Venom and Spider-Man 3 has to change it up a lot. It just cant be swing around picking up items in between story missions. Spider-Man 2 was great, but it was way to much of the same.
The Amazing Spider Man had a mechanic to stay in the middle of a spider web that can extend the spider sense as a radar as well not just dodge mechanic theres lots of mechanics to be added or made as lifting objects to hit enemies with and so on more fludi gadget usage more villains to fight more Black Cat more other stuff

We'll I'm personally against Harry Osborn being Venom again, I admit having Harry as Venom serve as a antagonist and final boss for Marvels Spider-Man was a acceptable move, but to have Venoms own game star Harry as his host instead of someone who actually was Venom in the comics would just be a middle finger to well over the vast majority of fans of the character, plus Harry coming out of that coma would ruin Norman Osborns motivation for going after Spider-Man.

In fact kinda worse in the sense that they buy studios to then cancel the PlayStation versions of those games, recent examples; Indiana Jones, Starfield, Redfall. Now based on the finished product of 2 of those 3, I think playstation users were spared some poor games. Sony negotiating likely comes down to their install base vs xbox. Spiderman and his marvel heroic friends had to come together to stop the threat and send the alien symbiotes back home. Venom would go deeper and better with showing us stories about not just Venom. Carnage his sister Scream, Riot, Hybrid and the others all involved, in standing with Venom or opposing him. Spiderman will be involved, in this game too helping Venom deal with his symbiote family.

Ok so as a huge fan of multiple versions of venom heres what i have to say. The gameplay for venom in marvels spiderman 2 is absolutely terrible. Marvels Venom technically died according to commenters who like to ruin things with spoilers, and no that's not what im doing. If youre reading this comment you already spoiled the entire game for yourself most likely. We already have a venom game that aged well, called Ultimate Spiderman. A venom game with death would never be made by insomniac they wouldnt get permission to make a 18+ game ( its angering how so many immature kids who seem to be overly happy psychopaths even are allowed to play 18+ games thats literally child abuse. ) No one actually wants a venom game, they think they do. The only venom depicted with organic web swinging is the awesome venom from Spiderman 3, which only had the wrong actor cast to be eddie brock. Personally, i want a prototype reboot or a prototype 3. Take everything the first 2 games did right, and add more to it, some ability customization and get the people who did devil may cry 5 to work on it. Then give it some basic character customization, mostly being focused on what your transaction state looks like. Then have some basic game modes like co op for story, pvp, and take over the area modes for online. Marvels spiderman ruined his web swinging by coloring the synthetic webs black for literally no good reason. It doesnt look like tendril swinging it looks like incorrectly colored webs. Im really anticipating project mugen, but i dont think they have the right idea for it. Vehicle camera is humorously high, the locomotion system looks overly automated and lacking skill, the web swinging is completely wrong that's spidermans thing. If they did that game right, it could easily be the new number 1 played game that gets anime content from other official merchandise especially if it has better combat than jump force. Now, i dont know how well that could be done with project mugen but i know based on devil may cry 5 and prototype 1 and 2 that a prototype 3/reboot, could absolutely be successful. And it would be arguably better than a venom game with some trademark violence. Its a well liked i.p. and it would seem fresh for a lot of gamers. If they allow the ability to customize the character ( as in mostly the transformation state ) players could mimic venom and be much more satisfied with gameplay. Its still a version of new york, and with prototype 2, they did introduce a large infected island and 2 different containerd islands. Combat, locomotion, graphics, gunplay, stealth, could all be improved. Add some basic building destruction similar to red faction guerilla, and combat in the red zone ( the infected island) would become epic. A venom game seems like it would be a knock off prototype game, and if it doesnt allow symbiot customization with different types such as strength based speed based, male, female, then i dont honestly care. We already got enough bad venom gameplay in marvels spiderman 2 and Ultimate spiderman was decent for its time. Personally, i dont even care about a new wolverine game. Id rather get a phenomenal spawn game in Detroit, or prototype 3/reboot. Marvels spiderman 2 also needs to fix the black web swinging, its lame.
I just don't want Miles Morales to be the main part of the story and just let him be a side man. I mean I'm mixed raced but Miles pisses me of moaning like a bit*h. " Oh hey Pete, how come you don't talk to me no more?" Because of harry came back in Pet's life. The Spiderverse Miles is ok but not Marvel's Spider-Man 1-2 and Miles Morales ffs.
Personally, I don't think I'll be buying this Venom game. The way they handled Venom in Spider-Man 2 basically killed any interest I had in seeing the future of his character in this universe that Insomniac are building. Maybe the DLC can change that, by course correcting HARD but at this point who knows?

