Bruh I was crying at the scene where he recognized his wife's perfume and successfully helped his daughter.
I died.. been so long.. still can't watch this movie again.. hit the feels hard
Me too so sad
And "thank you" note
I bawled the exact same time. It’s like I got so emotionally attached to the 3 of em and when he was speared, I just couldn’t take it no more.
I started bawling when the Aboriginal lady lifts up baby Rosie’s shirt and we see the “THANK YOU” message her daddy wrote on her tummy with Toomi’s white paint.
Omg same. I put of this movie for so long and I just finally watched. When I saw the "thank you" I remembered how the wife had written "save her" I cried so hard 😭
goddessvenom when what time was it at??!
It was at the end of the movie.
Thanks I watched it and I can’t stop crying this movie is to sad
@@Clover-oe7bc you’re welcome love. It’s so sad but such a testament of a parents love 🥰
What a father.
Even trying to think for his daughter AFTER turning.

Love your vids yes I watch them
Yup
"Not even death will stop me from protecting her."
When the little girl let Andy smell the perfume before he died literally made me cry 😢😭😭
This was a short film originally. I remember the imagery of a zombie with an infant on his back walking along following a piece of meat on a stick.

Yeah as i recall it won awards, i watched it a few times. The same writers made this movie.
I recall that also!!
I cried when the father died and left his little girl alone without a father
Nader Azzam she wasnt really alone she was left with a tribe
RazerDarky I meant without her father or any of her parents
Its like train to busan
Nader Azzam yea but his daughter won’t really be alone the tribe is her new family and as I saw at the end they will treat her as one of their own
My father left me in an airport
It was so sad when they lifted up rosie's shirt seeing the "Thank You" Message written on her belly. Such a great movie.
So good!

Andy's Baby's name is Rosie.
John Watson Baby's name is Rosie...
Damn it John!
Yeah, I'd genuinely like to know if that was actually just coincidence- or the creator's a fan of Sherlock. But lol, even before I heard her name, all I could think was AU Sherlock. So I gave it some thought, and came up with Sherlock, John and Molly (as a friend only but occupies the mothers role) going to Australia for a case that would naturally be based on The Adventure of the Gloria Scott. But while there, the 'zombie' outbreak traps them in Australia and forces them to hide out longterm on the boat. Then Molly gets bit and as the events of the movie, ends up biting John. Although in this scenario, Sherlock would have to become unreliable in some way that doesn't remove the whole baseline of the plot being John now needs to find someone to look after Rosie before he succumbs to the plague. And I'm loathe to kill him off to accomplish that scenario, so any thoughts? :-)
MRPandoraHartDR I think it’d be a really cool twist if instead of Sherlock being there with him as well, he could show up as hallucinations from the bite whenever John feels helpless. And with every hallucination he gets, it gives a the backstory to how Sherlock died and how they ended up in a house boat. Make people go “oh shit” he was never there to begin with!
Nicole Santos, That's actually a really clever idea and one that changes my mind on Sherlock's survival, plus I think a way to further deceive the audience would have the reality be that Sherlock left the other three on the boat, in order to try and find a way to get an SOS to his brother in London. But after Molly is attacked, we're made to think Sherlock returns to the boat. In reality though, John just imagines his return as a coping method for having to deal with Molly's turning, but after he gets bit he actually starts fully hallucinating him. Also, how about upping the sad and have it that both Molly and John actually die without ever knowing Sherlock's fate, (since he never actually returned to the boat), and only the audience find out he died, via a final scene with Mycroft (some men and a helicopter) standing over the sad remains of his little brother and deducing he got bit before he could return to the boat and rather than turn zombie turned his gun on himself.
Dang that's deep and sounds super awesome!
MRPandoraHartDR Holy shit. Can this be a story or something??? You like took my idea and made it 10x better lmao! That’s exactly what I was thinking! I’d love to see those moments with Sherlock talking to John while he’s hallucinating
OMG. I love how they included the aboriginals in a Aussie setting, aborigines are important part of Australia and basically never gets mentioned outside of Australia
And they're the heroes of the movie.
They not important more then anybody
Yeah, I come from mostly aboriginal descent and it makes me happy when in movies aboriginal people are main characters in any Australian movie, it also makes me happy when I see aboriginal actors in international movies, for example Lasarus Ratuere who played Ishikawa in Ghost in the shell that came out a couple years ago
Wait nm, I'm wrong, Lasarus comes from Fijian descent, not aboriginal, mb

