Kak Ayu was my ex f&b manager few years back 😭 can’t believe I got to watch her in a video. Trust me, she is as lovely as she was in the video. Thank you ichang and Jimmy. Will pay a visit to her restaurant soon. ❤

The benchmark for a Malay restaurant is when there are Chinese customers eating & buying, not for being cheap but the dishes hits their (Chinese customers) taste buds right. Chinese customers are a stickler for great food when it comes to Malay cooking. First time I see a Malay restaurant with kuah banjir, a good mixture of coconutty, sweet, sour & spicy dishes. Jimmy can actually ask kak Ayu for extra gravy in a small bowl so that you can just slurp from it without the need to use spoon😂😂. Quallys is on my next wishlist when I go back to Penang. Tq iChang & Jimmy for featuring this restaurant in your video.

I'm proud of her. She manage to survive the pandemic. Although she began at late 2019 and facing two year of hard year. She's here. I understand how hard is it to survive with business when pandemic. Mine almost collapse..and now I'm struggling to work hard to make mine stand still even though I'm facing another challenge. This video is inspiring.. Thanks alot I Chang n Jimmy. @@nasirramli3601 It's salmon fish. I know the price. It's not cheap. I used to buy salmon at RM20 per kg years back but it's more than double now. One piece could be sold around RM15 to RM20 if I'm not wrong. I'll find out when I go there next week

After such horrible previous experience with the toilet, glad you found a clean place like this. I love how clean the kitchen is. Usually people who cook so many dishes have trouble keeping the kitchen clean, but this one, A++. Hope Kak Ayu can prosper and continue doing business for a long time.

I love the passion Kak Ayu show towards the food she cook. Dia make sure fresh dan berkualiti bahan masakannya. Congratulations Kak Ayu you are doing a great job. One day when I visit Penang I will visit Kak Ayu shop.
I tried the ayam rendang belimbing buluh and ayam percik. Loved it. The spirit of home cooking permeates the food. Restaurant is clean too. For those who dont know the ayam percik is a staple but the other dishes change according to what’s available at the market that morning.
You know the food are splendid when Chinese customers are eating there..normally the Chinese will choose what they eat properly and make sure its worth it..
Kak ayu goes for quality instead of quantity... The Ayam Percik is to die for.. haven't tried salmon masak lemak before... Will go and find this restaurant..

@@myvySE To get fresh santan is not easy in the middle of Georgetown, and if there is, it must be expensive...Kara santan is good as well. It is just the santan...everything else is fresh in her dishes.

This goona be in the bucket list for my upcoming trip. Suprisingly the menu is extensive and adventurous which is beyond expectation. Everything look good. There's nothing like homecooked food cooked with ♥️. Thank you IChang for the recommendation.
if you're still in penang do visit Bayan Lepas night market (every saturday) it's heaven there you can try every penang dish with affordable price. Don't forget nasi dalca bawang ;)
