Not a bad list, very surprised there is no Old Overholt 10 yr Rye and Old Forrester Rye🤔

Haven't had the Old Overholt 10 yet. Not sure if its been released in my area yet, but a pour I want to try at a bar eventually. I tried to limit the list to 2023 releases, so that limited the old forester base products.

if you like ryes that drink more like bourbon, try the Old Overholt 10yr Cask Strength Rye. Drums & Drams did a comparison with the PH rye that you can check out

Great list! Those are all fantastic Ryes and some I wish I had myself! Just wondering, how were you able to do the multiple tastings with a small 1 oz samples to determine the winner? I couldn't do it myself and had to leave all samples from my whiskey of the year lists. Maybe I need to take smaller sips 😆. Thanks for the video!

Thanks! I've actually found when I do blinds with 1oz plus pours, I normally have a ton left over that I need to find a way to save. Plus given all the pours, If I did full pours, my taste buds would be blown out at the end. With the smaller pours, you have to be more decisive and mission oriented with each sip. But I never felt like I didn't have enough in this blind to make my decision.

@@BourbonRetriever Got it! Makes sense. I guess I need to reduce the size of by sips! 😆. Most 1oz samples are gone in 2 "sips" or gulps I guess 😂
