Thank God I'm not in that situation anymore and learned alot and about different kinds of mental disorders. I pray for Seath's parents and family and friends!! That was awful!!! there's a word for it in cognitive psychology. it's called _subliminal perception._
there's this story my old man told me when i was a kid - a man is driving home from work. he's new to the area and the road he usually takes home is under construction. he takes a detour. the road he's on now is old and unfamiliar, he'd never been this way before. it's dark. there's a colossal pothole right in the middle of the road and, as if by some premonition, he'd already swerved the pothole by the time he noticed it was there.
man thinks he's psychic. really, he just saw the tail lights of the car ahead of him swerve and, having been driving for twenty-some years, he subconsciously understood that it must've been because there was some kind of obstruction in the road.
if you meet someone and something just _doesn't feel right,_ it may be because you're subconsciously recognizing something potentially dangerous. something you've seen in life, on TV, or read about in a book, in the news - your subconscious recognized _something_ ugly that it had seen before and raised some alarms.

I was in the back on the courthouse, near the inmate holding area, when Amber and Kyle were brought back. They were sat in side by side cells, Amber was saying she was excited for prison, she had already started to have “relationships” with fellow inmates while incarcerated. She was giggling and super talkative, Kyle cried silently for a bit, until he finally spoke up, yelled at her (I can’t remember the exact quote) something about “Don’t you get it? We are going to spend the rest of our lives locked up?!?!” He was crying about how he was too young, and etc.
She just watched him while he yelled, and when he seemed done she just turned back to the girl she was talking to, continuing her conversation about how much better the prison would be, as compared to the county jail.
I hope it was nothing like she wanted.

I agree that the mother bears partial responsibility for the current state of her children, who face the grim prospect of spending the remainder of their lives behind bars due to their involvement in a murder. It is possible that their parole review could be indefinitely denied. Nevertheless, it is essential to consider whether it is fair to solely blame Kyle and Amber's mother, given that some teenagers who come from troubled backgrounds or have neglectful parents possess enough common sense to recognize the inherent wrongness of murder. Kyle had the opportunity to alter his course of action regarding the plan to kill Seath at any given moment, yet he chose not to. He repeatedly expressed his desire for Seath's death to the detective, even going so far as to express his satisfaction with the outcome. This, of course, was a stupid move, particularly when being interrogated by a detective in the presence of cameras. However, Kyle's naivety led him to speak his true feelings, as he believed the detective would provide assistance.

This is one of the most vile cases I've heard of and I have followed many. I agree that the key person who made the murder possible was Amber. Without her sick desire to lure Seath to a vicious death, this likely would not have happened, She may not have physically assaulted Seath but she is just as guilty as her loser "boyfriend."
On a different note, I was shocked to read the messages between Amber and Seath. They were both such poor writers and had serious illiteracy issues (horrendous spelling and grammar). Their writing looked like the level of a kindergartner. I think this speaks to likely absenteeism in school and lack of oversight by parents and possibly teachers. That 15/16 year olds were spending their days smoking pot, playing videos and driving around with guns certainly points to a serious problem among the youth of this small town. Children and young teens need guidance, attention and positive role models. They need places to go and channel their energy in positive ways. So many problems among this group of youth points to a systemic failure in the town and locality to help them grow up to be successful and not plotting a horrific murder!

I live in SE GA and it's definitely no different. In my small town there's a whole lotta juveniles that post online about drinking and doing drugs, and sometimes, like the drama happening between Seath and Amber, you have people getting into fights over cheating, boyfriends, baby daddies, etc. and they would be in literal MIDDLE school. It's really sad how these are just kids and they're already throwing their own lives away, not to mention the full grown adults involved in these kinda things are absolutely no better.

I have 2 little boys. My greatest fear is being the mother on either side of this situation. I cannot imagine the pain, the fear, or any of the emotions felt by Seth and his family. Or for the other family, the shock of your own children willing to carry out such a disgusting act of violence and torture.
Im scared for my children coming across their own demons one day...
The fears of keeping your child safe, while also letting them make their own decisions in life is going to be the hardest part of my job...
This makes me just want to cuddle them even when I'm mad at them... I just can't get over how horrible this is.

The authorities had better catch whoever did whatever to our babies before we do. Incidentally I'm more of the mindset of swift justice in that regard than the missus; She's downright brutal in her imaginings.
She's Native American. It reminded me of the stories of settlers in the old West saying that you can be thankful if braves take you out because if they hand you over to the women you aren't going out with any peace. If was enough to give me goosebumps!
I still wonder on the morality of it all. Whether even discussing something like that makes us bad or depraved people. Still I imagine a girl pulling this off on my son, using his feelings for her as a lure to have him killed by her new boyfriend & it makes my blood boil!

Raging hormones, crippling insecurities, status among friend groups and all the issues plaguing teenage years, I can honestly say murder did not register as a problem solving means in our brains at that age. Sulking, not talking and wild accusations were more our style; the usual petty ways of demonstrating our disapproval. The wildest thing happening in our friend group was one girl threatening her ex with an unloaded gun. He managed to take it off her and finally was honest about the cause of the break up. They talked all night, which cleared the air and helped her come to terms with reality of their relationship ending. Nobody died.

I'm of the opinion that children are still learning and their frontal lobe ( part of the brain responsible for reasoning and impulse control) isn't developed fully, therefore I won't label a child a racist. He was young, impulsive, and lacking in reasoning like all kids his age. All kids do dumb stuff as teens that as adults we would be held to a different standard. It's silly to write of a 15 year old as a racist as they still have a capacity to learn right from wrong.