Now thats the best dad ever you could have
Yep gets your mom killed cause of lies, gets you in horrible danger because he consistently refused to listen to his wife's ideas, instead of just saying yes dear and living a happy life he decides to demand that do things his way ending up with HIM getting bit by his wife when she would be dead under a tree if he listened to her, but noooo he had to prolong her suffering and then making one more bad decision after the next to inevitably orphan his daughter and lead to his demise.... And the father of the Year award goes to! xP
jesus christ calm down
@Lunix one, learn proper grammar, you're using the wrong words. Lmbo second wow the bar for being a good dad has been severely dropped. So it takes to get that time is to, by your own definition, fuck up and get you and your wife killed because you refused to listen any other persons ideas other than your own, not even allowing your wife to go out peacefully and all just to end up dead not knowing if he truly saved his daughter the only reason he submitted and listened to the girls idea is because he completely ran out of options and HAD to give in to someone else's idea. That is the epitome of a stubborn headed BAD DAD that if any bad thing would happen on earth he would probably end up getting his family and/or himself killed instead of taking time to put heads together and allowing his wife a chance to make a decision.... Oh wait, that's exactly what happened. So I feel very sorry for you if THIS is your idea of a good dad, cause your dad must suck crap if this is a more appealing choice of dad. Cause getting my mom killed and himself killed to orphan me at age one kinda sounds like he missed the point of being a father. I'm sure you're an absolute downer at parties with talk about your must-haves to make a good dad. xD *your list: #1. A pulse 2. You and mom stay alive and around long enough to make it to at least 6 months for good rank 1 year for great 3or more, best dad ever l. 3 get mom killed and still continue to ignore her while she's dying.* Holy Crap the TRIFECTA! No wonder you thought this dad was friggin Father Abraham.xP
This mad 😢
It's just a fucking movie dick bread
One of the things that struck me was that, in the first half Andy and Tumi are seeking the same thing. In the case of Andy "modern medicine and science will save my wife" because as someone living in modern society he places his faith in science. Tumi hopes that the Cleverman, representing of the native faith and culture, will save her father. In the end, it's human kindness that they rely on, saving Rosie.
The whole story is:
Earth: *IF IM GOING DOWN, THEN IM TAKING YOU DOWN WITH ME*
**All Disaster Movies intensifies**
God: i can't believe they actually thought we were going to help them!
How is Earth going down? In fact, the best thing for mother earth happening is, if humankind is wiped out.
The virus theory was pretty weak. I do hope that the director didn't intend on BRRR Fracking bad BRRRr!
The only dangers of fracking are plate tectonic shifts and poisoning ground water. If they'd actually be carefull they could avoid any negative side effects.
@@1Ashram earth doesn't give a shit about you hippies.
Earth is just as "happy" if she becomes mars as she is now. She doesn't care.
It's a planet for F's sake.
Now, if you'd rephrase that as in "let's preserve the conditions that made life possible" that would be something else.
Fun fact: a part of global warming (and cooling) is due to nature.
Another fun fact: Humans produce only a tiny amount of co2, but since we're tipping the scale it accumulates just like the US debt. The planet slowly adapted in the last million years. More co2 allows for more greenery and it also goes the other way around. we're moving too fast for the planet.

