🍫 Quick Chocolate Sauce
· 1/2 cup cacao powder
· 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
· 1/3 cup maple syrup
· 1/3 cup plant milk store bought or homemade, I like soy, almond, or oat milk as they tend to be a bit thicker
In a small saucepan combine all ingredients with a heat safe whisk over a low heat for 2 to 3 minute until combine and creamy.
Serve warm or cold. Store leftovers in a glass jar with lid for up to 1 week. Works great as a dip with fresh fruit, poured over banana nice cream, or by a spoonful with peanut butter for the ultimate quick sweet treat.
🍝 Cauliflower Fettuccini Alfredo
· 8 ounces fettuccini
· 1 large zucchini, spiralized or peeled into strips with a vegetable peeler
· 1/2 large yellow onion, diced
· 3 cloves garlic, minced
· Small head of cauliflower, about 4 cups
· 1 cup vegetable broth
· 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
· 2 teaspoons lemon juice
· 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce OR coconut amino
· 1 tablespoon white miso paste
· 1/3 cup hemp seeds
· Salt and black pepper to taste
For Serving:
· Fresh arugula
· Fresh parsley
· Red crushed chili flakes
1 Prep your veggies. Get the pasta cooking according to package directions. The sauce will come together while the pasta cooks. In a large skillet heat a 1/4 cup of water, then add the onion and garlic and cook for 3 minutes. Add the cauliflower and vegetable broth. Cover and let the cauliflower steam for 5 minutes.
2 Carefully transfer all of the ingredients from the skillet to high speed blender along with the nutritional yeast, lemon juice, soy sauce, miso, and hemp seeds. Blend on high for 1 to 2 minutes until smooth. Salt and pepper to taste. Transfer cooked pasta, spiralized zucchini back to the skillet used before then pour sauce over and combine.
Il so glad I found your channel! I have been watching so many of your videos while traveling today! You have inspired me with great ideas to get back to plant based eating. I know it is the best for me. It’s difficult to make separate meals, as my husband is not plant based but you really have simple, great meal ideas! Thank you for sharing your ideas and knowledge of plant based recipes and weight loss!
Oh yay! So glad you are here and enjoying what I share 💚
Absolutely LOVE this video. So inspiring and I enjoy seeing the whole family! ❤🤗 I love the way you whip up dinner, looks so nurturing and healthy and beautiful and now I'm starving! Yum. 😋
Thank you!! 💚
I am going to try this one, look delicious!!
Victor the vole was digging around our yard this year… amazing what they can destroy!! So…..have been looking into different ways to do our garden… found it! Thanks..this looks amazing..❤️
Oh man! I get it :) I'm hoping this will work. We tried a sound frequency machine and it worked for about a month, then they didn't care anymore lol!
Wow, the kids are growing up so fast! Adorable. Great video Michele. You are both doing a great job on your garden. We have a creek behind our house. The struggle with critters is real, although some are pretty entertaining. Lol
Hi Amy! Yes, I know I feel like they are growing up so fast. So real, they want delicious veggies too :) Hope you are doing well!
@@veganmichele All is well here. You look fantastic!
I also just purchased the Vego garden beds. I think they'll be here this week and I'm soooo excited to get started!!
Wonderful! Hope you like them too :)
Love your garden. I made the switch to raised beds this year too. I am loving it. Great video
Awesome! Thanks for watching ☺️
Love Eli’s honest child reaction. Not sure if he likes it or not. Too funny to watch!
I know, I definitely dont want to force him to eat chocolate because what a gift to not like it LOL
@@veganmichele also, when my
Kids hated foods we found out
Later they had an intolerance
To it. So smart to never force
A food
@stephaniewaskoenig1387 yes! Our bodies instinctually know, don’t they.
This was a great video. Thank you for the garden content.
Thank you Christina!!
I would love to see a dedicated video of low cholesterol dinner ideas!!
Hi Shirley, I can absolutely do that, and in the mean time know that all the Wfpb recipes I share promote low cholesterol ❤️
@@veganmichele Awesome!
Thank you for the nut free sauce recipe!
You are welcome!
Yes! Love the garden tour. I feel like growing your own food is so empowering and fun.
I totally agree! Thanks for watching!
I love the garden! Both recipes looked delicious and I will have to make them asap. One of my daughters hates chocolate, too! I think it's so funny.
Thank you Dyanne! lol, they are funny aren’t they 😂
Another fantastic what Michele ate in a day video with a garden tour (love 😍 garden tours) and love 🥰 the video. Love ❤ Michele.
Thank you David. I was hoping to show even more progress but it will have to wait till next time☺️
I think that I envy your son for not liking chocolate! How funny and cute he is. I will absolutely make your chocolate sauce. thanks
Haha me too! Enjoy Sheryl☺️
My son has always disliked chocolate. I don't understand it, and think he must have been sent here by aliens.
@@desireemeredith4929 How funny
That Alfredo looks beautiful! I make a cauliflower Alfredo sauce as well, but adding a touch of miso is something I'll have to try! And including the zucchini ribbons to the pasta... brilliant idea. You've inspired me to level-up my recipe! Thanks, and I love your channel!! ❤️
Awesome! Hope you enjoy the add ins ☺️
Thank you so much for sharing all that you do with us!..❤🙏
I have a tip for you..
I saw that you have a horse trailer in your drive. And I saw you with a horse a long time ago in one of your videos.
All natural liquid fertilizer.. 1/2 dozen pieces of horse poop in a 5 gallon bucket filled with water..let sit for a week or so..
It's super high in nitrogen, and all of your plants will love it! Just don't put it on the leaves..
My cherry tomatoes last year were over 4 feet tall, and I had soooo many!!
And I picked Kale and Swiss chard from spring through winter..
Hi Kim, thank you for your tip! Actually we used to do this when we still had a horse, but no longer do. It really does help though if anyone reading this can try it out :)
I love this and can't wait to see all that comes from the garden. What brand is your cookware?
Thanks Trisha! Me too :) right now I'm using Caraway. In all honesty, I dont feel any cookware out there is "safe" but its what I'm currently using.
@@veganmichele Thank YOU! 🙂
Hello, love your show. Could you post the best quality pasta. Try the wheat ones, they are like cardboard. thank you really appreciate all your advise.
Hi! I personally like a brown rice or quinoa millet mix. Keep trying you will find one that works. I'm not sure where you are located, but I feel like Trader Joes and Lotus Foods make my favorite ones.
Great vlog! Love both the gardening and cooking 🥬💚
Thanks so much! 😊
I just read to keep moles away put whirlygigs / pinwheels (from dollar store) around the garden, the moles don’t like the vibrations. I have no idea if works.
Thank you! We did this last year and nothing, but I appreciate it☺️
Hi Michelle, thank you for the great content❤What type of pots are you using?
The pots we do have in use just came from our local hardware store, nothing fancy ☺️
Hehe check out the morning hair on hubby, loves you keep it real
Haha :)
What juicer is that? Do you like it?
Hi! It’s so old, but still kicking. It’s by Caynel, a slow masticating juicer, but I think they may have gone out of business.
Plant a moranga tree ❤
Wish I could but our climate isn't good for those :)
@@veganmichele keep in pot in and out ...then green house
