I don’t remember learning about the holocaust in school but I remember watching movies about it and reading library books. My mother gave me a couple of books about the holocaust. I read Corrie Ten Boom and others. I have been interested in reading about that period in history. Thank you for telling of your experiences during that horrific time. God bless you.

Thank you for teaching and standing up against the ignorance. I am born and raised in Germany and our education on holocaust is big, we visit concentration camps while visiting school and modern history is a big part of history class. Still some choose ignorance and carrying the torch of being hateful. I for myself became utterly gloomy and sick while visiting Dachau, my Kid visited Buchenwald some years ago and my husband has seen Auschwitz.
Before I go back down that dark rabbit hole I just wanna say how thankful I am that your bubby is here and healthy as she can be, please cherish every moment ❤ much love and blessings from Germany

My Holocaust education was sufficient. We learned about it a little in school, but visiting the museum in DC was the most informative. As an adult, I've learned more on my own, but I will never forget the things I saw at the museum. And that was over 20 years ago.

As painful as it is for your bubbly. To tell those stories, I think it is awesome that she has the courage to do so. And as she had said at 1 point to educate us onthese horrible incidences so that they never happen again, especially like right now. What's happening Currently in those areas of the world. As far as I'm concerned, as long as she is willing to tell the stories. I am definitely interested in listening history. Was my major in high school and the diary of Anne? Frank and the story had me like mesmerized for a very long time. Trying to think about how that must have been and at some point, almost putting myself. And her shoes with her family and trying to imagine what life must have been like. And how horrible it was praying for the day that it would end and making it out alive!!

my education about the second world war was lacking as a whole. in respect of the holocaust I knew very little untill I was in very late teens and watched the film called Schindler's list. it opened my eyes to the suffering of your people and to how cruel we as humans can be. from there I read a lot of books to educate myself about the Nazi's as a whole to try to understand the thinking behind Hitlers motives and actions. I soon came to realise he was simply a crazy and wicked man who had no reason or excuse for what he did. what he (and his followers) did to your people will never be made right, and for that I am sorry. the survivors of the camps deserve more than they have received from the world. Babbi, i thankyou for this video. x

No. I went to public school in a small town and we were taught NOTHING about the Holocaust.
From kindergarten through high school.., nothing.

I feel like I've always known about the Holocaust, at least in a basic sense. I credit my parents for that. I was exposed to some books (like Night and Maus) in school, and my parents had The Hiding Place which I read. My spouse and I have also watched documentaries. I'm certain there's always more I can learn about it. My heart aches for the Jewish people then and now. God bless you and your family! 🙏

The Holocaust is beyond heartbreaking. I want to tell you that my husband and I have already decided along with most of our church that we will hide Jewish people and help them in anyway. I am willing to lose everything to help the Jewish people. Antisemitism is rising more and more. Our church was chosen by the Israeli Consulate of LA to fight antisemitism. We fight daily, I’ve lost friends, I’ve had people come against me and say horrible things to me for supporting Israel and the Jewish people. I don’t care though because I Love the God of Abraham, Isaac with all my heart, mind, and soul. 🇮🇱❤️🙏

My education was not adequate at all. I read a lot about Judaism and researched a lot on my own when in junior high and high school and college. I also babysat the Rabbis daughter in Turkey growing up. I felt that when I was an early teen things were not adding up both in my little life’s experience at a very young age and what was said to me about the holocaust (my father was very knowledgeable but told me to research to know the truth in how awful it was. ) so I did and I was horrified and sad but I have never stopped trying to know as much as I can to make sure that they are never forgotten and to make darn sure that my children never be a .00001 as ignorant as those disgusting Natzis. I am a 47 year old female with Autism and I am Turkish and German and I am not Jewish but I am human and thank you for sharing your story. Bless you for being able to talk about your experiences. ❤️🏳️‍🌈🧩

In Europe (Romania) we had history lessons about this topic. Everyone would be shocked and paid very much attention about this terifiant part of the history. Nowdays we have synagogues that are transformed in museums where kids go to learn about this. We have a few Jewish people left in my city - but those who had died are commemorated. This is a part of our culture and community here - no matter of religion.

I live in South Wales UK, and I don't think the education regarding holocaust survivors was adequate. They just skim over the surface. It needs to be taught for years to come how tough they had it. I would love to go back to night school and learn more about history.

My education didn’t cover much of the holocaust so it was definitely lacking!

No, I don’t think the holocaust education was adequate. I think it is far from adequate. We need to know all there is to know about it so history does not repeat itself.

We do learn much here in Austria, most schools I know visit a concentration camp and read Anne Frank or similar books in the German lessons. And we learn the basics. We also had a witness come to our school. But I think we could still learn more and witnessing a camp should be a must. Especially considering the the fat right gets more votes nowadays