I mean, I'm sorry to be the one to put a dampener on this movie's ending but statistically speaking, odds are good that little white baby is in for a seriously fucked up life.
Edward Carnby what the fuck? What?
+Daeven Ville
You can call me racist all you want but I'm telling you unequivocally that we have a serious problem with child abuse in Indigenous Australian communities here in Australia (and that's to say nothing of the epidemics of substance abuse, domestic violence, incest, and worse in these communities).
Nobody wants to talk about it and films like this try to act like it doesn't exist for the sake of portraying Indigenous Australians as 'noble savages'. Well, no, the problem does exist and this ending is just downright unrealistic because of it, sorry.
Edit: Just try and walk into a serious Indigenous community as a white person who isn't wearing a police uniform and see how it goes. You'll find out all too quickly how 'noble' these people really are.
Edward Carnby but take into account what’s going on in the movie. It’s not the same world we live in. In this world their are more worried about survival than anything else so that could cause a change in the abuse you were talking about.
Cargo was the best short film I watched in a while and reminded me why I love the creators of Tropfest. When I heard they were doing a movie around the same concept I was thrilled! Such a shame it didn’t get more media buzz.
This movie’s ending made me cry. ITS A GOOD ASS MOVIE IF IT MAKES ME CRY. I NEVER CRY.
So it's basically like that short film about literally the exact same thing just that this one is with extras to make it longer.
Zena I'm pretty certain the other kids name was Rosie too? I think they are made by the same people.
Zena I thought I was the only one!!! Saw that a while ago lol
the creator of that short is actually a producer in this film
I think the short is also called cargo, it would make sense if they were made by the same person.
The short was also called Cargo. My favorite short film ever.

You got me worried at one point that the parfume might be the cure.
perfume*
jayden slobe parfume is french word for perfume.
Kunai Senpai There's no need to be rude for a simple mistake
OG I don't know, People who correct someone but they themselves are wrong are basically asking for it.
Christian Lovato But it's quite obvious that he is not French so he didn't know that perfume was spelled that way, hence I said it was a mistake.
I can only hope to go with kindness as she did for that man. Spraying that perfume to give him one last sense of "normal" and happy was truly beautiful
You forgot to mention what was written on the baby.
King Leo XVII what was that?
"Thank You ".. with white traditional zombie repellent
The mom also wrote "save her" in blood too
“THANK YOU “
I'm really close to my dad, so watching Andy do everything for Rosie, including giving his own, hit me right in the feels. The whole movie kind of revolved around that father/daughter love, Andy and Rosie, and Toomie and her dad. Incredibly moving.
I feel like I've seen this exact movie but as a short movie done by UA-camrs some long time ago. It ends with the infected guy becoming a zombie, but he hangs a bag of meat in front of him like a carrot with a mule and distracting him from the baby on his back. Survivors eventually find and kill the zombie, but find the baby alive on his back. Does anyone else remember this short or am I making it up?
I swear I have too! I don't know what it's called, though!
Alex Wallace I’ve seen this too, must be the same film as it is Martin freeman in the short too...

Did they just redo the short film Cargo from 2013?
Belail Dawn I kinda think they took inspiration from it.
Yeah but a longer version of it LOL
Belail Dawn yes... I didn't know about the short film until I heard this was coming out (and I deliberately avoided it); apparently the story stays pretty much the same, and I think the same writer/director of the short film did this one as well...
Took inspiration? The car scene, the pink balloon scene, the timeframe of the virus, and the ending scene where he's being "led" by meat on a stick are all exact copies from the short film.
Well they obviously did. Hope the short film creator saw some money. I remember how the luc beson film had to pay millions to die hard creators

I kinda thought of how when the diggers put their heads in holes is kinda about the whole myth about how ostriches put their heads in the ground. I mean, i know its not true but i thought maybe its just a nod toward it.
i mean we could really go into this theory. 1 the term "Diggers" is what we call our army vets but mainly the ANZACS
from WW1 as they had to dig trenchers in Gallipoli (which is a very important battle more like culling but is very important in AUS and NZ) so they always had to keep their head down. other wise they would get shot.

this movie is more than heartbreaking
I love the way this movie puts their take on zombie esque movies, it’s way different to other movies like this, it really does focus on character introduction and character progression, and I love it.
I remember I watched this movie when I was a little younger and oh my lord this was the best movie out there.
I loved this movie. Such an imaginative and very different way to use "zombies".
Although their behavior did remind me of the Dark Seekers in I Am Legend and sort of the creatures in The last of us game.
Very good message too. If something like this were to happen, only those which are still in tuned to the earth will survive.
if there's ever a world wide die out, native peoples will survive longer than the western world.
Why could the guy in this movie be a perfect live action character for last of us
Yes just yes
