and so on.
I have not been back to Korea since 2019. I can see how amazing it looks. I will come back to Korea and then I will visit that restaurant. Thank you from Canada!!
Prices are high everywhere it seems. I dont go to buffets here in my hometown. Where I used to live there was a soup and salad buffet that was reasonable. I'm like you. I need my meats. Thats where you get your money's worth! Thanks for sharing!
Hmm, I’m actually thinking of going to VIPs in Korea because I heard their salad bar is good now, and because their wine selection is unlimited free refills but maybe I should try buffets like these ones!
this video was very fun to watch felt more personal since you were open with your friend. not to say you aren’t in your other videos but it felt different this time
i study where the first buffet is, infact live right above the restaurant. But the 7000 one feels more like home cooked food and genuine with love compared to the other one.
Good video Jimmy. Honestly I prefer this video with your friend than any of the girls you bring. Yes, I get the girls are cute and all the shipping but with your old friend you seem more ..real? There is a good friendship and it is nice to witness.
I wish I had Korean friends. I'm studying the language on my own and I have nobody to practice with. I would love to learn Korean over a meal like this one.
Those chicken breast packages are life savers. You just need to pop them in the microwave for 2 mins and boom 22g of protein. I usually eat 6-7 packs of those a week.
That is a really good price for the food they have. Here in America most buffets are between 15-18 dollars and the food quality is good but not very good lol
16:40 that actually the wrong way to pour beer. You're supposed to pour it directly so that it'll foam up. The reason you want your beer to foam up is to release the carbonation from the beer itself and also to release it's fragrance. If you pour it while tilted and then you drink it the carbonation gets released inside your stomach which will make you burp even more than normal. Also a foamy beer is part of the beer drinking experience
Finally found a Korean on UA-cam who knows their table manners! I'm a Korean dude, and yeah, slurping is definitely considered super rude in Korean dining etiquette. But thanks to mukbangs (maybe to hype things up?), a lot of people misunderstand and think it's okay to slurp-but it's totally not. Appreciate you demonstrating proper Korean table manners! (Even though holding the plates up isn't allowed either! But I'll assume it was for the sake of the video.)
@@Murasame Yeah, that makes sense. Korea’s dining etiquette was recorded in the mid-12th century in the Samguk Sagi. Meanwhile, in the West, people were still considered barbarians, and as far as dining manners go, it was basically just “don’t stab others with your fork and knife,” or so they say. Just kidding, westerners didn't even have forks and knives on their table until few centuries later except very few noble people.
@@Murasame Since you seem Japanese, Criticising slurping may have rubbed you the wrong way, but honestly, slurping is pretty gross. The soup splashes everywhere, and the sound is just unbearable.
@@MyronChoe Okay, well, first of all, even in the 8th-9th century under Charlemagne, people had refined table behavior, including respect for others, cleanliness, and decorum. Next, although forks were not commonly used in medieval times, spoons and knives were widely available much earlier. You trying to claim that Koreans have not been influenced by the West is nonsense. Western table etiquette gradually influenced Korea over time, starting as a novelty among the elite during the Korean Empire and spreading more widely through Japan's occupation, American influence after the Korean War, and globalization in recent decades. Europeans were creating Gothic cathedrals while Koreans were eating dogs. (you went there)
@@Murasame In France, dog meat consumption was recorded primarily in the late 19th century, particularly during the 1870 Franco-Prussian War when Paris faced severe food shortages. Reports mention butcher shops selling dogs, cats, and rats, and even cookbooks featuring dog meat recipes. By 1910, a dedicated dog meat butcher shop reportedly opened, with photographic evidence. In Joseon Korea, Sasojol by Yi Deok-mu (1741-1793) is a key text detailing dining etiquette, including advice like not making noise when eating soup or noodles and not stirring rice to cool it. Another text, Sohak, also outlines various dining manners within the framework of Confucian teachings.
I love your videos and anytime you have a friend with you to enjoy the food with and give Uncle Jimmy back stories 😂 absolutely fantastic videos, Thank you for sharing your experiences with us 🙏

It is so expensive that things seems cheap in Korea, at least while I was there 3 months ago. 10,000 won for McD is $7.20. Inthe US, you are looking at $15.
