    I came for the chicken balls, stayed, and binge watched for Choo! Your mum's an utter treasure!
    The first meal I ever ate at a Chinese Restaurant was pork, gravy and crispy noodles. My go-to at my local takeaway is special crispy noodles and gravy.
    Love, love, love crispy noodles! Thank you for sharing! 😍

      What a genuinely lovely comment to read! Me and mum work together and we wouldn't be so capable of cooking together if we didn't get on and have a laugh, don't get me wrong, when we argue we really argue, but that is a rarity and 20 seconds later we're laughting about it

    Help us self publish our book, because we're nobodies we cant get a publishing company to look twice at us. To self publish our book is going to cost alot, as to get them at a resonable price to be able to sell we have to print in the thounsands. If you'd like to support the channel and help us achieve this goal a small donation would really help us reach it. I had a go at this one tonight. I used noodles from Morrison’s; yea I know. They took for ever to go crispy. I think I had too many in the pan and the oil wasn’t hot enough, but we got there. I had no prawns, so cooked up some chicken breast, chopped and marinaded in soy, shaoshing and cornflour for 20 mins. For veg I used just what I had in the fridge: Chinese cabbage and carrot. I also used ordinary chestnut mushrooms. I substituted home made chicken stock for the water too. The rest of the sauce was exactly as you demonstrated.
    It was delicious and I’ll be doing it again. I took a photo which I’ll try to send to you.

    Awesome videos Mum and Son..!! :) You guys deserve to do very well........Just one question...what kind of wok/brand are you using?....seems like a thicker cast iron style one....do you use this because it retains the heat better?....

    • @ZiangsFoodWorkshop
      @ZiangsFoodWorkshop  5 років тому +2

      yes, its a wok they don't make any more but if you look in our links there all the woks we recommend, the closet to what we and we have used them so we know there pretty good :) and thank you for the kind words :)

    • @lagathy
      @lagathy 5 років тому

      Thanks for reply ) k..y,i've checked out the link...gulp,99 quid!....you think it's worth getting the cast iron then for better heat distribution and getting closer to that wok hei factor from a home stove ?...(i've got a couple of carbon steel woks already) ??

    • @ZiangsFoodWorkshop
      @ZiangsFoodWorkshop  5 років тому

      iron holds the heat, but most of the time we cook with that cheap jamie oliver wok, we only use the cast iron for dry dishes like noodles or rice :)

    First time I've watched one of your vids, followed a link from the UK loves Chinese Takeaway - DIY facebook group. Brilliant, and your mum is cool, I'm 55 now but if when I was younger I had a mate with a mum like yours, I'd always be round your house! With age also comes wisdom (chinese proverb?) and I can see your mum is the brains in that outfit ;)
