Great video. Really cool to see the socal, especially the OC whiskey scene represented on UA-cam.
That Murray Hill Club Special Release for 189.99 is less than msrp and would have been a buy in my book. Such an amazing pour.
Been waiting to see someone who hunts around southern cali. You def have got a new subscriber!
Heck yeah! Thank you so much for watching and subscribing😊🥃
Same
Damn great finds and great prices! A Stagg in Texas is $250 Elmer T. Lee $350.
OF single barrel for $80 is a killer deal - woulda gotten two
Definitely the best price we’ve seen!
Our Costco pick was 69.99
Passed on that Bakers 13 😮
Fun to see a hunting video at a lot of my usual stomping grounds! I’m a Barrell Seagrass rye fan and have heard the Grey label is not worth it. I’ve had Old Potrero before and it’s very funky, it was a drain pour for some of my friends. Good scores! I’m a big fan of Lucky1 Stagg pick and all the picks Corked on Stearns do (their Weller Full Proof pick is one of my all time favorites). Cheers!
Thanks for the tip on Old Portrero! We’ll hold off on getting a bottle until we have a taste. Completely agree with you on the Stagg, and we love finding stores with good palates. Cheers!
Great haul. Good stuff. I'm fairly new to whiskey but I recently had a friend let me try their Stagg and it was so good I think my knees went a little weak.
Gotta love Stagg! We were super excited to get that bottle for a good price. Thank you for watching and cheers! 🥃
Check out the Fortuna Cask strength in the blue label, its a Rare Character bottle thats worth trying
Nice to see some hunting in Southern California! I have found some good stuff at Lucky 1 Liquor and the owner has always been super great. Glad I found your video and definitely subscribing to see more!
He’s the best! Thank you for watching and subscribing! Happy to have another viewer from Southern California😊
If you have a chance to pick up the Lucky1 ECBP Private Selection (Last time I was there they had several cases still), I'd pick it up. My favorite expression of ECBP I've had
You have to go check out Mesa foods and liquor in Rancho Santa Margarita owner Leo is amazing and a large variety of Whiskey.
We’ll add it to the list, thanks for the tip!
Great job! Love seeing what different areas have to offer!!
Great hunting video!
New subscriber here. Congrats on the haul.
Thank you! We’ve been loving trying everything we got! Cheers😊🥃
Scotch smokhead. High voltage
Corbin Cash rye is one of the best ryes I have ever had. if you can find a single barrel pick it up put the 1917 is amazing
We keep hearing great things about them in the comments! We’ll be looking for a single barrel ASAP 🥃
I love the hunting videos I'm in SoCal and love the tips you gave. Cheers!
That Smokeye Hill BP at 20:23 is getting all the hype right now...
Yeah we’ve been seeing it a lot lately and thought about picking it up. Have you tried it?
New subscriber here from Vegas. Nice haul!
Thank you! We really appreciate your support😊🙏
If ur looking for Elmer in Vegas, there is a liquor store off Durango by ikea, area between sunset and Russell, that have it, I been looking for eagle rare here tho
Nice. I was nearly in this video! :)
Hope you’re enjoying your Stagg! 😊
Dimension Liquors has it going on. Old Forester 1924, High West Prisoners share, Knob creek 15, etc just sitting on the shelf. Interested to know the prices on those
They have a great selection, and their prices are pretty reasonable!
Ck out Hi Proof in Fullerton
i was at HiProof yesterday. Man, part of me don't want to share this hidden gem (for obvious reasons), but they have best prices in town. Hi Proof and Hi Times are the two best socal stores.
What days of the week do you usually go to these stores? I’m in the South Bay and wrote down the stores you guys posted. Also, where do they post the drops? Lots of these places don’t have websites. Keep up the great work!
Thanks you! 🙏
We don’t really have a specific day we go hunting, but almost all of the stores have Instagrams where they post their drops. Otherwise, holidays are best for special deals like the Stagg!
Came across your channel and subbed! The Corbin Cash 1917 and Smokeye Hill are fantastic. 👌 Corked Stearns has some amazing picks and the Russell's Reserve pick is a buy. Great content and cheers! 🤙
We’ll have to give the Corbin Cash a try next time then! Thank you for recs and for watching! We really appreciate it😊
Where does Nady's post updates, never seen anything from them
On their Instagram!
New SoCal sub here. (Hello neighbor) Enjoying the content. Keep up the good work!! * Cheers *
Hey neighbor! Thank you so much for watching and subscribing😊
Great video!
Thanks so much for watching!😊
SUBCRIBE I LIKE COUPLES HUNTING BOURBON .. AND BOTH OF YOU LOOK HAPPY
LA boy glad to have another Socal station
Heck yes! Happy to see hear from another SoCal supporter🥃 Cheers and thanks for watching!
At the last place, you cruised right past the Smoke Eye Hill Blue Corn that people are buzzing about
We’ve heard a lot about it, but haven’t bought a bottle yet! Have you tried it?
Barrel Seagrass gold label has been marked down to $200 a few times in my area. The Grey Label has been down at $100. Distributors are clearing their inventory of Barrel products and they are under real financial problems... if you like their stuff you might want to stock up. I think they will be a dusty before long.