We'll I'm personally against Harry Osborn being Venom again, I admit having Harry as Venom serve as a antagonist and final boss for Marvels Spider-Man was a acceptable move, but to have Venoms own game star Harry as his host instead of someone who actually was Venom in the comics would just be a middle finger to well over the vast majority of fans of the character, plus Harry coming out of that coma would ruin Norman Osborns motivation for going after Spider-Man.

In fact kinda worse in the sense that they buy studios to then cancel the PlayStation versions of those games, recent examples; Indiana Jones, Starfield, Redfall. Now based on the finished product of 2 of those 3, I think playstation users were spared some poor games. Sony negotiating likely comes down to their install base vs xbox. And nintendo would just hold back the games as the system wouldn't allow for certain gameplay mechanics. My point is, all the companies do it.

Spiderman and his marvel heroic friends had to come together to stop the threat and send the alien symbiotes back home. Venom would go deeper and better with showing us stories about not just Venom. Carnage his sister Scream, Riot, Hybrid and the others all involved, in standing with Venom or opposing him. Spiderman will be involved, in this game too helping Venom deal with his symbiote family.

Ok so as a huge fan of multiple versions of venom heres what i have to say.
The gameplay for venom in marvels spiderman 2 is absolutely terrible.
Marvels Venom technically died according to commenters who like to ruin things with spoilers, and no that's not what im doing. If youre reading this comment you already spoiled the entire game for yourself most likely.
We already have a venom game that aged well, called Ultimate Spiderman.
A venom game with death would never be made by insomniac they wouldnt get permission to make a 18+ game ( its angering how so many immature kids who seem to be overly happy psychopaths even are allowed to play 18+ games thats literally child abuse. )
No one actually wants a venom game, they think they do.
The only venom depicted with organic web swinging is the awesome venom from Spiderman 3, which only had the wrong actor cast to be eddie brock.
Personally, i want a prototype reboot or a prototype 3. Take everything the first 2 games did right, and add more to it, some ability customization and get the people who did devil may cry 5 to work on it. Then give it some basic character customization, mostly being focused on what your transaction state looks like. Then have some basic game modes like co op for story, pvp, and take over the area modes for online.
Marvels spiderman ruined his web swinging by coloring the synthetic webs black for literally no good reason. It doesnt look like tendril swinging it looks like incorrectly colored webs.
Im really anticipating project mugen, but i dont think they have the right idea for it. Vehicle camera is humorously high, the locomotion system looks overly automated and lacking skill, the web swinging is completely wrong that's spidermans thing. If they did that game right, it could easily be the new number 1 played game that gets anime content from other official merchandise especially if it has better combat than jump force.
Now, i dont know how well that could be done with project mugen but i know based on devil may cry 5 and prototype 1 and 2 that a prototype 3/reboot, could absolutely be successful. And it would be arguably better than a venom game with some trademark violence. Its a well liked i.p. and it would seem fresh for a lot of gamers. If they allow the ability to customize the character ( as in mostly the transformation state ) players could mimic venom and be much more satisfied with gameplay. Its still a version of new york, and with prototype 2, they did introduce a large infected island and 2 different containerd islands. Combat, locomotion, graphics, gunplay, stealth, could all be improved. Add some basic building destruction similar to red faction guerilla, and combat in the red zone ( the infected island) would become epic.
A venom game seems like it would be a knock off prototype game, and if it doesnt allow symbiot customization with different types such as strength based speed based, male, female, then i dont honestly care. We already got enough bad venom gameplay in marvels spiderman 2 and Ultimate spiderman was decent for its time.
Personally, i dont even care about a new wolverine game. Id rather get a phenomenal spawn game in Detroit, or prototype 3/reboot.
Marvels spiderman 2 also needs to fix the black web swinging, its lame.

Personally, I don't think I'll be buying this Venom game. The way they handled Venom in Spider-Man 2 basically killed any interest I had in seeing the future of his character in this universe that Insomniac are building. Maybe the DLC can change that, by course correcting HARD but at this point who knows?
