Captain Disillusion is a relic of old youtube who's still just as amazing as he was back then. I'm glad he finally got the recognition he deserves.
Edit: I didn't intend for this to seem rude or as a backhanded compliment. I should mention that I've been subbed to him since 2008 when my channel was made. The Captain along with Andrew kramer, real G's know about video copilot, are the ones who originally got me into vfx. I was about 12 back then. I'm now 23 and I'm working on getting a career in vfx!

Fun fact about what they said about the gun in the doom clip being filmed separately, is that in First Person Shooter games the gun is also being rendered independently by a different camera put on top of the rest. That way if you clip the weapon through something, by being to close to a wall for example, the model will always appear in its entirety instead of half of it being behind a wall. (probably very well known fact but thought it was an interesting coincidence)

It’s rendered as a seperate element so that the end never clips into things.

CptD, without you, and that gift of love you've passed along... all the entertainment, KNOWLEDGE and joy... bolstering my already curious mind every time I watch a CptD vid. I truly believe I'd never have found Corridor Digital..

That video of Niko and how he manages people... *chef kiss*
I'm in management... happy to admit, I stole from your "bag of tricks". NAY! You inspired me to be better.
Thank you for always leaving things better than you found it. Thanks for being such AMAZING educators.