That’s great! Haven’t quite seen it that low in our area yet, but we’d love to pay 200 for the Gold! Yeah, we’ll see what happens with all of that, but hopefully they survive🙏
Idk where in So Cal you guys are but there’s a spot by me on the LA and OC border that has JD 10 year for $99
Where at? That’s definitely in our range!

Leaving Weller FP pick behind for a 179$ bundle is wild imo. I would have bought a case. 4R sbbp too for 100, take a case. Jack 10 also a great deal. South Cali is off the chain
Great review… Your wife is too cute and full of energy. I found most of your haul in Oregon at retail
Awesome, thanks for watching!
Nice haul! If you find OF SB Rye closer to 100 - worth it. You both do great vids 👍
Thank you! That sounds like a fair price to us, now we just have to find one!😂🥃
Wilderness trail is very good, they have a low barrel entry proof. Makes for an amazing wheat whiskey. Old potrero is 100% malted rye, very unique bottle, also worth trying as I can't even name another 100% malted rye bottle. It's a crazy profile. The bakers 7 with the "old label" is the small batch. It's far superior to the new one which is a single barrel. If you are beam fans I also highly recommend trying OGD bonded and old tub. Both very worthy bottles to be on someone's shelf
We’ll definitely add Wilderness Trail and Old Portrero to our hunting list! Thanks for all the good tips 🥃
I'm local to So Cal also and will have to check some of these spots out. Any recommendations for good whiskey bars in the area? Haven't been able to find one yet
Sauced BBQ in Orange and Tustin has a pretty good selection! We’re on the lookout for more bar options though
Try Av Liquor and Jr mart in Lancaster ca
Good eye on that Alberta Cask Strength Rye. Believe it or not, there's a Binny's in Rockford, Illinois, selling them wholesale for $30/each. I grabbed two! Great value!
We would grab two, too! It’s an awesome bottle no one talks about 🥃
Wonder if they still stagg at cosmo liquor. Been looking for months😅wanting to get my 1st bottle
They sold out at the special price, but they may have more for a higher price. I’d try calling some stores and see if anyone has it for a reasonable price! Good luck, cheers! 🥃
Corbin Cash ryes are fantastic. The 1917 is very good but their single barrel store picks are insane. I was in San Antonio last year and Weller SR is everywhere. I bought a 1.75 L bottle of it for $42 lol.
Thanks for the tip! We’ll keep an eye out for a single barrel then. Congrats on the score!
@@TheWhiskeyBreak El Cerrito Liquor in Corona has a lot of store picks. He gets the Corbin Cash ones from time to time. He also has a lot of scotch and tequila picks if that’s your thing. The store has a lot of good stuff.
Damn, I need to go back to so-cal to hunt. So many bottle y’all passed up on that I would if bought. Shout out from BAMA.
Thanks for watching! Which bottles would you have snagged? We’re really lucky with the selection we have here, hope you can take a trip soon!
I like how you went to Cosmo's then you went to dimensions are we going somewhere with this? Are you going to a bourbon portal right now? You got me going through it okay I love it
If we go into the multiverse, we’ll be sure to film it! 😂
Could you give me the address of those stores i saw the video but can't copy the address thanks
That you would casually dismiss Four Gate to search for tater level Buffalo Trace products tells me all I need to know.
As much as I love four gate. It’s for sure over prices. I would take take 3 stagg at MSRP(or 2 at 100) over one FG.
Check out hitimes in Costa Mesa
That’s actually our favorite store! We have tons of their picks, and we’ll have to film a hunt there soon!
@@TheWhiskeyBreak make sure to hit the clearance rack I scored a couple bottles of whiskey row 100proof for 15$
@@TheWhiskeyBreak do you think there might be another Stagg where you picked yours up?
Yes, definitely! We got the same Whiskey Row bottle for $15 actually! And unfortunately they only had 3 Staggs that morning we were there and we watched them all get bought.
Stcosashle
Burp😊
How much was that prisoners share ?
It was 270, just a bit more than we’re willing to pay! Would you have picked it up? 🥃
Dang you missed a really great liquor store across the street from dimensions
Which store is that? We can stop by next bourbon hunt! 😊
Next time stop by grapepress, cypress liquor, el cerrito
Also mr KS Placentia
Thanks for the suggestions! We’ll check them out
@@TheWhiskeyBreak the exact store was Sam's liquor on lake forest
Man, Dimension Liquor having Pappy bottles on their side, slowly disintegrating the cork into the whiskey (if not already) is a travesty.
Sucks that Corked on Stearns didn't get their Russell's pick that day (they were supposed to), a 9 year Camp Nelson. Ended up coming the following Monday. Still available at the store or online.
Let me know if you guys want to try any Driftless Glen. I'm originally from Wisconsin and grab stuff whenever I visit. Currently have 6, including their most recent distillery exclusive cherry liqueur finished bourbon. Have other bottles from Wisconsin distillers that are quite different from Kentucky (J Henry, Wollersheim, Central Standard, 45th Parallel).
Yeah, the Pappy bottles were rough. Thanks for the tip on the Russell’s pick! We might grab a bottle next time we’re in the area. And that’s awesome! We’ve been interested in trying Driftless Glen, but didn’t know where to start. We might have to get in touch to do some sample sharing soon!
Thanks for watching! Again, it was really nice to meet you!
13601 Apple Valley Rd, Apple Valley, CA 92308.
They have good stuff
